After Obi-Wan finally sees Anakin’s true form for the first time, things are awkward. Anakin is very self conscious, ducking his head and pulling his hood up in an effort to reveal himself as little as possible around Obi-Wan.

While this behavior is confusing as hell to eveyone else, considering to them, Anakin looks normal, but to Obi-Wan, it breaks his heart. Jedi aren’t supposed to be vain about their looks, but the fact that Anakin doesn’t feel comfortable at all in his body makes Obi-Wan start to try and ease Anakin’s discomfort.

It’s especially troubling when Anakin’s body shifts random parts from his other, more aggressive form. Growing his sharp, jagged teeth when eating, growing an extra tentacle from his back in a sparring match, or worse, sporting several more eyes on his arm in the shower.

During such incidents Obi-Wan promptly grabs Anakin and sits down with him, casually touching him to assure him that what’s happening doesn’t bother him, that he accepts (loves) Anakin no matter what state his body is in.

Anakin is wary at first but after doing these intimate sessions he relaxes, feeling more at ease and comfortable. Of course it’s mainly because of these sessions the two end up getting into a REALLY intimate relationship.
