“Days 6 & 7: Aay’han and Partaylir – "Mourning and Joy at once” and Remember.

But just!! Sad thoughts about how it must be such an achievement for Boba to have become a powerful ruler?? Of what used to be Jabba’s? All to have to realize that his father would never know that all his training, and his teaching, had led his son to this??

But his father is there, just a plane away from his ad’ika, always proud.

I have many sad thoughts about Boba and Jango ;;-;; (also yes that’s his blue shirt from AoTC)

redspiderlilly:

More pain!! 😫

Well…idk if u noted it, but Padme never really grabs Vader’s saber…she exchanged it for Anakin’s cuz she always has it with her…like some kind of charm…that and the Japor Snippet…so, in the last panel, she’s giving him his lightsaber…

And Anakín just can’t believe she has forgiven him completely…

Wow I don’t normally ask for anything because I love to be surprised by what you write but if you could do another post of obi walking away from qui from qui point of view would be amazing.

The
braid is cut and Obi-Wan stands braidless in front a smiling Qui-Gon
as the little trail of hair falls into the redhead’s hand, a
circle of masters standing in the council chamber as they observe the
traditions of a knighting.

“Congratulation
Knight Kenobi, your path to knighthood has been completed. May walk
your path to mastery with the Force as your steady companion and the
light shining to all around you.” Qui-Gon murmured, standing
straighter than he had in a while because of his injury on Naboo.

Obi-Wan
bowed slowly to Qui-Gon and the council before dropping his eyes to
the braid in his hand, such
a little thing with so many memories and meaning in it.

This
was it, tradition dictated that Qui-Gon would cut the braid and then
the padawan usually gifted the braid to the master as a token of
gratefulness for the time they had spent together, guiding them on
the path to the rank of knighthood and teaching them all the things
necessary.

And
yet…

Moments
ticked by, Obi-Wan mutely staring at the braid in his hand without
looking up and smiling at Qui-Gon while holding it out.

The
darkness from outside at this height suddenly seemed looming and
ominous and Qui-Gon’s breath hitched as the wast gorge between him
and Obi-Wan once more was practically physical in nature.

Slowly
Obi-Wan lifted his eyes to Qui-Gon. “…Thank you for all your help
and effort Master Jinn, its been an honor.” He bowed once more
while closing his fist around the copper length of braided hair
before he turned and headed out the doors, the braid held clenched in
his hand.

There
were a few times the braid had not been gifted to the master in
question, usually that indicated…

Problems.

Issues
that the padawan could not overlook even in the moment of joy that
should be most prevalent on a day like this.

Obi-Wan
wasn’t even willing to wait on him to take the elevator down with
him, stepping into it and pushing buttons without turning but Qui-Gon
could spot a slight shaking in the others shoulders that told him
everything he needed to know as Obi-Wan kept his back to the council
chamber as the doors closed.

A
day that should be one of Obi-Wan’s best ones, the day of achieving
his knighthood… and Obi-Wan was crying even as he tried to hide it
from everyone.

It
was that more than the braid that was a blow to Qui-Gon’s heart.

He
had caused this, that night so alike this one in this very chamber as
he put his hands on Anakin’s shoulders and though he did not regret
claiming Anakin when the council would not let him join… this was
the fruits of his labors, this was what Qui-Gon had wrought.

The
door was shut.

“…Qui-Gon?”
There was a cautious murmur, a hand touching his shoulder and Qui-Gon
slowly turned his head to look at Shaak, swallowing heavily as he
stared at her holding out a handkerchief.

Confused,
Qui-Gon raised his hand to his face, finding it wet.

“…Oh…
thank you.” He whispered, his
throat closing up as he took
the delicate white
and embroidered cloth from the other master, wiping his face and
hiding his eyes for a bit.

And
yet all he could see on the inside of his lids was Obi-Wan’s back
and the shaking shoulders.

‘I
caused this, only I,
Force…’
