Hi Moddy! I was wondering if we could see more Policeandlibrary (the cop Jango and librarian Obi-Wan AU)? Last we saw them, Obi-Wan was recovering from the bank robbery and Jango was recovering from his leg injury. I was hoping we could see Jango finally make a move on Obi-Wan and them get together. I feel like nearly losing Obi-Wan in the robbery must have made an impact on Jango and maybe that shakes him enough to make his feelings known.

Holding the umbrella high to cover them
both, Jango squinted down the now dark roads of the weekend market
the two had gone to before they had known rain would come. Obi-Wan
had put on a warm coat but had forgone his umbrella while Jango had
snagged one out of habit as he hated being wet.

It was barely big enough for both and
Jango wrapped his arm around the others shoulders to pull him closer,
tucking Obi-Wan to his shoulder as he peered around.

When the other let out a little noise
of discomfort however, he quickly glanced down instead, watching
Obi-Wan pull his head away from Jango’s brown leather jacket to
cover his nose with a hand as he let out a small hiss.

“Did I push your nose into my
jacket?” Jango blinked, wincing when the other nodded. “Apologies
Obi-Wan, that was not my intention…” He pardoned.

That gained him a small smile. “Oh I
know you didn’t do it on purpose, my nose is just still sore from
when it got broken.” Obi-Wan said quietly.

“It would be, its the kind of thing
that takes time to heal from unfortunately.” Jango agreed, lowering
the umbrella a bit.

It was odd.

Standing there in the market made of
pop-up stands and colorful signs as people hastened out of the rain
as best they could, Jango felt almost like they had more privacy than
at their apartment. The rain dripped around and muffled the noise of
everything else but Obi-Wan’s breathing.

This close, his warmth was passing
through Jango’s clothes, practically branding him with the warmth
pouring from the others body.

Strange but wonderful at the same time,
Jango tightening his grasp on the others shoulder.

Obi-Wan peeked up at that, a small
smile quirking over his lips.

Stars light, he was pretty in his nice
warm army green coat with the fur lining and his hair mussed up.

Wait, was Obi-Wan getting closer?

Jango froze in shock as lips gently
touched his, Obi-Wan’s hands resting on his shoulders as the
redhead chastely kissed him.

And then the other settled his cheek on
Jango’s shoulder as he gave a hum. “I don’t think the rain is
going to let up anytime soon, we may want to find a cafe or something
to sit down and have a coffee and maybe a cake.” He mused.

And then he laughed as he caught sight
of Jango’s shell shocked expression.

“What? You thought you were being
discreet about liking me Jango?” He teased, playfully slapping the
other in the free shoulder. “You creep I saw you sniff my beard
oil.”

Jango’s ears burned at that as the
cop cleared his throat with some humiliation, his cheeks also turning
red. “I-I’m sorry about that. Honestly I was curious about it,
never meet anyone who uses beard oil before.” He mumbled before
blinking and looking at the other. “Wait, does that mean you just
asked me on a date?” Jango blinked hard.

“You’re endearingly slow
sometimes.” Obi-Wan chuckled, cupping Jango’s cheek with a hand.
“For such a normally smart man I mean.” He teased.

Smirking a bit sheepishly, the other
shrugged. “What can I say, you’re just too smart for me to be it
too.” He murmured before nodding his head towards the left. “And
I saw a cafe further up the way we came.” Frankly, Jango’s leg
could use a break considering it was aching from all the walking, not
that he would admit to it really.

Taking Jango’s free hand, Obi-Wan
nodded. “Then that’s where we will go.” He murmured warmly, the
two making their way from their safe spot through the rain.

So how’s notwoarealike going? With the whole temple vac and all? (When does Palps find out and how does he react?) Is Obi going to be hauling overtime now that he knows the war’s designed to be lost by both sides from the start? Thanks for all the fantastic writing!

Starting quietly and on the low, the
temple started to ship out their youngest in the cover of night,
guarded by several knights and masters in the know with less knowing
troopers accompanying the ship, the migration of the Order to Devaron
started.

Only a few were in the know and those
that were, kept their kept their karking mouth shuts to prevent
leaks.

Those that did know only spoke to each
other about it, each wondering why now, in the middle of a war were
they being moved off Coruscant where Jedi had spent decades?

But none protested the Jedi council
decision.

Even Jocasta was quietly with her
archivists packing the library and the artifacts of the Order to be
shipped out once the first ships returned from Devaron after
delivering the most treasured of the Order, their young and their
caretakers and protectors.

Several master’s had expressed worry
about the actual size of the Temple of Eedit being big enough for all
of them only to be reassured that if space became a problem, they
would be built.

Orders were given to those who tended
to the gardens to start preparing saplings and seeds to transport of
all the gardens had to offer along with animals and insects to be
quietly corralled in as best possible.

That was not to say that the Coruscant
temple would be left utterly bare but it would no longer contain the
majority of the Jedi Order.

And not their most vulnerable members.

Kenobi had been right about that at
least and Mace had managed to convince the rest, reluctant, he had
dragged them kicking and screaming into agreeing with him if they
didn’t want to. Which explained why Mace and Kit were landing on
Kamino to speak with Kenobi since he was the instigator of this
entire affair.

A clone who walked with a limp
greeted them with a small smile, red hair curled into a small bun in
his neck. “Welcome to casa del Al’Verde General’s, Al’Verde
will be with you soon but I’ve been asked to escort you to a
meeting room and offer you refreshments.” The Kenobi clone said
warmly.

Kit smiled in return, nodding. “Thank
you, water or tea or even some juice would be good. May we ask your name?”

“Spinner.” The man offered lightly,
leading them through the halls. “My name is Spinner, I’m one of
the vode staff trainers here.” He laughed.

“Forgive me for asking but where are
the Kaminoans?” Mace asked, having taken note that usually it was
them who meet Jedi who arrived. This time however…

Spinner pursed his lips, not unlike his
originator before shrugging. “Al’Verde doesn’t like the
longnecks in this part of the facility. This is his home, he had it
built after buying the spot from them. And he gives the clones free
access but not the kaminoans since they consider us… tools. Tools
that can be discarded when ‘damaged’ or considered useless.” He
settled on.

The Jedi exchanged looks.

“I see.” Mace murmured and after
that, nothing more was said on the subject until Spinner got them
both tea from a stash, boiling it with care.

“I did think this looked different
from the standard kamino facility, its nice to know I wasn’t
wrong.” Kit noted.

Spinner chuckled at that, rubbing his
beard before bringing the tea over to them. “Al’Verde has made Kamino his home even if he didn’t
start out like that. He’s made this his home for our sake.” He
shrugged with a smile before looking up and straightening when the door
opened, giving an easy salute. “Al’Verde.”

Kenobi, sans armor, stepped and nodded
to Spinner, giving him an easy smile. “Spinner, you should get back
to your duty, I’ll handle everything from here.”

There was a nod and Spinner limped
away, chuckling when Kenobi gave him a pat on the shoulder before the
original made his way to the table to sit down.

For a moment none of them said anything
as they stared at each other before Kenobi leaned forward, hands
resting on the table. “I imagine this has something to do with the
information I gave you Master Windu.”

Mace nodded slowly as Kit clung to his
cup. “It does, Temple of Eedit will be safer for us… but its not
as big. We need help to expand… are there anyone you trust that
will not reveal what they know to the rest of the galaxy?” He
questioned. The truth would come out but hopefully the secret of the building would not be widely known.

Sitting back in his chair, Kenobi’s
face lit up with a small smirk. “Well, if that’s all the problem
you’re thinking of… you’re looking at your solution.”

Exchanging confused looks, Kit and Mace
sent the redhead imploring looks that made him chuckle.

“What? You thought the clones could
only go to war? Who do you think built my base?” He teased them.

“What? You thought the clones could
only go to war? Who do you think built my base?” He teased them.

Continuation of warrior culture? Is there going to be a larger point of conflict or antagonist? How do obi and jango maintain their long distance relationship? Does anakin come in at some point? Does qui get to give jango the hurt-him-and-i-end-you speech?

“So you found an
incredibly Force sensitive slave boy is what you’re telling me?”
Jango leaned forward, elbows on his knees as he peered at the holo of
Obi-Wan.

The Jedi nodded,
curled up in what was obviously a bed so it must be one of the
portable comms Jango had given the Jedi to continue their private
communications. “Yes, he, his mother and a whole group of other
beings were being transported through Republic space. Because they
were in Republic space, we intervened and rescued them without
incident.” Obi-Wan sighed tiredly. “I wish we could do more
though, the Senate is too worried about pissing off the hutts.” He
rubbed a hand over his worn face.

Jango sighed too,
slavery was a taint on the galaxy and he too wished there was more
that could be done about it but somewhere, someone was always
subduing someones will in some manner, so total eradication would
never happen.

But if they could
at least get the overt slavery and slave trade banned…

Well it would make
it harder.

It would also mean
that the trade went underground and the slaves would be hidden even
more but it would be harder for sure for even the damn hutts to keep
them if they couldn’t just house them in a minor room somewhere in
fear of being discovered.

‘Mandalore could
bring it up…’ Jango mused before shaking himself and focusing
back on his tired love. “So they’re all on the ship with you and
Vos then? How many, is the ship big enough?”

Obi-Wan shifted,
sitting up and nodding. “We had to convert the hold for it but
yeah, they preferred to group together for the trip, for comfort and
safety though I spent some time speaking with a lot of them…” He
hesitated a bit before giving Jango a soulful look. “A lot of them
don’t know more then what their names are. They’ve been
mindwiped.” He whispered shakily.

The Duke outright
winced at that. “Those hut’uun.” He snarled a bit.

“Yeah…Shmi
knows she was captured by slavers at a young age with her parents and
sold them. Anakin has known nothing but slavery but I think his
mother has protected him for as long as its been.” Obi-Wan
murmured.

“How old is
Anakin? Are you taking him to the temple?” Jango questioned
curiously.

“If Shmi agrees,
I’m not taking her decision from her and Anakin is four and a
half.” Obi-Wan rubbed the back of his neck. “If she decides not,
then I’m taking her to the halls of healing and leaving them there.
The standard practice with freed slaves are to bring them to the
Halls and let the healers look them over before they get transferred
to the Senate run slavery freedom committee who help them figure out
if they still have family out there, if they were taken from Republic
space and therefor already have freeman papers or help them get
proper documentation.”

For a several
minutes neither said anything, Obi-Wan pulling his feet up into the
bed to rest his head on his knees.

“Is there any
more to be done for them?” Jango murmured quietly, curious what the
Republic did for slaves that were freed.

“It… depends.
Honestly a lot comes down to the freed person, they’re offered
housing and food for a while and even education so they may be able
to get a job if they aren’t already skilled, and even then they are
offered education since may slavers keep their slaves illiterate. But
after a certain time…” Obi-Wan hesitated then sighed. “After a
certain time, they get thrown out, expected to make their own way in
the galaxy.” He stared down at his feet. “…There’s not really
a lot the Jedi can do about that, once we hand then over to the
Senate, its out of our jurisdiction… some kind of heroes we are.”
Obi-Wan said bitterly.

“The best.”
Jango rumbled. He didn’t strictly believe that but he knew that
Obi-Wan in particularly always tried. “You always try, you never
give up and you want to help people. You can’t help how the
government is and you know what would happen if you acted without
their blessing.” He said seriously before holding out a hand to
him. “If you ever need a safe harbor Obi-Wan, you know where to
come. The Senate has nothing on Mandalore or me.” He said
seriously.

Obi-Wan stared at
him through the holo before softening slowly, a smile on his face.
“…I love you Jango.” He whispered.

“And I love you
ner jetii, you reckless, marvelous man.” Jango returned softly,
watching the other fondly as he laid back down. ‘I love you so damn
much.’

In policeandlibrary, does Obi have any siblings, or is he an only child?

“Yes Anakin, I
promise you, I’m fine.” Obi-Wan sighed into his cell, gingerly
rubbing the bandaid on his nose carefully. It was healing pretty well
but the bruises from the bank robbery/hostage situation were very
vivid and his nose ached quite a bit from the break.

He might even have
a bump in his nose like his father had.

“If you’re
sure.” Came the suspicious voice in return over the cell.

“Anakin,
honestly, yes I’m aching and sore and yes I’m a bit freaked out
by what happened but I’m safe at home and I’m healing. The
hospital provided me with a recipe for a painkiller I’m taking
temporarily.” Obi-Wan said, smiling a bit despite the other making
him tired with incessant questions.

“…Okay, I’m
sorry for bothering you but… I’m worried. So is mom and dad.”
Anakin mumbled.

Softening at that,
Obi-Wan stroked his hair back from his face. “Oh Ani, I’m sorry
too. I’m just so tired from the pain. I’ll call you tomorrow when
I’m more up to a long conversation?” He murmured softly.

There was a pause
and then a small laugh. “Okay, fine. I got the day off tomorrow so
call me any time after 2 pm. Hear from you laters Obi-Wan.”

“Later Anakin.”
Obi-Wan hummed quietly, hanging up before putting his cellphone away.

Then he let his
head drop back against the armchair back, closing his eyes for just a
few moments of peace.

Well he did until
there was a little tap against his shoulder, Obi-Wan opening his eyes
to find Jango peering back down at him with a cup in his hand with a
straw in it. “Some tea. Put a straw in it so your cup doesn’t
accidentally touch your nose.” He smirked.

“You are a gem.”
Obi-Wan practically whimpered, sitting up a bit to take the offered
cup and blow softly on the steaming liquid.

“Yeah, I know.”
Jango sniggered and after a moment’s hesitation he rested his hand
on the others head, ignoring the greasy texture of it since Obi-Wan
had been unable to shower since the hostage situation.

At the touch,
Obi-Wan tilted his head to look up at him, blinking curiously.

“Who is Anakin?”
Jango rumbled out instead of answering the obvious question in the
others eyes, taking in Obi-Wan in his soft little mauve cardigan and
sweatpants.

“Oh, Anakin’s
my stepbrother.” Obi-Wan shifted in his chair. “My father and
mother adopted him when he was an older child.” He smiled.

“Really? You
hadn’t mentioned him before.” Jango blinked down at him, puzzled.

Laughing quietly,
Obi-Wan raised a hand and wiggled it. “I know, I’m sorry. In the
start I was still trying to get to know you all well and after that
it slipped my mind to mention Anakin. I generally just subconsciously
assumed you all knew when I told you all I was visiting my family,
Anakin is off to college so we both visit our parents for special
occasions.” He grinned slightly.

Relaxing and
limping over to the couch, Jango settled down. “I see.” He
rumbled.

“He’s a good
kid, studying engineering.” Obi-Wan offered with a softer smile.
“He wants to become an aeronautical engineer, work either in the
civil or the military sector with aircraft’s of different kinds. He
wanted to be a pilot first but… well health reasons kept him from
that path.” He sighed.

Jango clearly
wanted to ask more but didn’t.

It made Obi-Wan
smile as Jango kept his curiosity to himself until Obi-Wan was ready
to spill more secret. Taking a sip of the tea, Obi-Wan gestured to
Jango’s leg. “How’s the leg officer?” He teased softly.

Snorting a bit, the
man glanced down then shrugged. “Casts off, going to be a bit of
rehabilitation still but its coming along and then I’ll be back in
the field with the others. But until then…” He kicked up a smirk
for Obi-Wan. “I guess you and I are keeping each other company and
making sure the other two idiots eat properly.”

Laughing at that,
Obi-Wan nodded. “If it was up to those two, we’d have takeout
everyday.” He teased and while he liked takeout, everyday was a bit
much.

Jango nodded,
smirking a bit before kicking his feet up on the couch and grabbing
the remote, turning it on.

“If it was up to those two, we’d have takeout
everyday.” He teased and while he liked takeout, everyday was a bit
much.

Jango nodded,
smirking a bit before kicking his feet up on the couch and grabbing
the remote, turning it on.

in the cop!jango and librarian au could you write something were obi-wan somehow manages to get himself in the middle of a hostage situation or a bank robbery or something and his boyfriends have to save him and get to worry over him (possible hurt/comfort?)

Blood trickling
down his nose and chin to drip onto his sweater, Obi-Wan watched the
robbers with one swelling eye.

Fuck, when he had
gone to talk to the bank about his loan, he hadn’t expected to be
caught out in a damn robbery of all things and had acted without
thinking which had lead to his current situation, pistol whipped and
backhanded hard enough to swell his eye and at least cause his nose
to bleed though Obi-Wan suspected a break.

Jango was going to
have a cow when he saw Obi-Wan.

If he saw Obi-Wan
again.

He swallowed
heavily.

He’d heard about
robberies, most of them didn’t end in bloodshed. Violence sure but
not bloodshed and death as long as people remained calm but you never
knew for sure and Obi-Wan had to admit that he wished he’d talked
to his parents before he went to the bank now…

Just so they knew
he loved them.

Just in case.

“Shit, I see
cops.” One of them suddenly hissed, staring out the window where
he’d been keeping guard. “They’re hiding behind cars, they know
we’re here.” He snarled before aiming a gun at one of the tellers
who squeaked in fear. “Who called them!?” He snarled.

Obi-Wan kept his
mouth shut.

He knew who.

Because it was him
and a butt-dial to Jango, because Obi-Wan had heard Jango’s voice
for a few seconds before Jango had realized what was going on and
that was why Obi-Wan was sitting as still as he could to avoid
hanging up with his rear.

‘If they discover
it was me…’ Obi-Wan bit his lips as the robbers yelled at each
other from behind their masks.

Strangely enough
one of them sounded female to him but very distorted.

None of them moved
like a woman though but perhaps Obi-Wan’s perception was twisted by
the fact that he was so swollen and most likely concussed.

“It could have
been someone on the outside.” One growled and Obi-Wan was sure that
was a woman.

“She’s right.”
Well that confirmed it when one grunted.

“Then what do we
do?” The third and biggest of them all, hissed at his companions.

Obi-Wan quietly
closed his eyes, letting out a quiet sigh of pain.

But because of that
he was taken off guard when someone grasped him by the hair to drag
him to his feet, giving a loud and pained yelp. “We have hostages,
I say we use them.” The female was growling, the mask of some
politician barely moving but through the eye-holes Obi-Wan could spot
a pair of pale gray eyes.

“Not him. If we
show them an already bleeding hostage, they’re gonna be even harder
to deal with.” The one with a snake mask commented, waving his gun.
“Pick another if you’re gonna shove it in their faces that we
know they’re there.”

She dropped Obi-Wan
back down and went for one of the tellers, a young twi’lek.

And with that the
hostage situation at Coruscant Grand east bank started.

Obi-Wan quietly
wondered as he woke up with a numb face from a forced nap his body
had demanded despite the adrenaline in his system, if his nose could
develop an infection.

Shifting a bit, he
glanced to see where the robbers turned hostage takers were, blinking
when he found two of them outright asleep and the third seemingly
sleeping upright, having fallen asleep while suppose to keep watch.

‘Guess even
kidnappers get ti-’ Obi-Wan couldn’t figure his thought as there
was a crash, the sound of breaking glass before smoke filled the
entire room from a smoke grenade and then shouting and confusion with
a few gunshots horrifyingly enough and Obi-Wan had no idea what was
going on until a machine gun was suddenly pointed at him and he held
up his hands with wide eyes.

“Obi-Wan?” Came
a muffled voice.

Obi-Wan squinted up
as the machine gun was pointed away, a man in tactical gear kneeling
down in front of him. The person pushed his mask up and Obi-Wan could
feel his heart almost jump out of his chest in relief. “Rex.” He
whispered.

The other grinned a
bit before settling his gun to the side, glancing to see his
compatriots taking care of the three robbers before he reached for
Obi-Wan. “Hey there Obi, lets get you out of here and to an
ambulance huh?” He whispered for his benefit

“I’d like that…
I want to go home now.” Obi-Wan laughed shakily. His mother’s
self defense lessons hadn’t included being stuck in the middle of a
robbery and right now Obi-Wan just wanted to go home and veg out with
Jango.

Carefully Rex
pulled him up, Obi-Wan’s arm over the police officer’s shoulders
and Rex’s arm around the librarian’s waist to guide him out since
Obi-Wan’s legs were shaking beneath him and his face was covered in
blood.

Normally Obi-Wan
wouldn’t have needed the support but his head throbbed and every
step made him feel dizzy, something Rex could obviously tell from
spending as much time as he did with Obi-Wan. “Lets get you out of
here.” He murmured, worried about his friend.

Continuation of threeinapod? Any more details on the date? You implied that Obi-Wan and Anakin were living together so Anakin would still be Obi-Wan’s Palawan, correct? How does he feel about this? Upset? Confused? Jealous? Grateful when they’re off Coruscant and there are two more people protecting his trouble-magnet master? Thanks for all of your hard work!

Struggling not to
stare at the giant hicky on one side of Obi-Wan’s neck or the bite
mark on the other side, Anakin tried not to think about the fact that
his master had gone on a date with twho kriffing bounty hunters of
all things.

And Obi-Wan told
him not to be reckless!

Or…

Well considering
Obi-Wan waited so long and kept gauging them, perhaps it wasn’t
reckless but a well calculated move?

Anakin wasn’t
sure, it sounded reckless to him.

But his master had
also seemed… happy lately. As if both Fett and Bane made him smile
and happy and content all at the same time when he thought of them.

Force, Anakin would
even catch the other smiling to himself in happiness at times as if
he couldn’t help himself before he shook himself out of it and
focused on the tasks at hand.

“Its kind of
weird Master.” Anakin finally said, Obi-Wan looking up from where
he was preparing their lunch.

“What is
padawan?” He questioned, puzzled looking.

“You dating
bounty hunters who have tried to kill us.” Anakin shrugged a bit.

Obi-Wan colored a
bit and continued cutting up the vegetables. “Yes, I know. Its
just… well they seem genuine and so ar they haven’t tried to hurt
me at all and they seem to be behaving themselves.” He sighed.

“And when they
stop behaving themselves?” Anakin tilted his head, frowning a bit
at Obi-Wan. Suddenly his stomach was squirming uncomfortably,
realizing that Bane and Fett had the potential to actually hurt
Obi-Wan not just physically but emotionally too now from the looks of
it.

It was a startling
and a bit frightening realization honestly.

Obi-Wan didn’t
answer.

He didn’t seem to
know the answer from the looks of it.

Using manners more
fit to dine with royalty then bounty hunters, Obi-Wan carefully cut
into the chicken he had been served, pretending he wasn’t fighting
against a blush as Cad continued nuzzling into his neck with a small
smirk.

Jango just chuckled
quietly at both as he poured Obi-Wan a fresh glass of wine.

The two had decided
to be a bit fancy for Obi-Wan’s sake but the night was quickly
turning from fancy to a bit on the racy side since Cad was proving he
couldn’t keep his long fingers off Obi-Wan for too long of a time
when they had him in private.

Something about how
Obi-Wan smelled to the duro apparently.

‘I don’t know
what the future might or might not bring, I don’t even know what
tomorrow will bring.’ Obi-Wan settled down his cutlery and lifted
his napkin to wipe his mouth. ‘But perhaps I should worry less
about the future and just enjoy the moment.’ He shifted and pushed
Cad back.

Before the duro
could do more then grunt in annoyance, Obi-Wan shifted out of his own
seat and was straddling Cad’s lap in his chair instead, hands
cupping the others face to kiss him carefully.

Hands were quick to
find his hips and hold on as Cad responded eagerly, pulling Obi-Wan
in close and tempting him into a deep kiss.

Moments later
another warm body pressed against the Jedi’s back as Jango joined
them, kissing smoothly along Obi-Wan’s exposed neck as tanned hands
went for Obi-Wan’s belts to loosen his tunics.

Obi-Wan didn’t
know what the future would be.

It could be
heartbreak for all he knew but for now, there was pleasure and
company and a new experience in his life.
