in ‘jedi are cats’, could we get some 212th and 501st specific videos or scenes, please? :pleading: i love it when jedi just. do the things and get loved by clones

“Where the hell is Waxer!?” The video started of with what was clearly Commander Cody on a warpath, the man looking incensed as he spun around the camp while looking around for said trooper.

The local fauna looked like one of the more tropical planets, lush green around the camp in all directions they could see and blue sky above with just a few scattered clouds about.

The focus however remained on the incensed Commander as he glared at those around him. “Damn di’kut isn’t answering his comms!” He snarled out, clearly threading a very fine line with his patience at that moment.

It was rather surprising honestly, Marshal Commander Cody was always one of the most level headed commanders the public got to see but today was clearly an off day and not finding this Waxer had pushed him over the edge.

“He said can’t move sir and to tell you he won’t be available for a while.” A shiny, as the public had managed to learn that unmarked troopers were called due to how new they were to the battalions they served, not having earned their paint yet as the others, dared to answer.

Instantly the commander whirled on the man, fire in his eyes. “What?” He snarled out, the shiny backing up in fear.

Thankfully though, for the shiny’s sake, someone intervened on their behalf.

A pair of medics went by, one of them stopping and by the red hair and smily on the chestplate, everyone could tell it was CMO Helix that answered Commander Cody, with medic Potion by his side. “What Trupper here means sir, is that Waxer is currently covered by Jedi and therefore can’t move.” He stated a tad wryly, gesturing towards something in the distance with one hand.

The one filming focused on Cody’s surprised face for a moment before following the line of Helix hand point to a point outside the camp, a bald clone with his helmet beside him and his legs stretched out sitting under a tree some distance from the camp. Beside him, another trooper with a mustache was sitting with his head on the bald ones shoulder.

But the most important part was that General Kenobi was also there, his head and upper body laying out across the bald clones, Waxer’s, lap.

Waxer’s hand was slowly petting the Jedi’s hair, his head tilted to peer up at the clear sky with every line of his body indicating relaxation.

So did Kenobi’s body too.

The man was asleep, settled over one of his trooper’s lap like a giant tooka, the shiny glitter of the bell of his collar barely seen at the distance along with a peek of purple.

A loud sigh echoed and the camera returned to the commander, Cody rubbing at the scar on his temple. “Why didn’t you just say Waxer was covered in Jedi, Trupper?” He questioned in a resigned tone before shaking his head when the trooper in question stammered. “If a Jedi is sleeping on you, unless its an emergency, you don’t move. No one’s gonna blame you for it.” Cody stated wryly.

Moving with Potion, Helix let out a loud snort. “Considering how hard it is to get the General to sleep properly some days, I will shank the first one to wake him.” The CMO growled before disappearing from view.

“Tooka rules apply to Jedi,” The commander continued, as if he hadn’t been interrupted. “If they choose you, you stay still, you let them sleep and you better hope you went to the latrines right before.” Cody grumbled before turning and muttering to himself about who the hell he was going to get to replace Waxer, wandering out of frame.

The trooper filming returned to zoom in on the General and his troopers, giving the public one last view of three content souls relaxing in the shade of a large tree.

Di’kut = Idiot

For Dangerous Galaxy, could we possibly get some POV from a few of the farther flung Jedi and Clones? Once the coup is complete? Like Depa and Grey and Caleb, and Aayla and Bly? Just like, the full realization that the senates control of both the Jedi and the Clones is DONE. (Depa will never have to see her Caleb walk to his own assault, like Made had to watch her,,, the sheer grief and relief that kind of revelation will have,,,)

Arm wrapped around her padawan and son, Depa hardly blinked as she watched Commander Cody, as the Vod’alor of the Republic, spoke to the Republic and the Separatist, reaffirming that the GAR was now in control of not only the Senate but the Republic as a whole and that they now answered to them.

Not only that, the Vod’alor was also showing the proof of the Senate’s corruption, of Palpatine’s manipulating both sides of the war, of rampart embezzling of credits, of deals made in the shadows…

But nothing about what the Jedi had been going through at the hands of the Senate and Depa couldn’t help but feel tears building at the corners of her eyes, filled with relief as she clung to Caleb.

She’d never have to send Caleb to the Senate.

The realization hit her heavily, sent her stomach flipping as the realization sunk in with surety that the troopers now had the power to protect them from the abuse Jedi had gone through for centuries. She would never have to sit up in their quarters, waiting on her padawan, her son, her boy, to come back.  Never have to watch his back as he left for a Senator’s pleasure only to come back maimed and depressed.

Depa would never have to patch Caleb up like Mace had to do for her after suffering abuse at senators hands.

The realization had her pulling Caleb tighter to him as he stared at the holo of Vod’alor Cody, listening intently, knowing that things had changed, feeling Depa’s relief.

A warm blanket dropped around the two of them and Depa flinched, finally dragging her eyes away from Cody to look up at her own Commander Grey smiling humorlessly but comfortingly down at her.

They must have known.

Staring back up at Grey, Depa blinked slowly before smiling back in return, relief in her heart as she held her padawan to her side, feeling Caleb slowly cuddle into his side. She knew the war wasn’t done, there would still be battles but…

There was hope now, hope that Depa had never considered before, hope she knew no Jedi that remained in the order had considered.

As the report finished and then looped, Depa let her chin rest on top of Caleb’s head, wondering… what came next?

Plo had known what was going to happen on Coruscant.

His boys, his sons, couldn’t keep a secret from him, as much as they tried after all and he knew that several other Jedi must have caught on too. Obi-Wan at the very least must have known, seeing who had taken over the reigns and was now technically Chancellor, even if Commander Cody sported the title Vod’alor.

But Wolffe and the others couldn’t keep a secret from Plo.

It was why he had quietly agreed when the boys had requested they remain in the airspace above Coruscant for a few days, not making a fuss.

Ever since Wolffe and the boys learned that his arm had been broken by a Senator, by no means the worst injury he had received really, he had known that something was up. The way the boys had burned with rage…

Oh, Plo knew that the former Senator in question’s days were numbered.

He should regret that.

He should have stopped the coup of the Senate.

He didn’t.

Instead he was just so tired, so weary that when Wolffe, gruffly but with concern had suggested he go rest for a while, he had taken his commander on the offer with a smile and a gentle shoulder pat as he saw a bright red orange spot bloom on the surface of Coruscant.

Ignoring it, knowing it was fire and likely the troopers on Coruscant doing, Plo bid his boys a good watch and told them to get their own rest when it was time before quietly making his way to his quarters to remove his mask and googles.

His boys and their vode would take care of things and Plo couldn’t be prouder of them.

Couldn’t be prouder of these traumatized and yet compassionate boys he had the honor of getting to know, the honor of caring for him in return. Who, when they learned about what was happening to the Jedi, had turned around and decided enough was enough.

Would they have done so for themselves?

Plo wasn’t sure, he hoped they would, but he also knew how far the Kaminoans had gone to ensure obedience and therefore he was left in the dark if they would have.

So he was thankful, even if it was for the Jedi, that the troopers had ripped themselves free.

He couldn’t be prouder of them and resolved himself to tell them tomorrow, to make sure they knew just how much Plo thought of them…and how grateful he was.

Plo knew he wouldn’t be the only Jedi grateful, though he wondered how long it would take for many to realize just how free they now were. The thought was almost alarming as Plo changed into his sleeping clothes and crawled into his narrow ship bunk, exhausted to the bone and yet relief in his mind.

His dreams were, for the first time in many months, free of nightmares.

No visit to the Senate in his dreams, no dreams of his boys getting gunned down, no sight of trembling padawans first visit to the Senate or limping knights.

Just a deep, dreamless sleep with his covers wrapped around him and the Force lulling him to sleep in its safe embrace with quiet whispers, the signatures of his sons wrapped around him all over his flag ship, the Mercy. He would never again loose his boys the Force whispered in his sleep, as he had lost them on the Triumphant before when his sons had called themselves expendable, the sensation of the war ebbing in his dreamless sleep.

He wouldn’t remember it in the morning, but a sense of utter peace filled Plo for the first time in years as he looked forward to the future.

I love your stories so much! Can we get a continuation of Sweetheart Hungry? How is the 212th going to take care of Obi-Wan now that they’ve escaped?

Smiling slightly against the warm skin as the Jedi let out a soft sigh of pleasure while digging his fingers into Cody’s side, the clone continued pressing soft kisses to the incubus sensitive neck.

Getting out of their captivity and back to safety had finally left them a chance to feed Obi-Wan properly, Cody quickly stripping out of his armor to crawl into bed with the Jedi, blanketing the other’s warm body with his own as the rest of the vode steered them home.

Hands dug in under fabric to pet and carcass and warm kisses were exchanged, Obi-Wan slowly becoming more aware as the hunger for skin and desire became sated until he was simply enjoying it for the leisure.

Obi-Wan was skin starved for normal affection, it was something the troopers had quickly figured out when the Jedi’s true being had been revealed to them. It had turned a few stomachs as they realized that Obi-Wan had resorted to sex because that was the easiest way to get what he required.

Quickly, they had set up a system, to cuddle Obi-Wan, to let him realize that he did not need to proposition them for what he needed and instead they were quite willing to hold him and press kisses to exposed skin with as much affection as they could.

It made Cody wonder if the other Jedi were aware that Obi-Wan didn’t need sex but intimate touch worked just as well to sate his hunger. He couldn’t see Obi-Wan’s friends taking advantage of him or allowing him to become starved on purpose if they knew it.

Or the Jedi council, Mace Windu and the other were kind, tried their best to save their troopers and be compassionate to those around them.

Cody knew that General Skywalker at least just held the man and petted his hair to feed him, there wasn’t sex involved with those two even when Skywalker was too rough for hte trooper’s taste but maybe the amount of emotions involved didn’t feed him enough when it came to Skywalker?

Had Obi-Wan simply never corrected them and felt desperate with hunger that he just accepted it?

“Better?” He whispered quietly, letting his thoughts rest as he spoke against Obi-Wan’s skin.

“Mhmm,” Obi-Wan sighed quietly with pleasure. “Quite Cody, thank you.” He murmured drowsily, fingertips slowly teasing Cody’s skin in return.

It actually made goosebumps appear on Cody’s own skin and he shivered happily. “Waxer is getting us back to the Negotiator.” He murmured, chuckling slightly as Obi-Wan tucked his leg up around Cody’s hips.

“Mmmn, Helix mandated someone cuddle me the entire way then?” Obi-Wan questioned quietly, tone soft and warm.

Lifting his head enough, Cody raised his brows. “Even if he hadn’t, someone would have. You were starved for days Obi-Wan.” He stated sternly.

In moments like this, it was only Obi-Wan and not General.

To get the other to understand that the troopers were more than willing to be here, to hold their Jedi, to feed him in any way he required. Cody had feed him more sensually honestly, quite a few of the 212th had and calling the other ‘General’ in bed was…

No, titles had nothing to do in bed and certainly not in the kind of relationship Obi-Wan and his troopers were developing.

Obi-Wan grimaced slightly then chuckled, lifting his head enough to peck a teasing kiss to the tip of Cody’s neck. “Might have asked if no one volunteered.” He confessed, yawning slightly before he closed his eyes with a content little hum.

The confession had Cody smiling softly, stroking over Obi-Wan’s furry cheek.

In the beginning, Obi-Wan admitted nothing beyond ‘I’m hungry, I need assistance.’, a life of being either shunned or used the troopers theorized making him cautious. Now Obi-Wan willingly if a tad shyly confessed when his hunger got the better of him and asked them for what he needed.

The trust always humbled Cody.

He never wanted to loose it. “Sleep now, you’re safe. We’re safe. We’re on route to the Negotiator. It will all be alright ner jetii.” Cody whispered, smile growing at the sweet hum he got in reply before he shifted forward and pressed his face back into Obi-Wan’s neck.

So does Anakin make his move? Does Obi-Wan realize he is attracted to his (unknown to him) mate? How do our boys proceed? Is Obi still getting headaches? Have we made friends with the giant slug? The Snails Are Free

Chewing slowly and thoughtfully as he observed the other, ignoring the sounds of quiet conversations and the click of cutlery on plates, Anakin finally reached out with one of his smaller tentacles and brushed Obi-Wan’s hair out of his face, tucking it behind the others ear as the other gave a startled little noise, blinking at the blond with all three eyes.

“Your hair is getting long, it suits you.” Anakin noted, smiling contently.

Snorting faintly, Obi-Wan set his cutlery down and reached for his wine glass. “I was thinking of having it chopped when we got back to the temple.” He stated a tad wryly, the top of his cheeks notably red as he sipped and Anakin had to fight his own emotions as he noticed the table to the left once more staring at Obi-Wan as he slowly swallowed.

Honestly, when Obi-Wan said he wanted to have some fancier dining, Anakin hadn’t minded it too much.

He was very aware that Obi-Wan quite heartily enjoyed greasy fast food, their trips to Dex with the mountains of food Obi-Wan would sometimes order, being quite revealing in Obi-Wan’s taste.

So if he occasionally wanted to enjoy something a tad fancier, Anakin didn’t mind.

At least Obi-Wan’s definition of fancy was well made food with good ingredient and not fucking gold on food, Anakin never got over his revulsion when rich people did that and he knew Obi-Wan too had a hefty dislike of it.

It was a rather fancy place compared to what Anakin usually preferred. Decorated with what looked like real woods and plants around instead of durasteel and imitation plants or holo projectors, live servers instead of droids and semi shielded tables all around.

It was even mostly full of sentients, sitting in fancy clothes as they dined. On any other day, he might have actually enjoyed the difference compared to Dex Diner.

But seeing people in this restaurant stare at Obi-Wan like they wanted to eat him, instead of their fucking food…

Well, Anakin had the distinct desire to either stab them or throw salt in their eyes. Any eyes he himself was attracting was ignored, he didn’t have eyes for these idiots and the fact that they were mooning at Obi-Wan was frankly pissing Anakin of enough for his tentacles to start shifting in shade.

Something he hadn’t been aware of until Obi-Wan pointed it out, curiously eyeing the grey tentacles turning white as they twitched about. Anakin had to bullshit a bit there, telling Obi-Wan that the it was just all the attention when they were there to eat while being grateful that Obi-Wan no longer got headaches from unexpected eldritch changes.

Not technically a lie, they were being stared of by the clientele of the upper scale restaurant after all.

They all knew who Obi-Wan was, the two Jedi having helped mopping up the insurrection of the planet, a group of dissatisfied outsiders more than anything, and saved the Council of Elders in one fell swoop.

Letting Obi-Wan believe it was because he was annoyed over the attention when he was hungry was easier than letting him know that Anakin was kriffing jealous as fuck and a tad angry the people were being so obvious when Obi-Wan had no interest back.

That and he was a bit terrified that Obi-Wan would return interested if he knew just how much some of these assholes wanted him.

Instead of voicing any of that, Anakin just grinned a tad in response. “I’d rather you didn’t. Never seen you with properly long hair, think you’d look good though but its up to you.” He shrugged absently, absently twirling his fork through the pasta on his plate.

Chuckling faintly, Obi-Wan picked his cutlery back up and cut a nice piece of meat, carefully running it through the sauce. “You like it huh… well, we’ll see. I might keep it, it depends on how much of a hassle it feels like.” He stated a tad thoughtfully.

Anakin couldn’t help but notice that the tips of Obi-Wan’s ears were red too now. ‘…Cute.’

Fertilewar: is Anakin going to show up at some point?

Shrieking loudly in shock as he was lifted of his feet, Obi-Wan would later deny just how loud the sound was, regardless of whatever blasted holo records existed. As it was, he didn’t think about that at all as he was twirled around in the air. “OBI!” A goofy, familiar voice called before Obi-Wan was set down and pulled into a tight hug with a coo.

“Master!” Obi-Wan protested, face burning against the others shoulder as he felt the amused attention of every trooper within distance, clearly all of them had seen Anakin treat him like a youngling.

“Why yes, that’s me,” Anakin finally pushed Obi-Wan back enough to look at him, grinning brightly as he flashed blue eyes over his face. “You’re looking decent, hair growing out quite a bit too.” He stated amusedly, reaching up to playfully tug on some of Obi-Wan’s styled back hair.

Hissing a tad like a cat, Obi-Wan reached up to slap away the others hand, huffing loudly as he stepped back. “Master stop that, I’m not a child.” He complained, trying not to pout.

By the way Anakin was smiling at him in even more amusement, it was clear he was failing.

Honestly, Obi-Wan had known the moment he and Anakin had been paired up for this campaign by the council that this was going to be the outcome.

The other was just too touchy feely and always tended to cuddle Obi-Wan as if he was an oversized teddy.

Not that… well, not that Obi-Wan hated it, not really. It was just a tad embarrassing in public, seeing as they were in the middle of the camp and Commander Cody was right beside him.

Not to mention the clearly amused Captain Rex at Anakin’s side, the blond clone’s brow raised at them.

“You’re an awful child, really,” Anakin sighed playfully, wrapping his arm around Obi-Wan while pulling him along towards the command tent. “Here I am, your master, after weeks and months of distance and all you can do is yell at me.” He playfully pouted and Obi-Wan’s ears burned as he heard a few muffled coughs around the camp.

“Master!” He groaned deeply, covering his face with his hands. He should have kept a better eye on when the Resolute was scheduled to arrive, he knew Anakin was going to be a twat about the entire thing.

“Yes, that is me!” Anakin stated breezily, pulling into the command tent to glance around. “Huh, looks like a good set up. Well done Obi-Wan.” He hummed out.

Coloring even more, grateful for the dark of the tent, Obi-Wan pressed into Anakin’s side. “I can’t take all the credit, Commander Cody and Lieutenant Waxer have been superb help.” He murmured quietly, not wanting to take away from the two despite always loving praise from Anakin.

At the holo display, Waxer puffed up a bit, sending Obi-Wan a short smile and he could feel Cody straighten up behind him at the praise.

Chuckling a tad, Anakin nodded. “Skilled troopers do make it easier but I know you’re skilled too my teeny tiny padawan.” He playfully tugged at Obi-Wan’s hair again, this time going for the hair beneath his right ear.

The place his padawan braid had once been, the braid he had gifted Anakin with.

Obi-Wan grimaced a tad but smiled up at him.

For all that Anakin could be an unbearable twat at times… Obi-Wan was happy he had been paired up with the man. He had missed just holo calling his master. “I’m knight Obi-Wan Kenobi now,” He huffed. “And I’m not tiny.” Obi-Wan grumbled quietly, not really as upset as he pretended.

But then despair hit him as Anakin’s face lit up with unholy glee, the blue light of the terminals and holo display giving him a devilish look. “Hello there not tiny, I’m master.” He crooned evilly.

Gaping at his master, Obi-Wan let out an outraged gasp then shoved the laughing Jedi master away. “MASTER!”

how is palps dealing with all the love being directed towards the gar and jedi in jedi are cats???

Owlishly blinking at the green thing on the ground as the troopers remained in a startled circle where Obi-Wan had been moments before, Obi-Wan shifted slowly before looking at the others with a chagrined look on his face. “I… apologize. I thought it was a snake.” He stated before slowly climbing down as carefully as he could, the bell around his neck chiming softly.

“You thought it was…” Cody started incredulously before sighing deeply, dropping his face in his head with a tired noise. “Alright, that’s it, we’re done. You need rest General, we all do if you’re starting to behave like this.” He stated sternly, without lifting his face from his hands.

“Cody, we really need to finish-”

Lifting his head from his hands to look up, finding the General still two meter up from jumping up a karking twenty meter tall tree, Cody levered a finger at his General. “Someone, and I will find out who once I’ve had a nap and give them latrine duty, just threw a karking zucchini at your feet and you thought it was a snake and proceeded to jump the full length of a tree to get away from it. We are all going to bed, we are going to sleep for at least four hours and so help me, I will have Helix drug each of us if need be.” He hissed, not unlike how a tired Jedi would.

Obi-Wan paused on the last branch before sighing deeply and dropping down the last meter, grunting as he hit the ground and brushing out his tunic. “I… see your point, but Cody, we do need to finish up.” He ventured cautiously, pointedly not looking at the innocent zucchini on the ground.

Glaring at the Jedi, Cody pinched the bridge of his nose. “…Three hours of sleep.” He stated sternly, staring at the other man over his hand, knowing he wouldn’t be winning the fight but knowing he had to try.

“One. One is enough for a nap.” Obi-Wan shot back at the other.

Struggling not to smirk, Cody shook his head as he finally got what he wanted, Obi-Wan into a negotiation. “We need more rest,” He countered sternly before gesturing to the rest of the camp. “Several of the troopers need more than an hour but they will not rest easy if their General doesn’t too.” He tacked on.

It was a tad in bad taste, using his vode in such a way against the General when he knew how much Obi-Wan cared. Thankfully, the others didn’t seem to blame him and instead quite a few of them made themselves look as pathetic as possible, giving Obi-Wan hopeful, almost doe eyed look of tiredness when he glanced towards them with a hesitant look on his face.

“…Hour and a half?” He tried slowly, frowning.

“Two,” Cody countered. “No less than two sir. We can manage better on two hours.” He argued.

Shifting slightly, glancing around the camp again, Obi-Wan opened his mouth again, clearly ready to argue some more.

“In the sun,” Cody interrupted, seeing Obi-Wan freeze. ‘Gotcha…’ He inwardly crooned even as he tilted his head. “Resting in the sun together?” He offered slyly, knowing that his troopers would get the message and already seeing a few run of to find blanket.

“…Sleeping pile?” Oh, Obi-Wan was clearly tired, to reveal how painfully hopeful his voice was as he stared at Cody with wide eyes.

Cody couldn’t help himself and just smiled softly as he nodded. “Sleeping pile, together.” He agreed quietly, knowing he had won as Obi-Wan stepped closer, letting Cody gently guide him towards a still grassy area with sun, a gaggle of of duty troopers following with blankets and a tired sort of cheer.

Glaring darkly at the terminal, his fingers stapled under his chin, Sidious felt a headache from the tenseness of his own jaw grinding his teeth together.

Ever since the damn maggots had started uploading the Jedi’s ‘endearing’ feline behavior, the galaxy had been turning on its axis for favor of the Jedi. They found them interesting, cute or even fascinating as the comment section had more than a few scientists that wanted to study the Jedi.

Hell, they were even donations to the Jedi, getting them tea and snacks and gifts sent to the Jedi temple itself, though the Jedi had swiftly made it clear that they wouldn’t accept extravagant gifts, that they wanted the civilians to take care of themselves and not the Jedi.

That had won them more favor.

This was against Sidious plans, he had made the clones the front figures of the war, the face of posters with just a few faces, like Skywalker, being on posters. He needed Skywalker to be known, as he was to be his apprentice.

But this… this had not been in the plan and Sidious wasn’t sure what to do about it.

He couldn’t get the site taken down, no, he had tried that already and it was clear there were backups, the damn clones having it up again in hours on new servers with better protection.

Nothing in the Jedi’s feline behavior would put the Jedi in a bad light either, so he couldn’t use it either.

“Blast it all,” He snarled, eyes flickering yellow. “They’re becoming bothersome.”

For sightlessbird, I love the relationship between Anakin and Obi – can we get some more bonding time with them?

Sitting in the cold rain of Kamino with his robe tucked tightly around both himself and his precious cargo, Anakin let out a deep sigh. “You know, if Qui-Gon saw us, he’d be scolding us.” He stated a tad wryly as the rain continued to pound down on them.

Obi-Wan had wanted to experience a proper rain storm.

The regulated climate of Coruscant wasn’t quite the same thing and the rain ‘season’ of the room of a Thousand gardens wasn’t either.

Anakin just didn’t have it in him to deny his padawan and he still loved rain, a childhood on a desert planet had made him treasure rain and water and to sit in the rain…

Well, he did that quite a bit actually as a child once he became a padawan and old enough to leave on missions.

Giggling slightly, Obi-Wan simply leaned back into Anakin. “But he’s not hereeee.” He singsonged, lighting up with pleasure when Anakin chuckled quietly.

Honestly, Anakin wasn’t being a fool about it either. He had insisted Obi-Wan sit in his lap, had brought out a small kneeling chair, which elevated them up from the cold and wet platform and had brought his robe, keeping it wrapped around both to keep the rain out, since Anakin’s preferred robe was weaved of mixed fabric to keep rain and wind out but keep heat inside.

So while they were getting somewhat wet, they weren’t soaking, despite sitting already for a good half hour.

He was also very aware that several clones had already peeked out at them and the exasperation from Rex mingled with the shinies of Kamino’s bewilderment.

After all, you had to be crazy to stay out in a downpour on Kamino, right?

Anakin didn’t mind, Obi-Wan a warm form in his lap and against his chest, his head resting on the boy’s forehead.

After his conversation with Padme, he needed the soothing quiet.

It wasn’t that he was… angry directly.

Not anymore.

Or throwing a tantrum, regardless what others would say.

He knew his wife wasn’t all powerful, had seen it often.

But when he begged her to help Ahsoka… begged even Palpatine…

He tightened his grip around the small body in his lap, swallowing thickly only to smile shakily when he felt a small, saber callused hand wrap around his wrist, thumb rubbing at the jut of his wrist.

His padawan, balm to his soul, be it tormented or simply distressed.

He quietly pressed a kiss to the top of Obi-Wan’s head and settled again.

Padme’s call last night had been hard, neither had yelled, despite both having reasons for it, maybe Padme more than him but Anakin was simply tired. And questioning what he had done at the start of the war.

Marrying her…

‘It was a pipe dream, wasn’t it.’ He thought wistfully, tilting his head to look up at the dark sky as the rain continued slamming down on them. A pipe dream to marry his angel and think he could keep her forever, a pipe dream to think he could also be a Jedi.

Just like freeing everyone from slavery would be a pipe dream.

That hurt.

He still wanted to free Tatooine but he wasn’t a little boy anymore, he knew more now, saw more… understood more.

As long as there were people who wanted power, they would subjugate others. And the galaxy had been creative in how to keep that power.

The scar of where his detonator was once implanted ached with phantom pain at the thought and he had to grit his teeth for a few moments and just breath through it.

‘Mom knew,’ He thought wistfully. ‘She knew it was just a pipe dream but indulged me. I was just a kid…’ Anakin rocked Obi-Wan slightly, feeling him squeeze his wrist again. Shmi had been smart, even if she had not been educated like a freeman would have been. She knew the expanse of the hutt empire.

She had seen the darkness of what slavery was and the shipping of power, weapons, drugs and bodies.

But she had been a good mother, indulged Anakin’s wishes, tried to foster hope… and when she had the chance to see him free, to see him of to something better, to rain and greenery… she hadn’t hesitated.

She wanted Anakin to be what their last name were.

Skywalker… it was a presumptuous last name for a slave, the implications of it…

Many slavers had watched them with narrowed eyes and slaves with both anger and hope.

‘But I did walk the sky, didn’t I… mother never made it, but I did. I flew through space, no shackle to my wrists or ankles and was free,’ Anakin smiled a tad more at that thought. ‘And I can teach others to walk the sky… and… maybe I can’t end slavery or free Tatooine… free mother… but I can free as many as possible and be better than I was.’

That was a good idea, a good feeling.

He hoped he could do it.

Anakin wanted to be better than he was before. Both Ahsoka and Obi-Wan made him better people… he had to be better for them.

Because just as Anakin had learned from Shmi Skywalker, they would learn from him.

‘…I have to be an example for them. I want to be a good example. Please Force, I want to be better for them.’ Anakin breathed deeply, letting out a soft noise of surprise as the rain abruptly ceased, a small ray of sun peeking through the clouds.

Symbolic?

Maybe… or just weather pattern.

Still, Obi-Wan’s little disappointed noise had him chuckling, squeezing his padawan tightly to his chest as he squirmed in protest.

In Fertile War, I’m really intrigued about how Obi-wan will deal with knowing it’s likely because he’s Stewjoni and not for himself that the clones are so fascinated with him. For someone that has never really been chosen first, that must be a hard blow. Can we see more about how Obi-wan reacts to that, and if the clones respond in anyway?

Pausing as there was a click, Obi-Wan lifted his head to see a steaming, half-full cup and a plate of food beside his elbow and quickly, he looked up at Commander Cody with surprise. “Commander?” He murmured.

The other smiled slightly at him, the familiar sense of hunger that often left Obi-Wan feeling discontent due to it being a stupid genetic thing still there but… overshadowed by other feelings.

Concern, fondness and a low level irritation.

“I know we have to finish up our reports sir, but you need to eat too,” The commander stated quietly, quickly raising his hand when Obi-Wan opened his mouth. “Please sir, the troopers would feel… better if you ate at least a little. We know Jedi can keep themselves going on the Force,” There was a twitch in his face, as if the man wanted to call bullshit and Obi-Wan had to admire that restraint. “But a small break for some food won’t be amiss… and the tea is caffeinated, to keep you awake.” He tacked on.

Obi-Wan paused at that, glancing longingly to the tea and almost letting out a whine of surprise when he took in what tea.

Krayt bean tea, it was massively stimulating and only to be consumed in small measures, only a cup a day to prevent a caffeine overdose. Anakin had gotten him damn addicted to the stuff, it had been the sole reason Obi-Wan had powered through studying for three exams and taking one in one day by drinking four cups.

He may also have tried to rub Yoda’s head while seemingly vibrating into a fourth dimension and supposedly he also repeated everything Yoda or Mace Windu said.

Oh and he also may have stripped naked and streaked into the Archives but that was tactfully not brought up too often by those who witnessed it.

Unless it was Anakin.

Anakin liked to hold it over his head and to playfully poke him in the ribs or rest his arms on top of Obi-Wan’s head while cheerfully reminding him of it.

Carefully, Obi-Wan pulled it towards him and looked up at Cody with wide eyes. “How did you…” Krayt bean tea was a very particular tea and very niche. You either enjoyed it or you hated it, no in between and due to so few enjoying it, most vendors didn’t carry it even among those that sold tea.

Cody smiled a tad sheepishly at that, rubbing at his temple scar. “I… well, apologies sir, but I may have been eavesdropping a tad on you and General Skywalker sir. You mentioned that this tea aided you when you were tired and Boil managed to get his hands on it during that scouting mission you sent him and his group out on.” Cody explained carefully, straightening in parade pose.

Clearly he expected to be reprimanded for the eavesdropping.

Technically Obi-Wan should, listening in on a superiors private conversation wasn’t polite or really legal.

But…

It brought a warmth to Obi-Wan’s chest, to know that Cody had listened and cared.

You didn’t have to care about someone to want to fuck them after all and this didn’t seem like a nice guy act. Obi-Wan had nice ‘guy’ acts from people expecting him to get down and dirty with them if they were nice to him.

This didn’t feel like it.

A glance to the tray had the warmth in his chest growing as he took in that not only had Cody taken in the information of the tea, he had also taken in Obi-Wan’s food preferences. An apple and cinnamon muffin, obviously from a rehydrated pack but still nice, a pear that looked slightly firm, just as he liked them, a cup of nuts, a slice of cheese and some ham.

Things Obi-Wan enjoyed, either because they were filling, had textures he enjoyed or as just a treat.

‘…This really doesn’t feel like just…’ Obi-Wan licked his lips, feeling a spike in the hungry feeling before Cody quickly pushed it back and Obi-Wan couldn’t help but wonder if there was more to at least Cody and maybe the rest of the 212th desires than just genetics.

Looking up at the other, Obi-Wan smiled, watching how Cody’s shoulder seemed to relax a tad, even as he kept his position. “Thank you Commander, this is really… you’re right. I should eat, set a good example.” He murmured.

Cody seemed to breath out in relief through his nose, but he said nothing, simply saluted and sat down on the other side of the desk. He got to work on the paperwork he had abandoned earlier to fetch Obi-Wan a meal.

Glancing at the selection of food, Obi-Wan blew on the tea and took a small sip, letting the fragrant tea slip over his tongue, leaving behind the familiar almost numbing sensation that turned into heat after a few seconds.

‘…Maybe its not just genetic,’ He wondered hopefully, biting at his bottom lip before reaching for the cup of nuts and the cheese. ‘Maybe… maybe there could be true emotions mixed in?’ Obi-Wan glanced at his commander, watching Cody diligently read over the pad, lips pursed thoughtfully.

Would it be so bad if he fell for someone that was already at least attracted to him?

Relationships were built with time.

‘So what if others are also attracted to me, its… its different when they actually care. And Jango Fett was one handsome devil, his clones were lucky with that for sure. Tack on a personality like Cody combined with actual care…’ Obi-Wan squirmed a tad in his seat, feeling a new heat low in his stomach.

A heat he wasn’t unfamiliar with but it had been a long time since he felt it last time.

‘Oh dear… oh dear, we have to keep this from Anakin for sure. I don’t need him hovering.’ Shyly ducking his head, Obi-Wan concentrated on eating, missing Cody glancing at him.

Missing how the man traced him with his eyes, how he focused on the slight flush of Obi-Wan’s cheeks and how he drew a deep, silent breath and forced himself to sit still.

Major stars- How does Obi-Wan handle hearing that Anakin knows? Is anyone else going to figure it out? Anakin isn’t really the best at keeping secrets…

His son knew him.

That was a… novel thought.

Even more novel was the sensation of having his son in his lap, his good arm wrapped around Anakin as the kid quietly read his homework. Occasionally, he’d stop and ask for Obi-Wan’s help for either words he didn’t understand or concepts that went a bit above his head.

The task of ones master really.

Yet, by the fond, soft look Qui-Gon was sporting as he watched the two interact as the man himself was tending to his plants, Qui-Gon didn’t mind that Anakin had gone to Obi-Wan for the help.

It was enough to make Obi-Wan smile shyly back at the man, watching Qui-Gon carefully clip his Kashyyyk climbing flowering vine into a manageable lengths, to prevent it from spreading out of its pot.

On the floor, Qui-Gon’s bright pink watering can, the flower nutrients pellets and a bin for the plant waste was stationed, in easy reach for the tall man to use on his hobby.

It was domestic and Obi-Wan couldn’t say he didn’t like it.

When Qui-Gon had told him, Obi-Wan hadn’t been sure what to feel.

A tad panicked, the sensation of fear and hope building so fast it made Obi-Wan dizzy.

The fact that Anakin had known for so long and yet not said anything did put some of Obi-Wan’s fear to the side though, the worry that someone would learn that Anakin knew and would inform the council, that Anakin would be reassigned by the council of reassignment.

Their son himself had put the other worries to rest.

Obi-Wan had worried Anakin would think they had abandoned him, had thought the boy might resent them a tad.

He hadn’t.

He still curled into Obi-Wan with eagerness, pressing his nose to Obi-Wan’s tunic, hugging him as tightly as he dared with Obi-Wan injured from his mission. No, Anakin loved them with all his heart.

Still, some fears remained.

He wanted Anakin to become a good knight, well, as long as that was what Anakin wanted. If their son wanted to join one of the corps or even leave, then Obi-Wan would support him. But those options were easier, Anakin had the skills to become quite the pilot, mechanic or any number of things.

But to become a Jedi knight, a certain… demeanor was required.

Obi-Wan worried the wouldn’t be able to teach Anakin that, that the love they had for their boy would lead to attachment.

Would lead to Anakin developing his own attachment.

Jedi were to love, to be compassionate… but love and attachment were different things.

To love with all their heart and yet to be able to let go, grieve but don’t let death or loss destroy you or your rage control you due to said love.

There were the healthy kind of love and the unhealthy kind and overwhelming emotions were not good for a Jedi. It could lead to a darker path, to the dark side whispering in your ear.

It could lead you to taking the wrong choice.

‘But we have to do our best, don’t we? We love our boy… and… and I don’t know if I’m strong enough now to walk away. I don’t think I’m strong enough to let him go either…’ Obi-Wan mulled over that.

He was worried, Obi-Wan didn’t want his love to turn selfish and problematic.

The only thing he wanted was for Anakin to become the best person he could be, to be happy with who he was, regardless what path he chose.

Pressing a soft kiss to the crown of Anakin’s head, he smiled a tad shakily as their boy made a happy noise and burrowed into Obi-Wan, ignoring Qui-Gon’s now slightly worried glance at him.

All Obi-Wan could do, was to be as good as possible, to make the decisions that seemed right and believe in the Force.

That was all he could do.

In AWOL Jedi, what’s going on with Fox and the Guard? Are they staying permanently or just waiting until things settle down before they nope on out of there?

Breathing out a sigh of contentment as he stared up into the blue sky, Cody couldn’t think of any place he’d want to be at that moment.

Laying shirtless on the grass in the sun, his arms tucked beneath his head as the warmth of the climate washed over him. It was the 212th week off from work, to rest and decompress from building and rotating another battalion over onto their work.

Around him, others had taken the same opportunity for some sunbathing, most troopers enjoying sprawling in the sun due to the lack of it on Kamino.

Kamino was generally always wet and cold, the sun only occasionally peeking out from the stormy sky and to be able to enjoy it on Vercopa.

Well, at least on the southern hemisphere, where the temple and their capital city was built.

The northern part was colder and so was the eastern, while west apparently had desert climate.

Cody had only been to the east and south, so he could only rely on the reports from the other towns about how it was there.

To be honest, Cody preferred staying in the south, near the Jedi temple.

Near Obi-Wan.

Talking about Obi-Wan…

Cody lifted his head a tad, looking around, relaxing when he found the Jedi sitting under in the shade of a tree with Helix, reading a novel.

They had, gently, bullied their Jedi to put on sunscreen and join them in their little trip out of the city to a grassy area, though it hadn’t really taken much coaxing to convince Obi-Wan to join them for the break. And Helix enjoyed keeping an eye on their Jedi, especially after the Coruscant visit, since Obi-Wan contracted some lung strain due to his weakened immune system.

All in all, it was a very nice sight.

“Fox is pissy.” A warm voice came from his left, Cody dropping his head back into his head to look, smirking at Rex as the man came over to sit down.

Apparently it was the 501st week break too, if Rex was here instead of working on the vegetable patches they had been assigned this month. “Oh?” Cody raised a brow, quietly wondering what the 501st month task would be.

He knew the 212th were going to be working on the hot spring that was going to be set up near the Jedi temple.

Actually, maybe the 501st would be working on the other hot spring in the city?

He knew there were plants for two.

Humming, fiddling with some grass, Rex nodded. “He’s so done dealing with the Senate. The longnecks apparently tried to get us back as ‘products’,” Rex snorted. “Until Organa pointed out that the vode were put under the purview of the Jedi by the Senate and therefore they had the right to remove us from Kamino.” He smirked at Cody.

Cody grimaced a tad, grateful for Organa’s intervention but the reminder that to many, they were simply ‘products’… well, it was never a comforting sensation.

“I think he’s jealous that he can’t just leave Coruscant.” He laughed.

Snorting, Cody could understand that, having to deal with all the Senate assholes and those that were against clones.

The Jedi had sent in a warning that the troopers would be leaving Coruscant to the Senate though, they had two months to find replacements for the guards. After all, the clones were under the Order’s purview, given to the Order by the very Senate.

It was delightful how that decision had come back to bite not only the Senate but also the longnecks in the arse.

Fair to Fox, having to stay there with those fatcats would be annoying, particularly the arrogant would be difficult, so Fox’s mood was understandable. “Can’t say I don’t get it, I’d be pissy too if it was me,” He smirked at the man, watching Rex lay down beside him on the grass. “…Where is Skywalker?” Cody couldn’t help but ask.

Ever since he had joined them, Rex rarely let Anakin out of his sight.

“Wanted to spend some quality time with Ahsoka and the twins,” Rex shrugged. “…Jesse is keeping an eye with them.” He admitted, smirking slightly at Cody’s raised brow.

Snorting, Cody nodded with understanding.

No trooper liked leaving their Jedi fully alone, there was always someone from the old GAR battalion with them, be it the commanders, a medic or one of the higher ranking troopers.

Always someone keeping an eye on them.

Especially the younglings or the ones that found trouble the most.

Anakin, and by extension his kids, were counted in the latter.

Turning his face back up to the sun, Cody let out a small hum as Rex settled to enjoy the sun with him, a soft breeze sweeping over them. ‘…I could never have imagined this in my training days as a cadet… and now I’m here… laying in the warm sun, my vode all around me and my Jedi comfortably reading under a tree…’ He couldn’t help but smile.

How strange life could be.

How… peaceful.
