My contribution for Mace Windu Appreciation Week! Because gentle-force-lift-Jedi definitely needs some more appreciation! I thought it would be a fun idea for Mace to share his passion for theater with his troops during the rare down-times they get. It’s one of the few times they see their general light up with open joy and everyone has a good time. Mace usually reads the classics but he is also surprisingly open to reading the latest, hottest, fanfic written on trooper intranet.
The AU idea was a general “what if Jango managed to survive?” thing, but I thought it’d be fun to chuck in him surviving but needing cybernetics after only NEARLY losing his melon to Mace??
A major thing that always hurts to remember about Canon is that Boba was never able to complete his Verd’goten (the Mandalorian trials that declare you an adult AND an official Mando) before his Buir was killed. So, in this happier universe, he gets to!! Jango’s taken his boy to Concord Dawn (his homeplanet) to go through the trials, his Buir at his back to watch over him.
