Are they able to heal Obi-Wan in Resist the dark or did the lose their third? If they do heal him, what effects does this have on Obi?
They both stood
side by side, watching the redhead bob slowly in the bacta as healers
scurried around them quietly.
Only a few noises
disturbed them, the beeps of machines and the bubbling of the tank as
Obi-Wan in the warm tank.
“I want them
dead.” Anakin finally said, not looking away from Obi-Wan, his
yellow eyes flickering over the others body as he took in the scar
where the others organs had spilled out. With enough time in bacta,
even that would disappear but he knew if it hadn’t been for the
Jedi healers, Obi-Wan would be dead.
Qui-Gon didn’t
answer, eyes still on Obi-Wan’s body and a bacta patch on his face.
His hair was shorn short from where it had been burned and his beard
was fully gone as the explosion had damaged.
“Do you hear me
Qui-Gon? I want them found and I want them dead.” Anakin hissed
slightly.
“Who?” Qui-Gon
questioned blandly.
“The ones who did
this!” Anakin whirled on his older lover, eyes curling with rage as
darkness exploded through the Jedi temple.
Neither noticed the
tense sentinels or healers or Windu suddenly appearing in the doorway
with his hand on his saber.
“And who is that
Anakin?” Qui-Gon returned just as blandly, not even ruffled by the
younger mans anger.
The question left
Anakin at loss as he stared at him until finally Qui-Gon looked away
from the tank to meet the others eyes. Anakin’s mouth was open
before he growled. “So we do nothing?”
“Of course not.”
Qui-Gon snorted, crossing his arms over his chest, becoming that damn
bastion of common sense that Anakin really did not need in that
moment. “We turn to patience and we find them but for now we do not
know anything, only that someone planted a bomb on Coruscant in the
middle of a busy shopping street that took out Obi-Wan and mines legs
along with other victims.” He narrowed his eyes before tilting his
head to the doorway. “Something I hope the Jedi Order is
investigating with the troopers Master Windu.” He said in a clipped
tone.
Anakin turned
quickly to meet the eyes of the Master of the Order, his own lips
pursed as he glared at him though Windu did nothing but stare back.
Finally he inclined
his head. “Of course… Lord Jinn.” The title obviously burned
the Jedi but they had no choice but to play nice with the two Sith
running their government as Coruscant actually fell beneath their
hands and fawned over them.
Fawned!
“And what do you
know, if any?” Anakin growled.
Narrowing his eyes
a bit in return, Windu slowly approached the unstable Sith. “Former
Palpatine sycophants. They made their target to your… most
vulnerable spot.” His eyes glanced to Obi-Wan for a moment.
“They’re
getting bold.” Qui-Gon murmured to himself even as Anakin fumed
before he whirled on the man.
“This is the
eight attack! This time Obi-Wan got hurt! Qui-Gon!”
Before Anakin could
yell more, the older Sith finally had enough and reached out to cup
the others cheek, stroking gently before guiding him towards his
chest and hugging him. “Calm down, we’ll make this right.” He
murmured, ignoring Jedi around them as he tucked Anakin beneath his
chin. “We’ll make this right, for Obi-Wan.” He quietly added.
