Rare ship time! Obi Wan Kenobi and Rex. (I ship Obi Wan with many people…)

This is the moments before a kiss. Lonely Obi Wan and unhappily in love Rex (with Anakin in my head canon) seek comfort in each other in a moment alone on a desolate planet while waiting for rescue.

Reblogs are greatly appreciated to help spread my art and this fun rare ship ❤

“I lost you once, sir…” Rex’s jaw visibly works as he forces himself to push past his conditioning; the way things had always been, to at least say the man’s damned name. “Obi-Wan. And I can’t do it, not again. I’d die for you, I’d kill for you, but I can’t lose you. Please.”

His hand slides up Obi-Wan’s neck, holds the back of his head as Rex leans in closer. Obi-Wan continues to look at him vacantly, with eyes that aren’t his, and Rex can’t do it. He’s seen brothers, Jedi, civilians all killed right in front of him in the most horrific of ways, and yet he has always forced himself to watch, thinking that, somehow, by never taking his eyes away, their deaths mean something more then senseless losses of war.

But this is the first time that he knows he can’t do that.

He can’t look at those dead, yellow, hollow eyes. Not in Obi-Wan’s face. He can’t, and he knows it.

He doesn’t care if this makes him faulty. He closes his eyes, and presses his lips against Obi-Wan’s.

“Please, come back.”
