I’ve been real into Dom Boba lately. There’s just something about him. Din’s Sub collar has beskar studs and ring, and is inspired by SWModdy’s Sweet Princess series on AO3.
I’ve been fleshing out the Modern Mando AU that’s been bouncing about in my head for the past little bit and might actually end up writing something for it soon!
What I’ve got so far:
Din works for Boba (and Fennec, who’s 2IC) at Boba’s Espresso bar, which is a bit of a hotspot for bike/car sorts.
Things tend to be pretty mellow for the most part because most people know that Boba (/Fennec/Din/Cobb [if it gets rowdy enough]) will not tolerate any bull on their block. [”Take that shit to the Princess’ Palace!”]
Grogu has become something of a shop mascot. He comes with Din whenever he isn’t at Kindergarten.
Cobb is a chef/bartender next door at Mos Pelgo Bar + Grill.
Cobb and Boba have a bit of a love/hate relationship going on, but Din’s starting to suspect that at this point it’s mostly for show.
On Din’s first week he and Cobb ran into each other sitting out the back of the shop/s for their lunch breaks. Then it became a bit of a thing. Now Cobb cooks them both lunch at Mos Pelgo and will come and collect Din at lunch time.
Boba and Fennec have come to refer to these as dates with the Cowboy and every now and then will babysit Grogu for the hour. [”Kid doesn’t need to see that nonsense.”]
There may or may not be a betting pool between Boba, Fennec, Weequay, and the regulars from both Boba’s and Mos Pelgo over when they’ll actually end up getting together.
A really rough couple of pieces for the Mandalorian: Modern/Human AU idea that’s been stuck in my head for the past few days now.
Alternatively, I both did some sketches during the day and failed to sleep tonight, culminating in this. Or, I’m going to ride with sudden wave of creative inspiration for as long as it lasts.
