This drawing was done for the third annual Jinnobi Challenge (Oct 1 – 28). 

My first attempt at this concept didn’t work out but I persevered and here it is! General Jinn and General Kenobi, facing the war together <3. Obi-Wan is, of course, wearing Clone armor but I liked the idea of Qui-Gon scavenging the armor/plating of a B2 Super Battle Droid since they’re closer to his height. The contrast between the two armor styles is really intriguing. I also wanted to show that although Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon have become thinner and more ragged as the war drags on, they’re determined to stay in the fight. They have each other, which is what really matters. 

Drawing-wise, it’s hard to say if I enjoyed drawing their armor more, or their hair. Obi-Wan’s Ep. III hair is amazing and I imagine that Qui-Gon’s hair (probably completely silver by now) only gets longer as the years go by…
