Okay if Shkma is in-temple in Safehere, is there going to be any retaliation aimed at Obi-Wan?

Peeling his apple
slowly with the little fruit knife, Obi-Wan didn’t lift his head at
all to look at anyone else as lengths of green peel dropped down into
the napkin on Obi-Wan’s lap as he continued to slowly rotate the
apple to get to the pink flesh hidden beneath the green peel.

After all, the
gorgan apple was very bitter if eaten with the peel and sweet if you
only ate the flesh.

Yes, focus on the
apple and not the Jedi knight currently disembarking with Master
Windu.

Nope, no looking
up.

Obi-Wan was not
going to look up at all.

Or that had been
his intention until a pair of boots stopped in front of him and a
shadow fell over him.

Slowly Obi-Wan did
look up, meeting Olliander’s brown eyes as the man glared down at
him in contempt with his arms crossed over his chest.

From the corner of
his eyes, Obi-Wan saw Cody with his hands resting on his blasters but
he couldn’t move to his commander’s side, he only tensed up as he
stared at the man who had once tried to choke him, who had hit him,
pulled his hair, starved him and made him feel as if he was worth
nothing.

And then he
breathed out, forcing his shoulders to relax as he tilted his head to
the side, mentally shutting down parts of his mind to deal with the
situation. Obi-Wan raised one brow and put on a faintly puzzled
expression. “Is there something I can do for you Knight Shkma? I
was told you were here to decode the scrambled signal and then return
to the temple once your task was completed.” He questioned with a
dignified air that he didn’t feel.

At the visual lack
of fear however, Shkma blinked hard and looked a bit disconcerted as
every other time Obi-Wan had encountered the man had been filled with
the redhead outright fearing him or showing a massive amount of
discontent.

Finally the blond
forced a smile on his face, giving a little bow. “Pardon me Master
Kenobi. Master Yoda informed me that I was to… report myself to you
once I landed… to avoid any problematic issues.” His smile was
all white teeth, framed by a blond goatee. He would be a handsome man
if you didn’t know his reputation, with his nice brown eyes, straw
blond hair, pointed nose, high cheekbones and porcelain skin.

“Hmm, I see. Well
then, don’t let me stop you. Scurry along off to work.” Obi-Wan
smiled in return and then deliberately bowed his head and returned to
his apple, carefully peeling the last of the peel away from the
flesh.

Pretending he
wasn’t seeing the mans pale hands tighten into fists, pretending he
wasn’t ready to spring away if necessary.

Pretending he was
fine as the knight in front of him finally whirled away and stomped
towards the tent.

Only once he
disappeared into the command tent did Obi-Wan let his shoulders
slump, letting out a shuddering breath he had been holding while
relaxing his grip on the peeling knife.

He almost plunged
it into Skywalker’s hand when the knight suddenly appeared,
carefully touching Obi-Wan’s shoulder.

Clearly Skywalker
could tell it too by how Obi-Wan’s shoulders tensed beneath his
hand but he didn’t remove it, only carefully squeezed while giving
Obi-Wan a probing look. “Are you alright Master Kenobi?” He
whispered. “Want me to put a snake in the hutt-spawns bunk?”
Anakin offered, eyes hopeful

The question had
Obi-Wan’s lips quirking as he slowly relaxed beneath the touch. “I…
no, no thank you but I’m flattered for the offer.” He chuckled
quietly and nodded up to the blond. “Its nice to see you again
Knight Skywalker… or should I say Ani?” Obi-Wan teased, laughing
faintly when the others cheeks colored.

“Oh, you
remember.” Anakin rubbed the back of his neck with his mech hand.

“Indeed.”
Obi-Wan hummed, cutting out a boat from the apple and holding it out.
“Apple?” He offered, smiling slightly as the camp returned to
normal activity with the threat now in Plo’s grasp and away from
Obi-Wan.

In safehere I just realized that with ObiWan as Plo’s padawan, does that mean he was with Plo when Ahsoka was found?

A loud squeal was
the only warning Obi-Wan got before he was tackled out of his
conversation with Cody about the supply line, hitting the grassy
ground with a loud ‘omph!’ as air was driven out of him by
a togruta in armor pieces. “Obi!”

Ahsoka beamed down
at him, sitting on his stomach with her lekku’s twitching and
curling in obvious delight.

“Hello Sokka.”
Obi-Wan wheezed out before laughing shakily when she leaned down and
hugged him, wrapping his arms around her in return as he carefully
sat up so she slid down into his lap instead. “Fancy seeing you
here.” He smiled meekly.

“Me and Skyguy
are joining you and Master Plo!” She grinned happily, nodding her
head to the left where Skywalker was standing awkwardly with a small
smile on his face as he gave a wave to Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan nodded in
return to him with a polite smile and then returned his attention to
Ahsoka, raising his brow. “I know I’ve talked to you about
tackling me but I’ll let it slide this once since its been months
since we saw each other last.” He pointedly flickered her nose with
his finger.

Wiggling it a bit,
Ahsoka just laughed before standing and helping him up. “Sorry, I
know you’ve told me but I couldn’t help it. I wasn’t actually
told you’d be here, only Master Plo. Then I stepped off the shuttle
and saw you…” She trailed off, still grinning.

“And you ran
right at me.” Obi-Wan finished, rolling his eyes fondly with a
small smile on his face before he suddenly smirked. “And would you
look at that, you’re catching up to me. Tiny thing you were when we
meet.”

Laughing a bit,
Ahsoka shrugged. “Well you carried me around on your hip when we
meet.”

Snorting, Obi-Wan
patted her on the head. “Both master Plo and I did, we traded since
you were a precocious little thing.” He teased before gesturing.
“Now run back to your master, I need to finish my conversation with
my commander. I’ll be sure to catch up with you later though
Sokka.” He winked.

Giving a little
whine, Ahsoka nodded before returning to Anakin, grinning up at him.
“Told you he’d be happy to see me.” She chirped.

Rolling his eyes a
bit, Anakin nodded with a grin twisting his lip. “Well I wouldn’t
know. I don’t really know Master Kenobi all that well.” He said,
shrugging a bit while pretending he didn’t have a one night stand
with said man back before he became a knight. Sweet Force, if Plo
ever discovered that, it be an interrogation even if they weren’t
really anything but a casual hookup at a bar.

Anakin hadn’t
even known that Obi-Wan was a Jedi at the time!

It just been a
night out, some fun, some time away from the temple since Qui-Gon had
allowed him to go with other senior padawans for some fun.

Though if Kenobi
even remembered him was a question, they hadn’t really been upfront
with their names as Anakin had been just Ani and Kenobi had
introduced himself as Ben. And if the rumor mill was any correct then
Anakin didn’t want to have a reason for Plo to focus on him since
everyone knew that Plo was considered protective of his former
padawan because of how everything had gone down.

And Anakin wouldn’t
blame him if the rumors were indeed correct.

Olliander Shkma
deserved to rot in the jail they had kept him in, not be out and
about in the temple even if he was under observation and not allowed
to have any under his command.

Well at least
Ahsoka was happy to see both Master Plo and Kenobi again, that was

Okay your Safehere ‘verse is fantastic and makin me feel all feels so please dude if you have the time will you do a fluffy lil piece with Plo and Obi-Wan

Looking
up in confusion when they heard a grouchy little mewling noise,
Wolffe watched as his General made an amused little noise to himself
as there was some shuffling from the tent he and General Kenobi had
shared since the other Jedi had arrived.

And
then he blinked even harder when Kenobi did appear in the tent
opening, blanket wrapped around himself and his hair a mess, clearly
just awake as he peered blearily around before zeroing in on the kel
dor who lifted his arm in invitation where he was sitting on a mat.

Instantly
the redhead scuttled over to him and dropped down beside the Jedi,
tucking himself beneath the offered arm and making himself quite at
home against Plo’s chest while closing his eyes.

Wolffe
could hear a spoon drop into a bowl and figured it might be Warthog,
who had been the
only vode at the moment eating
but he couldn’t look away from the two Jedi because low be that he
knew Kenobi and Koon trusted them, they had often voiced that but
this was…

“I
told you to go to bed early Obi-Wan.” Plo chuckled quietly, setting
his pad aside that he had been reading before shifting a bit to make
sure the redhead was comfortable, tucking the blanket a bit more
around the other man, who was still clearly in what constituted as
sleep clothes, before he reached up and slowly ran his claws through
the red hair, smoothing it out steadily.

“Plans,
missives…blugh… do that again.” The redhead whined a bit,
shuffling a bit closer in his rumpled sleep clothes as he rubbed his
cheek against the others Jedi chest as the kel dor was quietly
laughing still while running his claws steadily through the others
hair.

“I’d
suggest you grab a few more hours Obi-Wan, we still have some time
before we need to move out and I can wake you in time to get ready
before we leave.” Plo offered helpfully before snorting to himself
when Obi-Wan let out a deep snore against his chest.

Carefully
Plo shifted him around until Obi-Wan was laying down with his head in
the others lap, his legs straightening out slowly without anyone
touching them which told Wolffe that the General was doing it with
the Force instead of moving as he got his former padawan suited
comfortably.

Once
that was done, he tucked the blanket around the man once again and
then passed his claws affectionately over a bearded cheek before he
picked up his pad once more.

No
one said a thing for a long moment.

Until
the General spoke up himself. “Obi-Wan often has issues with
feeling safe.” Plo started, not looking up from his pad. “He lets
down his guard however around me however and enters a sleepy state
where he lets himself be vulnerable.” The man paused a bit, clearly
contemplating before sending a warm smile to Wolffe and Cody, who had
been sitting beside the other commander. “Must mean he feels secure
enough around the vode too it seems as he’s allowing you all to see
him like this. A good sign.” He chuckled warmly and returned to his
pad once more.

Exchanging
looks with a pleased looking and awed Cody, Wolffe scratched the back
of his neck in bemusement before quirking his lips slightly at his
younger vod. “Good sign?”

Good
sign.” Cody agreed, nodding slightly before looking back to his own
General with a fond smile on his face.

Well,

Well,

Safehere…. Would love to see more Obi-wan with daddy plo… Maybe a future fic with the clones?

Their General is
one of the most amazing Jedi Wolffe has had the pleasure of meeting,
a calm and warm presence that the vode have come to rely on and trust
as the man put them above the missions more then once.

It was not
something the Commander would ever forget as the kel dor had smiled
at them behind his googles and called them important.

Them, clones,
important.

The very concept
was absurd because they were mass produced to be an army but to Plo
they actually mattered.

Was it little
wonder that the Wolf pack worshiped the ground the man walked on?

And so they also
cared for the mans former padawan, one Obi-Wan Kenobi which explained
why Wolffe kept in touch with Commander Cody to hear what the
redheaded General was doing in case he was injured or otherwise
detained.

After all, anything
that happened to Obi-Wan Kenobi would surely affect Plo as the kel
dor had never made any attempt to hide his care for him, always quick
to assure General Kenobi with a quick hand on his head or shoulder or
an outright hug.

Kenobi would always
tense up, just for a second, before melting into the touch and
sending Plo what Wolffe would call a delicate, sweet natured smile
with a tiny bit of uncertainty.

It had taken him a
ridiculously long time to learn why the redhead was that way, why
High General Kenobi was leery of touch.

And when he did he
had to take a couple of long drinks out of a moonshine that he wasn’t
suppose to know about because karking hell, he had no idea Jedi did
that to their own though apparently the abuse case of General Kenobi
was one of a rarity and the last at least of that severity.

But it explained
much of the mans behavior.

And so maybe some
of his own General’s behavior is contagious because Wolffe finds
that he wants to look after the redhead when he finally disembarks
down the ramp to greet Plo, the two embracing tightly before Plo
carefully pushes Obi-Wan back to look him over with one hand still
holding onto the redhead’s shoulder.

“A bit skinny
looking padawan, but you look like you’ve been sleeping at least my
boy if that color in your cheeks are any indication.” Plo chuckled
faintly.

Coloring a bit,
Obi-Wan shrugged and fell into step with his former master. “I’ve
gotten some sun, that’s all. Being out in the open air is good for
the human body as you well know.” Obi-Wan teased a bit, knocking
their shoulders together.

Wolffe meanwhile
greeted Cody quietly as the two commanders fell into step behind
their General’s, hand signaling to each other about the condition
of the camps, their General’s and general outlay of the CSI as they
currently knew about them.

In front of them,
Plo rests his hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder and by the grasp on it, it
alerts Wolffe that something has happened.

His stomach sinks a
bit when the General speaks finally. “I heard you encountered
Shkma…” The kel dor murmured.

“Mmmn.” Obi-Wan
made a noise and a half aborted shrug. “We need every capable
Jedi.” He said quietly.

“That man is not
a Jedi.” Plo rumbled deeply, sliding his arm around Obi-Wan’s
shoulders. “At least he’s not in command of any troopers nor is he allowed to leave the temple, small
mercies I guess.” He sighed deeply.

“We’re at war
Master, sacrifices has to be made, many of them personal…” The
redhead continued.

Sighing, Plo
squeezed the younger Jedi to his side. “Oh Obi-Wan.”

Cody and Wolffe
exchanged a barrage of hurried signals, each signal Cody made setting
a fire to Wolffe’s stomach.

Sweet first light,
if he ever encountered Jedi Shkma, Wolffe was breaking his fucking
jaw.

And Cody would most
likely help him, good.

H O L Y S H I T but the latest chapter in Safe Here literally made me cry. You know some victims of domestic abuse develop PTSD; specifically, hypervigilance. I mean come on, even I thought that Obi was pretty much in the clear in regards to physical retaliation when Knight Shakma slammed him in court. I just can’t get rid of the image of Obi-Wan never turning his back to anybody (always having his back to the wall), and just generally being super distrustful of everybody else.

“Plo?”

The kel dor looked up quickly at the call of his name, blinking
behind his goggles at Shaak. “Uh?”
“I’ve been calling
your name the last two minutes my friend.” The togruta knight said
worriedly, sitting down on the other side of the table the council
master had captured hours ago when he first started studying in the
Archives. “Are you alright?” She questioned.

Hesitating, Plo eventually sighed. “Personally, I am alright Shaak,
however Obi-Wan is not.” He gave her a grim smile.

Shaak frowned at that, giving a glance around and Plo felt he reach
out with the Force to give the Archive a swift check and he knew what
she was looking for or rather whom.

She wouldn’t find Obi-Wan in the Archive however.

Returning her eyes to him, Shaak frowned at him. “What’s wrong?
Has anything more happened to him?” She questioned worriedly. The
entire incident with Shkma had been over the temple in less then a
day, from the actions of the former knights to the words and
Obi-Wan’s bruised throat.

Jedi were frankly terrible gossips Plo had decided long ago.

Giving a small sigh, Plo shook his head. “No, nothing new but
Obi-Wan has developed… well I believe he has PTSD. He is currently
scared to leave the quarters and is exhibiting a hyper-vigilance I
usually associate with weathered combat veterans.” He gave into the
urge to wearily rub his face. “I can feel him constantly checking
on our bond, believing he’s being stealthy about it and I therefor
do not notice. And if there are others in our quarters he dares not
turn his back to them, inches away while facing them like a skittish
ash rabbit.” Plo settled his elbow on the table, head held up by
his hand. “I don’t know what to do Shaak.”

She opened her mouth then closed it just as quickly, biting her lips.
“I don’t know what to advice here my friend. I’ve never had a
situation like this myself.” She murmured.

“No, not a lot of masters have apparently.” Plo sighed heavily.
“So I’m feeling a bit at lost. I can’t force him to go to a
mind or soul healer, that’s not how it works, especially not with a
child whose been abused, but he can’t live in constant alertness
and fear. Its not healthy, nor is healthy to remain cooped up in our
quarters.” He said.

Rubbing a lekku thoughtfully, Shaak frowned. “Is it all people or
just adults?” She questioned.

Plo sat up at that. “Adults so far, I honestly haven’t had any
Initiates or young padawans visit.” He blinked. “Do you think the
situation will be different with someone his own age?” The idea
hadn’t occurred to Plo but it was certainly worth a shot.

“If you call his friends, people he trusted that has never hurt him
like Shkma did. Perhaps arrange a study group? Have them come over to
work on homework they have together or that could be the excuse at
least.” Shaak nodded. “Sometimes the emotional network has to
come from those who aren’t adults, to start the healing.” She
smiled a bit. “Once he at least starts trusting outside of his
friends and you, then you can talk to him about going to healers.”
Shaak continued.

Sitting back in his chair, rubbing his chin, Plo let his mind mull
over the idea before getting up. “Thank you Shaak, you have no idea
how long I’ve been here trying to… I need to go contact said
younglings masters or creche master to get this arranged. I know that
Obi-Wan is friends with young Bant Eerin and I believe Garen Muln.”
He bowed to her and hurried away.

Shaak waved after him, watching him go before blinking and
facepalming. “Kark, I was suppose to ask him about the regulation
forms for the D hanger. Plo, wait!” She jumped to her feet and
raced after him, robe flaring out behind her as she hurried after the
kel dor. “Plo!”
