So this is one half of my submission for the @obikinbigbang 2017! (I have a companion Obi-Wan piece coming but unfortunately that won’t be ready for the deadline.)

Here is Anakin as the tarot card ‘The Fool’! It’s based on a fic by @grayjedii so you’ll have to read it once it’s posted to decide if I did her writing justice 😋 FYI: It’s more ‘inspired by’ rather than ‘directly illustrative of’! I wanted to give the impression of fate and destiny and forces beyond his control deciding his path for him.

So remember when I told you guys that Senator Padmé Amidala herself befriends Commander Cody so they can discuss the clones and their lives, and she probably buys him clothing as a gift to say thanks because she is a fashion icon?

Well…. have yourself a sharply dressed clone.

polarspaz:

This is when Obi-Wan finds Anakin after he disappeared for four months on Tatooine. The meeting is bittersweet, especially when Anakin sees the burn scars on Obi-Wan’s face, burns that he caused.

Later on when Anakin reunites with the 501st and Ashoka it’s almost too much for him. Every single one of them has scars just like Obi. One of Rex’s eyes is gone, Ahsoka’s Lekku are tinged on the side, and every single clone has some hint of damage from his rampage.

The guilt is so strong is nearly breaks him, and he tries to flee again, but Obi-Wan thankfully stops him. It’s soon revealed to him that his comrades are actually proud of their scars, after all who else can say the fought a dragon and survived?

It doesn’t ease Anakin’s conscious, but it does drive him to be even more protective of them all. It becomes a common, and slightly terrifying sight, to see a giant dragon on the battlefield with the 501st, melting hundreds of droids with a single breath and crushing ariel ships with a single snap of it’s jaws.

After all, it’s always wise decision to stay away from a dragon and it’s treasured hoard.
