HI hi! Just general questioning here. You, and a lot of other fan authors, write many different types of bonds for the Jedi. Way back, when it was only the Original trilogy and now SW Legends books. With the exception of Mara Jade having a ‘hook’ in her mind from Palpatine, nothing like a metaphysical bond explicitly exists that I recall. Personally I thought since the Force connected everything a ‘bond’ would be just recognition. Like going outside an seeing the Big Dipper at night. Cont-Bonds
Bonds – Cont Given the philosophy of no attachments, having a bond be
metaphorical makes a lot of sense. A bond would be recognition of a
presence in the Force. And they’d feel different with different emotions
and recognizing the Force-shape of a person and the changes with
different emotions, um, yeah I’ve a lot of philosophical ponderings. Of
course more recent canonical media is different than the original. So
the general question, what are your thought on Force bonds, in canon and
fandom?
To be honest I’m not sure about the
canon of the bonds, there seems to be a lot of it in regards to Force
bonds existing but not a lot of explanation in it of the what and the hows.
Fanon though I think its a great plot
device for authors, especially since there’s a lack of real
explanation and understanding of it which means we can work it
however we want, make it good or bad, share thoughts, have
conversation or just a basic thing that makes one aware of each
other.

So…just a psa, I’m not in a good headspace at the moment and my pains are a bit worse then usual.
So tomorrows updates might be a bit…delayed and perhaps a bit less then usual. Hopefully you’ll all be understandeble and perhaps re-read some older things.
I’d suggest going to the Master list in the header and picking your way through it for something to read if I don’t update as I usually do and perhaps leave me a comment if you like it?
