What happens next in Nothisfault? Does the Chancellor finally gets what he had coming? Is he unmasked?

Peering at the
large pink flower stuck in his face, Obi-Wan blinked to get rid of
the crossing of his eyes because that had made him dizzy and instead
he focused above the flower on Ahsoka instead with a bemused
expression appearing on his face. “What in Force name Ahsoka are
you doing?” He asked in amused confusion as she beamed down at him.

“I got you a
gift!” She said with some delight, wiggling in place.

“And you choose
to give it to me in the garden while I was meditating instead of
waiting until I came to our quarters?” Obi-Wan laughed softly,
amused by the teens enthusiasm.

She shrugged,
beaming back at him as he continued to laugh as Ahsoka had obviously
gotten what she wanted. “Well I figured you would want to see it
but honestly yeah, pretty much.” She flopped down on her ass in
front of him, settling her feet on the grass with her knees up and
her elbows on her knees while holding out the brown terracotta pot
towards him with the same smile on her face.

Smiling wryly,
Obi-Wan examined the plant with interest.

Its stem was almost
branch like in outlook, brown until the top where the flower and
leaves were, the leaves curving into oblong spheres and rather thick
with circular veins and a wax like outside. But it was the flower of
it that was the most beautiful.

It was a bout the
size of his hand, deep pink with yellow lines on the inside of each
with five petals that curved around almost in a circle but with
points like a star.

It almost reminded
him about…

His eyes widened.

It reminded him of
the Stewjon dream flower.

Staring at it for a
long moment, Obi-Wan finally focused on Ahsoka, catching her face of
anticipation. “Ahsoka, where did you get this?” He questioned
softly as he realized it was a dream flower.

She smiled shyly.
“I asked master Plo. He and Master Ti helped me get it… I got the
right one? Right?” She asked more nervously.

Taking the pot from
her carefully and sniffing the delicate smell, Obi-Wan gave her a
shaken smile and nodded. “You did, this is a Stewjon dream flower,”
He whispered, running a fingertip along one beautiful pink flower.
“They will become most fragrant at night where their smell sooth
the dreams of those around them. Its nectar is often used to induce
pleasant dreams when distilled but those who can get them just keep
them in their bedroom windows because smell alone will drive away
many a bad dreams.” He felt his throat clog up.

Ahsoka was beaming
at him once more.

Unable to resist,
Obi-Wan carefully set the plant aside and drew the other into a tight
hug. “I don’t know how in galaxy’s name you got your hand on
one of these but thank you Ahsoka.” He whispered into her
hair.

Strong arms came up
around him in return and Ahsoka made a delighted noise as she was
pulled into Obi-Wan’s lap.

It made Obi-Wan
realize how big she was getting, she was bound to be both taller and
bigger than him at this pace and he smiled at the thought, pressing
his face into the side of her monteral as they sat together.

While they sat
there, Obi-Wan caught sight of Anakin leaning against a tree, content
in watching the two of them with his own smile that grew when he
noticed Obi-Wan watching him. He gave a little wave that had Obi-Wan
smiling as he felt Ahsoka slowly draw on his back with her fingertips
as she enjoyed being cuddled, not asking to be released.

Who cared about the
news Mace had delivered to him, who cared that Obi-Wan would soon
have to meet in court because they were ready to confront Palpatine?

When he had both
Ahsoka and Anakin so close, looking over him along with their
troopers and the rest of the temple when they could, how could
Obi-Wan feel anything other than hopeful.

hi ! First of all, I hope you have fun during your break !! Second, I just discovered your fics and I love the «not his fault» one. I’d love to know what’ll happen next. Will the investigation against the Chancellor reveal anything else ? Will someone discover something about the clone’s chip ? Will Obi-Wan stay happily hidden from the public eye or will something force him to become the Negociator and a public figure once again ? thank you.

Staring at the
little doll in his hand with shock, Obi-Wan slowly moved his eyes up
to stare at Anakin with wide eyes. “Anakin… why do you have a
doll of me? Where did you get a doll of me?” He choked out.

Smiling sheepishly,
not having expected this turn when he had invited his old master for
a conversation, Anakin stood from his bed and moved over to the
other, taking the doll from his hands. “I actually got it from
Biscuit Baron, they sell quite a few kids meal with Jedi and trooper
toys in them and… well I asked if I could have one of you.” He
explained while glancing at the spot on the shelf where doll Obi-Wan
usually stood beside a few of his ships.

Blinking heavily,
Obi-Wan stared at the toy with his armor style from the first year
with the long hair for a moment before peering up at Anakin. “Why?”
He asked simply.

Hesitating a bit,
Anakin carefully pulled Obi-Wan to the bed to sit down again before
sighing heavily. “When I picked it up I wanted to make sure it was…
respectful. Later it became a source of comfort when you were far
away on missions,” Anakin said quietly before smiling at him. “I
could pick up a Skywalker toy for you? Along with Rex and Cody. They
actually have them but you can’t remove the helmets I’ve heard.”
He shrugged.

Taking the toy from
the blond, Obi-Wan rolled the mirror image of him from two years ago
in his hands.

It wasn’t
actually bad quality.

The fabric was
nice, the paint job good and they had even had a proper molding so
there was no extra plastic fluff or bits around.

“…I think I’d
like that, if its not a bother to pick them up for me?” He finally
settled on, slowly settling against his former padawans side with a
deep breath.

Giving a one armed
hug, Anakin smiled warmly. “Nope, not at all. Now, how about you
answer some questions for me?” He raised a brow, never losing his
smile even as he took a fortifying mental breath. “How are you
doing since the revelation about the Chancellor?” He said.

Humming a bit,
Obi-Wan hands tensed on the doll. “If I’m honest… not good.
Having issues with people touching me again, even friendly and known
people.” Obi-Wan sighed.

Pressing his lips
to the others temple, Anakin made a low understanding noise even as
he wished he could throw the Chancellor against the wall.

As it was he could
not be involved in the investigation into the man and the reasoning
for the leak but he knew it was moving forward and he knew it was
grave.

He had seen the
look on Windu, Vos and Unduli’s faces and he knew that those three
were the main investigators into the chancellor.

He wasn’t sure
what that meant but he knew it couldn’t be good news regardless
though maybe they had uncovered evidence of some kind.

Opting for a change
of subject, he stroked Obi-Wan’s hair a bit. “How about Rex and
Cody, how is things going on that front?”

To his surprise and
delight, Obi-Wan blushed. “Wonderful. They’re so patient with me.
They never get upset when I react without thought and I just…
Anakin I don’t know what I did to deserve them but they’ve been
utterly wonderful to me.” He smiled at the blond, the chancellor’s
betrayal fading from his mind clearly.

“Good. You
deserve to be treated well Obi-Wan.” Anakin said firmly, the two
exchanging fond looks even as Obi-Wan rolled his eyes to cover his
timidity over this new relationship as he peered at the window of
Anakin’s bedroom.

A companionable
silence sunk in around them until Obi-Wan pulled his feet up into the
bed and shifted back against the headboard and after a few moments,
Anakin followed, the two cuddling up together against the headboard,
sharing affection.

Obi-Wan had become
like that after his torment, requiring more physical assurance from
those he honestly trusted like Anakin and Anakin was more than happy
to provide it when he could.

And so they
remained, Obi-Wan’s head tucked up on Anakin’s black clothed
chest with sun peeking in through the blinds and the sound of the
blonds heartbeat in Obi-Wan’s ears.

It’s been a while since there’s been anything of NotHisFault. If you’re up to it, could we see more of Obi-Wan’s recovery? Or his developing relationship with Cody and Rex? Maybe a little of the Council handling the revelations about Palpatine?

Watching the
Rotunda with weary eyes, Mace finally sighed and looked to the rest
of the council sans Obi-Wan with troubled eyes. “What are we to do?
With this evidence in our hands… the chancellor has sat for longer
than he should this is true enough and he has consolidated much power
to the office, but this? This kind of betrayal I would not have
expected.”

The empty seat in
the room seemed to catch everyone’s attention until Shaak leaned
forward to lean her elbows on her knees, watching them with her holo
blue eyes and a small frown on her face. “We have evidence, that
much is undisputable that he was the reason for the leak. But we need
to investigate just how deep this betrayal goes, if he’s willing to
maim one of the biggest figures of the war to this degree… we may
not like it but the Negotiator has been a big figure in the clone
wars, a reason for morale. For a leader of the Republic to destroy
that morale, to maim the man in question… it brings me to question
what else Sheev Palpatine may have done.” She sat back.

“I agree.” Depa
voiced, her lips bloodless with the pressure she was putting on them.
“I saw the evidence myself and we have all seen the effect this has
had on Obi-Wan. I have much concern about where the loyalty of our
chancellor’s truly lays.” She finished with.

There was a loud
sigh, Kit leaning forward to drop his face in his hands. “This is
all bringing us nowhere. I say we officially vote whether we charge
the Chancellor now with the evidence we do have or if we instigate a
deeper investigation to discover if there are more betrayals from
him.” He finally peered up from his hands, frowning. “There’s a
question here of time. And of consequences. But we must be ready, if
not for ourselves then for the Republic and our Order.” He added
gravely, in contrast of his usual smile and jokes at the seriousness.

“…We’re all
so karked.” Evan finally groaned loudly from his seat.

No one argued with
him.

Smiling faintly to
himself, Obi-Wan hummed as Rex absently played with his hair, the
blond twirling strands around his fingers and braiding them with a
few fingers into short little braids that quickly fell apart with
nothing to hold them.

Not that Obi-Wan
really had any hair ties or the likes since he had never been in the
habit of growing his hair long but maybe Anakin had?

With his long curls
that wouldn’t really surprise Obi-Wan since having them in his eyes
while working couldn’t be a good idea when Anakin was elbow deep in
machinery.

Around them clones
were rushing too and from as they pleased, running around the rec
room that Rex and Obi-Wan had sought refugee in as Obi-Wan wanted to
be away from the temple with where people could feel him should his
shields lower even a tiny bit.

It was cause for a
bit of concern but Rex and Cody had understood and it had also
pleased them that Obi-Wan trusted the vode to the degree he was
currently proving with his relaxed body against Rex side on the love
seat with the captain and the drowsy sate of relaxation he was
showing.

Cody carefully
tucked a blanket around the Jedi and pressed a quick kiss to his
cheek before handing Rex a cup of soup, the Commander busy working
still as he headed over to catch Longshot and Gear.

Obi-Wan watched him
go, nuzzling into the black of Rex shoulder before closing his eyes
fully, letting the noises of the room wash over him even as he felt
Anakin enter the room, knowing the blond wouldn’t demand he go
anywhere once he saw how relaxed Obi-Wan was and indeed he heard
Anakin pad over to greet Fives after a minute, clearly content to let
Obi-Wan be even if he had come searching for the redhead.

With a quiet little
mumble, Obi-Wan fell asleep against his boyfriends shoulder, content
and relaxed for the first time in a long time in a crowded room.

In your Zygerria AU, can we see a flashback of Rex taking care of Obi-Wan when they’re on Kadavo?

Rubbing his hand gently up and down Obi-Wan’s back as the man
slept, Rex smiled faintly to himself as the Jedi remained relaxed
beneath his hand with his head in the trooper’s lap. In the
kitchen, Cody was quietly whipping up lunch for all three of them as
they allowed the redhead to nap.

To be honest Obi-Wan didn’t frankly need it but it warmed both
trooper’s heart to see him like this instead of flinching or pained
or…

Rex mind stuttered back to Zygerria, to finding Obi-Wan again as the
slavers were trying to save their own bacon and General Skywalker and
Plo were attacking with their men.

()()()

Skidding around the corner, Rex brought up the curtain pole only to
drop it as he caught sight of the limping man further down the hall.
“General!” He ran for the man as Obi-Wan looked up at the
familiar voice.

Stars, Rex could feel himself pale as he took in the other mans
pallid, exposed skin along with the wet blood currently coating the
inside of his thighs that the outfit didn’t hide. “General…”
Rex got out, taking in the bruises and bites and cuts covering the
freckled frame and wishing he could take the curtain pole to bash in
the one who’d put his hands on Obi-Wan.

“Captain.” The Jedi forced a smile onto his face. “Just the man
I was hoping to see.” He laughed shakily.

Reaching out slowly, he rested his hand on Obi-Wan’s tense
shoulder. “General, your thighs…” He stilled on the words, not
sure how to.

Glancing down, Obi-Wan swallowed heavily and nodded. “Yes, it seems
our friends here hasn’t been all that kind to me… Rex I would
appreciate if we can spare a few moments to… clean me up?” He
requested.

Rex glanced about then nodded towards a half open room. “We can
find some water in there I would imagine.” He whispered shakily.

Dropping the pole and offering his arm to the Jedi for support, Rex
started an internal swearing campaign to keep calm.

Support before vengeance, because Obi-Wan needed him.

Shaking the image from his head, Rex rested his hand on the Jedi’s
head, feeling the soft strands poke through his fingers.

He’d never forget that though, ripping a piece of fabric from his
own clothes and wetting it with water from a jug, cleaning Obi-Wan’s
pale thighs for blood and something pink that he never wanted to
think too hard on.

The way Obi-Wan’s hands had clenched onto his shoulders as he
cleaned him with care, the swollen state of the wrists, the tiny
trembles going through his frame.

He took a deep breath as Obi-Wan shifted, the Jedi more then likely
reacting to Rex negative emotions.

“Vod?” He looked up at the voice, smiling meekly at Cody’s
questioning eyes.

“Flashback. Kadavo.” Rex explained quietly back only to receive
empathetic eyes in return and a slow nod.

“Bic Kelir cuyir alright kar’taylir darasuum.” The commander
murmured.

‘It will be alright eventually yes… and once the Chancellor is
disposed for what he did to Obi-Wan, we can continue working on his
recovery.’ Rex went back to the gentle stroking of hair as Cody
continued cooking.

Rex and Cody would do anything in their powers to help Obi-Wan
recover, as his friends or his lovers, they’d be happy with either
as long as it kept them in the Jedi’s life.

I just read nothisfault and I love it! May I humbly request a continuation?

Head in a lap and feet in another, Obi-Wan couldn’t remember the
last time he felt this relaxed or this safe, especially in the light
of Anakin’s revelation.

Rex fingers were gently tugging at his hair, running through it with
a steady pressure and Cody was teasing the skin of his ankle with his
fingertips with one hand and holding his calve with the other. It was
pleasant enough that he had his eyes closed.

“Is he asleep?”

“Mmmn almost, he’s certainly exhausted enough for it.

The voices made him flicker his eyes open but instantly close it
again as he breathed out deeply.

“Like I said, almost.” Rex repeated, smiling down at Obi-Wan with
the copper strands curled around his fingers.

Snorting quietly, Cody rested his caressing hand on the ankle
instead. “Well, he deserves to relax, he looks better.”

“You mean he doesn’t look like a pale waif like he did earlier.”
Rex countered dryly, still wondering what in stars names his general
had told Obi-Wan to provoke that look but having the gnawing
suspicion that they wouldn’t be told.

Raising his brow, Cody shrugged. “I would have put it more
diplomatically but…yes. Good food and company tends to set things
at ease though.”

In response to that, Obi-Wan gave a low hum and nuzzled his beardless
cheek down into the fabric of Rex’s blacks as if in agreement.

Throwing a smug grin at his brother, Cody carefully shifted the legs
out of his lap and moved to stand, stretching slowly. “But lets get
him tucked up into bed eh? Its late, he’s as good as asleep and
tomorrow is a new day.”

Rex nodded and shifted a bit, allow Cody to shift his arms beneath
the Jedi to pick him up, the Commander lifting the man with a bit of
difficulties but not too much before getting him of to the bedroom
and tucking the redhead in.

Both hesitated in undressing him, after what had happened to Obi-Wan,
the last they wanted to do was to invade his privacy.

Obi-Wan caught Cody’s wrist however, eyes open to tiny slits with
only the light of the livingroom shining in on them. “…Stay.”
He mumbled while giving a little tug. “Stay both.”

“Its a narrow fit Obi-Wan.” Rex murmured.

“Know…stay.”

After giving each other a long look the two clones joined Obi-Wan,
all three pressed tightly together on the narrow bed of the Jedi and
shifting around to get comfortable.

It ended up with legs and arms tucked in and around and over each
other.

But it wasn’t uncomfortable.

Didn’t feel uncomfortable even if it should.

Cody drew the blanket up around them and then settled in, Obi-Wan
tucked between them.

It was much to easy to fall asleep just like this and Obi-Wan gave a
quiet sigh between them, his legs tangled with Cody’s and Rex knees
resting in the back of his and arms resting around him.

This was even better then the hands rubbing his hair.

He got to be safe for one night and pretend nothing was wrong.
