In the possessive Alpha!qui-Gon omega!Obi-Wan universe, unexpected pregnancy pls.

“…I’m so
nauseous.” Obi-Wan whispered, curling closer to Anakin as the
padawan petted his head with a worried frown on his face. “Do you
think Qui-Gon has locked in on the beacon yet?” He questioned
quietly.

“I don’t know
Obi-Wan. I wish I did but I just don’t.” The young alpha offered
in return while stroking the greasy copper hair tenderly, worried
about his brother padawan.

Obi-Wan sniffled a
bit and wrapped his arms tightly around his midsection as he stared
at the blocked cave entrance.

Anakin had managed
to shift one of the larger boulders to block the entrance which left
them with only the glow rods for light but at least it blocked out
the snow and wind for the most part and kept them safe from the
elements.

It didn’t make
Obi-Wan feel any better though as he had kept throwing up the entire
time until only bile escaped him. Anakin had loosened some of the
dirt from the cave walls to cover the stink and fluid before pulling
Obi-Wan further back into the cave and coaxed him into using a tiny
bit of snow to melt and clean out his mouth.

After that he had
wrapped his own robe around the omega and settled his head on
Anakin’s lap. Obi-Wan had not protested once and that had made
Anakin even more worried since Obi-Wan generally preferred to have
Qui-Gon take care of him if he allowed it at all.

It was one thing
to be taken care of by his mate, a totally different thing to be
taken care of by another alpha.

“Its going to be
okay Obi-Wan, Qui-Gon is going to find us, you know how he gets when
you’re in danger.” He soothed the other.

Obi-Wan just gave
a low whine and closed his eyes. “I don’t even understand why I’m
so…”

“Well it started
about a day before we landed on planet.” Anakin continued petting,
hoping he was providing the other some comfort. “Was it something
in the rations that you ate?”

“I’d know if
it was food poisoning.” Obi-Wan swallowed thickly.

“Can you try
to…flush it?” Anakin frowned.

“…If I could
meditate but I don’t think I can focus, its just so cold and
coupled with the nausea…”

‘Shit, he’s
really not his best right now.’ Normally Obi-Wan could meditate
just about everywhere and in any state.

“Okay, lets wait
for Qui-Gon then. He’ll find us, I know he will.”

“Lets hope we’re
not popsicle by then.” Obi-Wan whispered.

His hands were
starting to turn blue by the time he heard the shuttle and Anakin
almost groaned in relief. Regardless who it was, it meant warmth.

“Obi-Wan.” He
whispered, squeezing the others shoulder to wake the cold omega who
lifted his head up and then sat up slowly, reaching for his
lightsaber and nodding to the blond. “I hear it.”

Taking just a few
seconds to gather his mind, Obi-Wan reached out to check who it was
before closing his eyes in relief. “Its Qui-Gon.” He placed his
lightsaber on his belt and got up slowly.

“Oh thank the
Force.” Anakin pushed to his feet too and moved to the boulder to
remove it so they could get out and to the shuttle.

They were meet by
Qui-Gon at the ramp who quickly ran his large hands over both of
them, probing both with the Force and his eyes for damages.

“I’m fine.”
Anakin offered quickly, stepping back. “Obi-Wan’s been throwing
up since we ran from the smugglers though.”

That got the
Alpha’s attention on his mate and his mate alone as he wrapped the
other up in his arms and cupped his chin. “Love?”

“I must have
caught a stomach bug.” Obi-Wan tucked close into Qui-Gon, soaking
in the comfort of his scent and arms. “I think. I don’t know.”

Qui-Gon gave a
discontented growl and ducked his head down into the others neck,
sniffing. Then he stiffened, hand going to Obi-Wan’s hair to pull
his head back and nuzzling more into his neck, taking several deep
breaths.

“Qui-Gon?”
Obi-Wan whispered, comforted by the tight hold the other had on him.

The other pulled
back slowly, a smile slowly stretching his face. “…You’re
pregnant. You’re not sick, you’re pregnant Obi-Wan.” He
whispered.

The two stared at
each other before Qui-Gon let out a loud bark of a laugh and lifted
Obi-Wan clean of his feet, swinging him around. “You’re
pregnant!”

Stepping back
hurriedly so not to be in the way, Anakin felt a tenseness leave his
shoulders as he watched the two with a small grin as Obi-Wan gave a
yelp of surprise and happiness. “What?! Qui-Gon put me down!”

“Guess that
means I’m piloting us to safety.” Anakin mused in amusement as he
took a few more steps back as Qui-Gon put Obi-Wan down only to bring
him into a deep kiss.

“Qui-Gon!”
Obi-Wan laughed and pushed the other away, smiling up at him. “How
can you be sure?”

“Well I’m not
but you smell like it.” Qui-Gon grinned down at him, stroking the
others now kiss flushed cheeks. “We can check at home of course
but…the smell.” He leaned back in and settled his large nose in
the others neck, taking several deep breaths. “You smell so good.”
He sighed happily.

“Guess this
means you’re trilled if there’s a baby huh?” Obi-Wan settled
into him, smiling softly.

“More then
trilled. Force.” Qui-Gon held him tight, ran his hand gently over
the others flat stomach. “I’m no young alpha Obi-Wan. I just…”
He settled again.

“…Well
then…guess this limits our missions for the future huh?” Obi-Wan
was almost purring at the attention his mate was pouring over him.

“Heh, for this,
I’d be temple bound if needed.” Qui-Gon nosed slowly into the
soft neck. “My Obi.”

“My Qui.”

“…Was it

“The Healer said

shrugged.

“I know my own

was still tapping his arm.

“You tend to

jerked back at the glare thrown at him. “Not that you’d put the
babies in risk, heavens no, I wasn’t implying that.” He eeped.

Obi-Wan grunted
and focused back on the bridge.

Rex covered his

so he was standing in front of his mate, looking down at him “Look,
I know you want to continue as normal but Obi-Wan, you’re seven
months on, you can’t walk around in those boots with your swollen
ankles. Force sake.” He breathed out.

Obi-Wan looked
ready to argue back when Anakin cupped his face, stroking gently.
“Obi-Wan please.” He softened his tone, smiling down at the
other. “I know you don’t like that you’ve slowed down so much
and I know you want to do more. But for now please? If not for me
then for them.” Anakin leaned in, uncaring of the troopers as he
pressed his forehead against the others. “Please.”

“…Oh fine.”
Obi-Wan sighed, pressing back. “But I get those boots back once the
babies are out, you hear me? Those are my favorite boots.”

“I know. I gave
you them.” Anakin grinned and looked like he wanted to kiss the
other before he remembered where they were and pulled back, clearing
his throat. “So, I got your word?”

“Yes Anakin.”
The older of the two rolled his eyes then sighed. “But no more
involving Ahsoka, I can hardly shove her off me you know.”

“Fine, fine.”
The other sighed before shrugging. “I’ll just have to be more
inventive I guess.” He grinned.

“Ugh, only you
Anakin.” But now Obi-Wan sounded amused.

“Sirs? We’ve
reached Tyan.” One of the bridge personal announced and Obi-Wan
nodded.

“Thank you

“Yes yes, lets
hope they don’t try shooting the moment we step off.”

“I’m pregnant,
they’re not going to shoot us.”

“You said that
the two last times too.”

“No I mean if
they shoot us here, they think they’re going to go to their version
of hell and whoever shoots at me will be an outcast of their society
for trying to shoot someone pregnant. A life giver.” Obi-Wan rolled
his eyes. “Honestly Anakin, don’t you read our mission logs?”

“…You tend to
update me with the most important parts.”

“Oh Anakin.”

Do they figure out what happened to cause an early birth? How does everyone react? If they find the original batch of polish and realize it’s the only bottle tainted, do they realize how unlikely that is? I’m kind of amazed Palpatine would want to hurt the baby, he might want control, oh God’s don’t let him near the baby!!! When does Padme get there? So Bail and Breha get to be godparents? THANK YOU WANT MORE NOW PLEASE!!!!

Gliding in through the door, Padme breathed out in relief when she
saw Obi-Wan curled up in a rather large bed for a hospital bed and
Anakin by an incubator, their omega looking pale and drowsy but
content.

“Padme!” Anakin beamed but didn’t move, using his mech hand to
gesture. “He has his hand wrapped around my thumb.”

Well that explained why he was by the incubator a bit more then with
their tired mate who was trying to sit up.

“Oh no you don’t.” She moved to the bed and sat on the bedside,
cupping the others cheek and stroking slowly. “You did so good, our
good omega.” She beamed. “You are so good.” She leaned in and
pressed soft kisses all over Obi-Wan’s face as he snorted at her.

But he was sporting a pleased, shy smile.

“How do you feel?” She questioned softly.

“Tired. Sore…Breha says I’m going to be like this for a few
days still and I should keep to bed rest.” Obi-Wan shuffled then
wrinkled his nose. “I feel gross though, I want a shower.”

“We’ll get you that tomorrow.” Padme promised, stroking his
cheek. She was sure they got find a shower chair and help him clean.

“Wanna take a look at the kit? I’ll be fine here.” Obi-Wan
grinned tiredly.

Torn between the desire to see their baby and staying by her mate,
Padme pressed another kiss to his forehead before heading over to the
incubator. “Oh…he’s so little.” She whispered, staring at
Jinn’s little hand holding onto Anakin’s thumb, his husbands hand
in one of the gloves that allowed for touch. “He has copper hair!”
She beamed, sliding her hand into the other glove to touch his face
with her fingertips, using the softest of touches as he twitched
beneath their touch and moved ever so slightly.

“His eyes are blue too but the medic said that could change, that
all babies come out with blue eyes at first.” Anakin hummed out
before cooing when Jinn let go of his thumb. “Aww I was enjoying
that…”

“Go cuddle our mate.” Padme chuckled and Anakin grinned and
instantly moved to Obi-Wan’s side, crawling in and nuzzling him
slowly and gently.

Padme spent a few more moments, wishing she could hold Jinn but
knowing the incubator was there for a reason. ‘A month…perhaps
less…we can get to hold him soon…’ She pulled back with great
reluctance and moved to the bed too, crawling in on the other side of
Obi-Wan with Anakin shifting the blankets around until they had a
makeshift nest.

Obi-Wan made a sleepy half mewl before settling as his hair was
petted and he was being held. “You’re going to make me fall
asleep.”

“You need to sleep.” Anakin hummed against his temple, smiling.

Padme made an agreeing hum on the other side, stroking his hair
tenderly until Obi-Wan’s breathing started to even out and his eyes
closed.

Once sure Obi-Wan was fully asleep, Padme squeezed Anakin’s wrist
to get his attention. “Anakin… he didn’t go into labor
naturally.” She whispered, keeping her voice low for their omegas
sake.

“Huh? Well it was really early, was it something he was exposed
to?” Anakin blinked, lifting his head a bit to peer at her.

“…I got suspicious, I had Sabe and Rabe run some tests for us
because the only thing different in Obi-Wan’s diet was his
vitamins…Anakin, the prenatal vitamins Palpatine gave to you were
tainted. All of them. Every single bottle had the means to ergot
poison him. Something that could have been naturally waved off as
something that just happens via food but it was every bottle he had
given us.” She bit her lips as Anakin stared at her, arms tight
around Obi-Wan’s waist.

“But…that’s…” Anakin looked so lost.

“Anakin, he tried to hurt our baby.” She tensed up a bit when
that got a low growl out of Anakin.

“But why?” Anakin questioned in desperation.

Sheev Palpatine was Anakin’s friend, had been so for years as far
as Padme understood and to hear that the man was potentially out to
harm his mate and baby…that was not sitting well. ‘Though, he
started when Anakin was a young age…grooming behavior…’ Padme’s
suspicious side piped in.

And as a Jedi the Chancellor had the power to demand any Jedi at any
time…even a young padawan without the Order being able to deny the
request outright.

She kept those thought to herself and instead squeezed his wrist. “I
don’t know Anakin, but we need to be careful with this. We need to
tell the Order since I’m not sure the Judaical departments will be
neutral in their investigations. Jedi will.”

He stared at her before nodding and pressing his lips back to
Obi-Wan’s temple, taking comfort in the hold. “…He’s not
getting near Jinn or Obi-Wan.” He whispered, voice tight. “I’ll
render his flesh from his bones before that.”

Padme knew she should say something, Anakin was a Jedi and Obi-Wan
would not like the current mood.

But their mate and babe was potentially in danger…what other
response was to be expected?

Do they figure out what happened to cause an early birth? How does everyone react? If they find the original batch of polish and realize it’s the only bottle tainted, do they realize how unlikely that is? Gah!! I knew as soon as you said Palpatine have him the meds that they were bad!! You can’t just leave TwoAlphas like that!! I can’t handle not knowing what’s going on with the pregnacy now that there are bad meds involved for very long!! I NEEDS MORE INFORMATION!!

The first twinges start up long before
they even reach air and Obi-Wan rubs his hand over his stomach
cautiously with a small frown. There’s an ache swelling along his
spine and a feeling of wrong, just outright wrong, spreading through
his body that he tries to write off as just normal pregnancy issues.

And then it feels like someones punched
the air from his lungs as a contraction hits.

‘No, no, no its to early, its to
early!’ Obi-Wan curled over a bit, eyes wide as wetness coated his
leggings and ran down his legs to pool at his feet.

“General?” Cody’s cautious voice
not far from him. “Are you alr-” The trooper took a sharp breath
as he noticed the puddle. “Oh kark. Nutcase get us back DOWN.
Hardwire comm the Alderaan medical center! The General is going into
labor!”

“Cody…” Obi-Wan gritted out.
“Call Coruscant.”

()()()

Anakin paused mid saber lesson and
frowned a bit, looking around in confusion even as the younglings
watched him in equal confusion.

“Master Skywalker?” One of them
called out.

“Hmm? Oh, sorry, now you just hold
your saber like thi-” He stopped again before going pale as a
sheet. “Class dismissed!” He snapped, long legs suddenly twirling
him towards the doors as he sprinted out of the salle, almost
crashing into Mace Windu.

The Korun grabbed him by the shoulders
while both stared at each other.

“…They just commed. They were about
to leave Alderaan when his water broke. They managed to land and
Queen Breha had a medical team waiting for them the moment they did.”
He offered to the blond tightly.

“I need t-”

“You won’t reach it in time.
Regardless what happens, you won’t reach him in time for…whatever
happens.” Mace face was tight, jaw tense.

“…Its to fucking early.” Anakin
hissed.

“Twenty five to twenty six
weeks…medical staff on wait…the chances are good.” Mace tried
to assure, to not feed more fear into the knight in front of him.

“…I need to be there whatever
happens.”

“…Go.” Mace let go and watched
Skywalker run, watching several shatterpoints break as he did yet
still several remained, ready to either unfold or burst. “…May
the Force be with us all.”

Anakin threw himself into his
Interceptor, R2 already in and firing up several engines. He almost
took off before he was granted permission and shot of as fast as he
could, the Force screaming in his ears.

Blood was pounding in his ears as he
headed out of Coruscants orbit, his heart in his throat even as R2
put Padme through when she commed.

“Anakin?” Her voice sounded small,
static and almost scared.

“I’m heading towards Alderaan.”
He offered.

“Good, I’m trying to arrange
transport but…I don’t think I’ll be able to leave the Senate
Anakin.”

“I’ll send any news when…when I
get there.”

“…Anakin, be careful, try to be
calm. Obi-Wan is going to need you calm.” Came her voice again.

“IF he survives.”

“ANAKIN!” She snapped and he took a
sharp breath.

“Sorry…sorry I just…this is…my
dreams…”

“Are just dreams. First time parent
jitters…Anakin be CALM. Obi-Wan needs you to be calm.” She was
practically pleading over the comms and Anakin took a sharp breath as
R2 beeped at him in binary.

“…Okay. Okay calm, I can be
calm…Padme…what do we do if the baby dies?” There was a long
silence in the wake of Anakin’s lost voice.

“We concentrate on Obi-Wan and hold
him through the pain. That’s what we do Anakin.” She answered in
a tired sounding voice.

“…Okay.”

()()()

He touched down on Alderaan and didn’t
even wait for R2 to follow, jumping out the moment the canopy opened
and rushing past the guard sent to greet him. His focus was on the
weak and still signature of Obi-Wan, fear dogging his every step as
he rushed through the spaceport closest to the medical center that
had Obi-Wan.

Anakin went a bit tunnel vision, until
his name was cried out by a familiar voice.

“General Skywalker!”

He froze to a stop and turned down a
hall of the medical center to where the troopers who had escorted
Obi-Wan were sitting.

Well most, Cody was standing.

All had their helmets off and all of
their faces were tinged with worry.

“You’re here sir.”

“Yes, any news?”

“None sir, we’ve…we’re not
immediate family or mates. We had to stay here.” Cody gestured
around the hall.

Anakin might have answered that the
Jedi considered the vods close companions, friends, some family if
another voice hadn’t chosen that moment to call out for him.

“Knight Skywalker?”

He turned quickly and then added a
hurried bow. “Queen Breha. I-”

“He’s alright, they just cleaned
him up and rolled him to his room. You can go see him now if you
want.” She was smiling.

Anakin felt like he had taken a direct
hit to the stomach, breathless and aching. “He…”

“The birth was early so we had to op
for a cesarean section as Obi-Wan’s body was not prepared for
actual birth but he’s currently resting quite comfortably.” She
continued.

Anakin’s legs felt like they were
turning to jelly and they wanted to fold beneath him. “The baby?”
He croaked out.

“In the intensive bubble. Its…early
but your little one has a good chance, especially with the medical
attention and the intensive bubble. Congratulation Knight Skywalker.”
She was smiling before gesturing to the room she had come from. “He’s
in there. Both of them are.”

Forcing himself to walk forward, Anakin
gave her a stunned look before passing by the Queen and into the
room.

Obi-Wan was tucked up in a bed, his
face flushed and sweaty but he was blissfully breathing with his
vitals looking strong as a droid fussed around him. And past Obi-Wan…

Anakin felt as if he was trembling as
he moved around the bed to the incubator.

Tiny, so very tiny and pink, swaddled
in soft purple was his baby, hooked to wires and tubes.

Anakin stared before slipping a hand
into one of the gloves of the incubator and touching a tiny flat
nose. “Oh…” He shuddered at the feel.

“I decided on Jinn.” A rough voice
whispered behind him and Anakin turned a tear streaked face towards
Obi-Wan who was watching him through tiny silvers of opened eyes.
“Thought it fit him…”

“Obi-Wan.” Anakin slid his hand out
and moved to the bed, sitting on the bedside and leaning down,
pressing his forehead to his omegas while cupping one flushed bearded
cheek. “You wonderful miracle of nature. You did so GOOD. You hear
me? You did so good.” He was crying and laughing at the same time,
relief shaking him to the core.

Obi-Wan gave a little laugh. “Mmmn I
know…need to sleep a bit more. I’m very sore.”

“You do that love.” Anakin peppered
his face with little kisses. “Padme will be here when you wake too.
But you rest now.” He stroked the others cheek.

Obi-Wan gave a low noise of contentment
before falling back into his drug assisted sleep.

Anakin looked back to the incubator,
still shaking and still laughing. “Welcome to the world Jinn
Kenobi.”

“Anakin?” Her voice sounded small,
static and almost scared.

“I’m heading towards Alderaan.”
He offered.

“Good, I’m trying to arrange
transport but…I don’t think I’ll be able to leave the Senate
Anakin.”

“I’ll send any news when…when I
get there.”

“…Anakin, be careful, try to be
calm. Obi-Wan is going to need you calm.” Came her voice again.

“IF he survives.”

“ANAKIN!” She snapped and he took a
sharp breath.

“Sorry…sorry I just…this is…my
dreams…”

“Are just dreams. First time parent
jitters…Anakin be CALM. Obi-Wan needs you to be calm.” She was
practically pleading over the comms and Anakin took a sharp breath as
R2 beeped at him in binary.

“…Okay. Okay calm, I can be
calm…Padme…what do we do if the baby dies?” There was a long
silence in the wake of Anakin’s lost voice.

“We concentrate on Obi-Wan and hold
him through the pain. That’s what we do Anakin.” She answered in
a tired sounding voice.

“…Okay.”

()()()

He touched down on Alderaan and didn’t
even wait for R2 to follow, jumping out the moment the canopy opened
and rushing past the guard sent to greet him. His focus was on the
weak and still signature of Obi-Wan, fear dogging his every step as
he rushed through the spaceport closest to the medical center that
had Obi-Wan.

Anakin went a bit tunnel vision, until
his name was cried out by a familiar voice.

“General Skywalker!”

He froze to a stop and turned down a
hall of the medical center to where the troopers who had escorted
Obi-Wan were sitting.

Well most, Cody was standing.

All had their helmets off and all of
their faces were tinged with worry.

“You’re here sir.”

“Yes, any news?”

“None sir, we’ve…we’re not
immediate family or mates. We had to stay here.” Cody gestured
around the hall.

Anakin might have answered that the
Jedi considered the vods close companions, friends, some family if
another voice hadn’t chosen that moment to call out for him.

“Knight Skywalker?”

He turned quickly and then added a
hurried bow. “Queen Breha. I-”

“He’s alright, they just cleaned
him up and rolled him to his room. You can go see him now if you
want.” She was smiling.

Anakin felt like he had taken a direct
hit to the stomach, breathless and aching. “He…”

“The birth was early so we had to op
for a cesarean section as Obi-Wan’s body was not prepared for
actual birth but he’s currently resting quite comfortably.” She
continued.

Anakin’s legs felt like they were
turning to jelly and they wanted to fold beneath him. “The baby?”
He croaked out.

“In the intensive bubble. Its…early
but your little one has a good chance, especially with the medical
attention and the intensive bubble. Congratulation Knight Skywalker.”
She was smiling before gesturing to the room she had come from. “He’s
in there. Both of them are.”

Forcing himself to walk forward, Anakin
gave her a stunned look before passing by the Queen and into the
room.

Obi-Wan was tucked up in a bed, his
face flushed and sweaty but he was blissfully breathing with his
vitals looking strong as a droid fussed around him. And past Obi-Wan…

Anakin felt as if he was trembling as
he moved around the bed to the incubator.

Tiny, so very tiny and pink, swaddled
in soft purple was his baby, hooked to wires and tubes.

Anakin stared before slipping a hand
into one of the gloves of the incubator and touching a tiny flat
nose. “Oh…” He shuddered at the feel.

“I decided on Jinn.” A rough voice
whispered behind him and Anakin turned a tear streaked face towards
Obi-Wan who was watching him through tiny silvers of opened eyes.
“Thought it fit him…”

“Obi-Wan.” Anakin slid his hand out
and moved to the bed, sitting on the bedside and leaning down,
pressing his forehead to his omegas while cupping one flushed bearded
cheek. “You wonderful miracle of nature. You did so GOOD. You hear
me? You did so good.” He was crying and laughing at the same time,

Obi-Wan gave a low noise of contentment
before falling back into his drug assisted sleep.

Anakin looked back to the incubator,
still shaking and still laughing. “Welcome to the world Jinn
Kenobi.”

I think my last prompt for this got eaten, but if not, sorry for the repeat. I was just hoping for some more of EmperorVader now that the babies are born. I want to see them with their hands full.

Eyes snapping open at a soft cry,
Obi-Wan mumbled and struggled out of bed, carefully pushing himself
to his feet before the cry could turn piercing and loud.

Beside him, Anakin shifted too and sat
up in bed, watching the redhead make his way in the dark to the crib
and pick up a squirming shape. “Do you need me?” He questioned,
voice tired. Force he loved his babies but he had no idea they could
be this draining.

“You could call the nanny droid and
tell it to make two bottles of milk.” Obi-Wan yawned back before
using the dim light of the fresher to guide himself towards it. “And
pick up Shmi, she’s squirming but not crying yet.”

Anakin sighed at that but did as told,
smiling when he picked up his little girl. “Hey there little
princess.” He nuzzled before following after Obi-Wan, squinting in
the fresher light before he focused on Obi-Wan changing Qui-Gon’s
diaper and talking softly to him, tickling little feet.

It made Anakin smile because Obi-Wan
looked happy.

He looked actually happy compared to
when Anakin had found him again all that time ago and even the fall
of Palpatine.

“You’re staring.” Obi-Wan hummed.

“Just…you look happy.”

That got a slight pause out of Obi-Wan
before he looked at Anakin, eyes serious. “I got more things to be
happy about and I have managed to…put things behind me.
Forgiven…if not forgotten.” He sighed.

“…You’re still unhappy with me.”
Anakin moved to his side, peering down at the changing table and
cooing at Qui-Gon.

“Yes. But I also love you. So I’ve
forgiven if not forgotten. And I’m keeping an eye on you Anakin.”
Obi-Wan said severely before sighing. “But…we’re rebuilding.
Everything is rebuilding.

Hesitating only a bit, because Sith and
Emperors do not hesitate, Anakin leaned in and pecked him on the
cheek. “Well, its good I have you and Ahsoka then, to help reign me
in if I go to far?” He offered gently.

“There is that. There is also the
fact that you remember what it felt like to be a slave and yourself
and you’re actively trying to make the galaxy a better place. I do
question the wisdom of the embargoes you have placed against the
hutts but… I do understand them.” Obi-Wan hummed while finding a
fresh diaper for Qui-Gon.

“They need to know that slavery will
not be tolerated anymore.” Anakin scowled, memories from his and
his mothers life with Gardulla to tightly caught in his mind to ever
be forgotten.

“You can’t expect them disband it
in on a day, with a system built on slavery its not that easy which
was why the Jedi could not do anything without the support of the
Senate.”

“Well its a good thing they have the
support of the Empire now.” Anakin said firmly.

“…We do…don’t we?” Obi-Wan
blinked at that and looked at his husband. “We have…your support?
We could…do things.” He looked back down at Qui-Gon.

The blond sighed before pressing a soft
kiss to the others cheek. “You need to recover. Don’t tell me
you’re good to go on missions yet, I saw you wrap your arms around
your stomach before bed.” He scolded quietly.

“Oh I’m not going anywhere, not
with Qui and Shmi still so small.” Obi-Wan snorted. “And my
insides are still so…ugh.”

Shoulders relaxing, Anakin pressed
another soft kiss to Obi-Wan’s bearded cheek. “Good.”

Exchanging babies once Qui-Gon was
redressed, Anakin felt a grin cross his lips. “I still can’t
believe you called them for rats. Hairless, tailless rats.”

“I have no memories of that.”
Obi-Wan said airily.

“Uhu, and I imagine you would have
denied it even if there existed evidence.” The blond teased.

“Of course, they are perfectly
gorgeous stargems, that’s what they are.” Obi-Wan cooed down at
Shmi while tickling her feet, grinning at her giggles.

“I love you.” Anakin sighed
happily, leaning a bit against the shorter man while rocking Qui-Gon.

“…Anakin, I love you too.”
Obi-Wan offered quietly, smiling up at him as Anakin gifted him with
a delighted kiss and a tender kiss to the lips.

Things were far from perfect.

But they were getting better.

Obi-Wan would try his best to keep this
growing empire from becoming a consuming beast and keep Anakin on the
straight path.

He hoped history would remember him
kindly.

Well, in that case…Prompt where Anakin finds out Obi-Wan arranged for Shmi to be free, either in the two alphas verse, or a different one – possibly where Obi-Wan apologises for it after learning of Shmi’s death, cause he blames himself? If not in two alphas, obikin :)

“From the Chancellor? Really?”
Obi-Wan turned the pill bottle in his hand while curling into
Anakin’s side as Padme sat in the blond’s lap.

“Uhu, he said they were state of the
art prenatal vitamins. Gave me a box of them and told me
congratulation.” The alpha beamed at him. “He said they’d do
you good.”

“I do like the ones I have though,
tastes like raspberry.” Obi-Wan hummed before sighing happily when
Anakin nosed at his hair and Padme rubbed his stomach lightly. “But
since its a gift I guess I can use them. I was running out anyhow and
needed to buy a new box.” He smiled at them.

“Good, you need to stay on top of
those.” Padme lifted her hand to his cheek and stroked it lightly,
smiling when Obi-Wan just soaked up their affections.

“We should think about names!”
Anakin announced happily, beaming at the two.

Humming, Obi-Wan sat the vitamin box on
the table. “That’s an idea.”

“I suggest Preston, after Bail if
he’s going to be the godfather.” Padme wiggled.

“Jinn’s a suggestion too, after
Qui-Gon. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for him and you Obi-Wan
but its a bit vain to name the baby after you.” Anakin leaned in,
kissing the other on the nose.

Obi-Wan wiggled his nose and looked at
the two. “You two both seem pretty sure its going to be a boy.”

“Well it could be a girl but I got a
good feeling on boy.” Anakin shrugged which got an amused huff out
of Obi-Wan before their copper haired mate hesitated.

“If…if its a girl, perhaps Shmi?”
He offered quietly, watching Anakin’s face.

Padme stroked her husbands hands gently
as they tensed on her thigh before he relaxed, nodding while smiling
sadly at Obi-Wan. “I like that idea…” He murmured, pulling
Obi-Wan closer to his side.

“…I never apologized, did I?”
Obi-Wan whispered, settling his head on Anakin’s shoulder. “I…
I figured it was just dreams. That you were worried about your mother
and she…” He sighed. “It was Tatooine. You knew how dangerous
it was…I’m so sorry Anakin.”

“Don’t be. I mean, there wasn’t
any res-”

“Yes there was.” Obi-Wan sat up a
bit, rubbing his stomach while biting his lips. “You thought she
was still a slave, I should have listened and I should have told you
that I had her freed an-”

“Wait, wait what?!” Anakin sat up
so quick Padme almost fell out of his lap, the Senator latching onto
him with a yelp.

Then they were both staring at him.

“…I gave Cleigg the truguts to buy
Shmi. I knew he’d do it if I asked him, since he is my father and
all.” Obi-Wan shifted a bit, looking at his knees. “I just…I
knew if you knew she was freed you’d want to talk to her and you
were so young at the time and I was suppose to train you but I
couldn’t just leave her the-”

Arms wrapped tightly around Obi-Wan,
dragging him into Anakin’s lap. “Oh Obi-Wan.” He was squeezed
tightly, Padme now beside Anakin on the couch.
“You…sweet…idiotic…loving man.” Soft kisses were pressed to
his temple. “Of course you went and…”

“…I never expected him to marry
her. I was furious when he told me.” Obi-Wan laughed shakily into
Anakin’s shoulder, relief overcoming him.

He had been worried about Anakin’s
reaction to this but it seemed all his worry had been for nothing.

His mate was pleased with him.

They both were pleased with him.

“You were?” Anakin mumbled.

“I told him to free her, not gild her
chains.” Obi-Wan snuggled into Anakin, sighing when the belly got a
bit in the way. “But she loved him so and I let it be. They
seemed…happy. She seemed happy.”

“She was, from what Owen, Cleigg and
Beru could tell me.” Anakin rubbed the others lower back slowly.
“Does this make Owen…”

“Half. We’re half brothers.
Technically speaking it makes us step brothers.” Obi-Wan hummed,
closing his eyes while enjoying their touches. “…But I really
need to shift Anakin, this position is hurting my knees.” He whined
and smiled when both helped him move.

“Pregnancies…such fragile things.”
Palpatine hummed, eyes on the ceiling. “Parasitic in nature but
still fragile to all the things its carrier experiences…like ergot
poisoning.”

He picked up the bottle of prenatal vitamins on his
desk, a slow smirk crossing his face as he shook it. “Yes…fragile
things.” He turned his eyes to the Jedi temple, his smirk growing
slowly.
