Anakin’s from is resistant to both blaster fire and lightsabers, making him a walking tank. He’s also got super strength, and when worked up his touch can melt solid steel. (Obi-Wan is immune to this effect) The weakness of this form however is the longer Anakin is like this, the longer the recovery period will be.
He can spend a solid week in bed, unable to move as his muscles are in agony from the transformation. So they have to be very sure if they enable this ability if they want to ensure they’re not left weak to another attack soon after.
