I don’t know if you take prompts but you’re an amazing writer! If it’s possible, could I ask for a rexwalker short where theyre cuddling in bed?!? Just some sweet fluff :):):)

Shuffling slightly as he woke, Anakin paused as he felt a heavy arm over his waist along with sweaty, thick legs between his own.

For a long moment, his head aching, Anakin struggled to remember what the hell had happened last night… and then he relaxed, grunting slightly with relief.

Rex, it was Rex in his bed, Rex, who had gone with him out bar hopping, Rex, who had his arm around Anakin’s waist, Rex who was pressed against Anakin’s body in an uncomfortable sweaty sensation and yet Anakin couldn’t bring himself to pull away from the man.

Because it was so rare they got to share a bed without having to hurry to get up and get to work.

They were finally on Coruscant, having a small amount of rest, Obi-Wan having managed to talk the council into giving Anakin and the 501stan entire week on Coruscant by taking over the system Anakin was suppose to clean up.

Force, was Anakin grateful to Obi-Wan for that.

Ahsoka finally got a full week at the temple, got to work on some of her homework, got to feel normal and Anakin’s men got to decompress and spend time with his brothers.

And Anakin?

Anakin got to spend time with Rex, his captain happily following him out into the slums to Anakin’s favorite little bar hops that never cared who he brought as long as the tabs were paid.

Oh, Anakin had noticed a few of the patrons staring at Rex but no one had approached them, all of them aware who Anakin was and aware that the owner of the cantina was fond of him.

The nightclub later on didn’t care at all, the half shadows making everyone anonymity in the throng of the crowds and the beat of music.

It had been fun, a drunken, relaxing moment, wrapped up with Rex for once, letting go of being a war General and a Jedi to spend time with the person Anakin cared the most for outside of his family.

Because Rex wasn’t… well he was family of course but he was something…more.

Curiously though, Anakin didn’t quite remember how they managed to return to the temple after their fun and he rather hoped they hadn’t made a fool of themselves in front of the sentinels and the nocturnal Jedi but knowing himself, he’d likely make a scene anyhow that Rex had dragged him from to Anakin’s quarters and bed.

“I can feel you thinking,” Rex suddenly grumbled, his hand suddenly tightening around Anakin’s stomach to pull him more tightly to his chest, the sensation almost disgusting with the amount of sweat trapped between them. “Stop it, its too early.” He huffed into Anakin’s neck, the stubble of his face rubbing the skin.

Shuffling slightly, Anakin grumbled and moved until he could face the other, finding Rex squinting slightly at him, a furrow between his brows.

Likely a hangover too from the looks of it and Anakin couldn’t help but smile fondly as he reached up to gently thumb the others temple. “Headache?” He whispered, letting the quietness of the morning linger.

He got a grunt in response but Rex frown eased when Anakin lightly brought the Force to aid. Now, healing Force wasn’t Anakin’s best trait but he could ease out a small headache and heal some injuries.

Force knew he had enough time to practice that with master ‘I am not invincible but I will use myself as bait.’ Kenobi.

Headache mostly gone, Rex pushed forward until his face was buried in Anakin’s collarbone, sighing contently as he rewrapped his arm around the Jedi’s waist, hand finding the small of his back to pet.

Deciding he might as well deal with most of his own headache, Anakin reluctantly settled in to meditate it away, settling as Rex continued absently petting.

Honestly, it was sweaty, their skin were uncomfortably sticking to each other and Anakin could faintly smell the sourness of Rex breath along with a slight undertone of stale alcohol.

Yet he didn’t find it in himself to move away, feeling content despite it all as he lingered in Rex arms.

They could take a shower later.

How often did they get to just linger in bed.

Together, the two went back to sleep, curled into each other with sweaty, sticky skin and the promise of a quiet day in Anakin’s quarters.

JediAreCats: someone tries to take advantage of the Jedi’s instincts, and the clones with them retaliate with brutal force.  Preferably Mace and Ponds, although any other clones and Jedi are fine, too! 😄

Clicking on the video and starting it, this video of the ‘Jedi are cats’ episode opened up with a kel dor standing in what was clearly the landing bay of one of the Venators, a sight most familiar at this point to the fans watching the Jedi and clones shenanigans.

Around him, ships were parked, troopers were working or just milling about and the Jedi simply stood there in front of the camera in the familiar Jedi attire the man in question seemed to prefer.

Settling his claws together in a triangle, Plo Koon watched his men curiously as one was digging through a box and another was filming him. “I’m uncertain what this little experiment is suppose to prove Boost, but as always, I’m quite willing to play along as we’re not busy at the moment, seeing as we are in hyperspace at the moment.” The Jedi stated good naturally, his mask moving in a way that indicated he was smiling.

The audience had long gotten used to several of the Jedi’s facial expression and Plo Koon was one of the easiest ones to read, always coming of as sincere and calm to the people watching.

“Its just something I read about on the holonet sir, a few of the people of the Republic had a question and wondered… well, its just a little experiment, won’t take more than a few minutes really sir.” The clone, Boost, apparently, stated cheerfully.

Several text bubbles, clearly comments on the videos before, popped up on screen, all containing a version of ‘my feline will sit in any square I put down in our home, taped, drawn or otherwise. Do Jedi follow this instinct?’

Finally, Boost found what he was looking for and stepped into view fully, showing that he was a mostly generic looking clone from the looks of things, however, his hair was red and was shaven into blocks, giving him a unique hairstyle.

In the trooper’s hand, a roll of black tape was held as he made his way over and knelt down, his Jedi tilting his head curiously to watch him work. Slowly and steadily, the man laid down tape, making first a meter long stripe and then another and another, moving around the Jedi until the man was standing in a taped of square of black tape on the durasteel floor.

Then Boost stood, grinning slightly as he swung the tape on a finger. “Well then sir, have at. That’s all I’m required to do.” The man stated with a small chuckle.

Plo, bemused, stared at the trooper, looked down… and then started laughing quietly too. “Oh I see, this is the box conundrum, isn’t it?” He stated with a deeply satisfied tone at seemingly having figured it out.

“The… box conundrum, sir?” The clone behind the camera questioned, Boost visibly pouting at his General as the experiment seemed to be a flop.

Plo however, nodded, turning his smile on the man behind the camera. “Indeed Sinker, the younglings back at the temple often do this with the temple tookas. Its to make them sit still long enough to approach them and build bonds,” He gestured down at the taped of area around him. “Felines are naturally curious, they know their territories well and any differences… well, it is a cause for curiosity, to be explored. Many of them will settle into the area to explore it. I imagine the public thought that might be the same for Jedi?” He turned his head to Boost.

The trooper nodded, sighing as he typed something down on a pad before kneeling down to remove the tape. “Yes sir, seeing so many questions about it, we figured we could test it. Its a harmless little thing after all.” He tacked on, grinning a tad.

Laughing, Plo reached out and gently patted Boost on the head. “Indeed,” He stated, ignoring how Boost seemed to still at the touch and lean into it. “It does however not work on us. Or well, that is a lie, some of the younglings in the creche, it will work on them. But as we grow older, we loose that instinct.” Plo stated warmly, stepping out of the square being dismantled, the last view was a softly smiling Boost as he continued cleaning up.

Underneath the video, a ton of comment came up, from the soft awws of seeing Boost reaction, those wanting to defend Boost little smile and then the massive amount going, ‘TEMPLE TOOKAS!? ADSAFDSFDSF!?’

Sufficient to say, there were more questions after that.

omg i love the idea of stimulation tools for lil adhd obi! can we see some more fluff like this?!💙

Pressing the straw to his padawan’s lips, Qui-Gon chuckled quietly as the boy thirstily drank, eyes wide as they peered up at Qui-Gon as he sucked greedily. “Water first, then I’ll see about getting you a soda, alright?” He murmured fondly, giving Obi-Wan a slightly sterner look when a whine escaped him.

That quieted him down and he focused on clearing the cup of water instead.

Obi-Wan had woken up only half an hour ago, the nurses and medics checking him over before declaring that they wanted the boy to stay overnight before they released him, just in case. In the meantime, Qui-Gon had been encouraged to have Obi-Wan drink and rest and for the trip back to the temple, keep resting and drinking.

Obi-Wan however had an issue drinking water at times, it had to be ice cold before Obi-Wan drank it without fuss generally but right now, Qui-Gon was uncompromising.

A cup of water and then his padawan could have flavored drinks.

Back a the temple, in their own kitchen, they generally had several types of concentrates to create their own flavored drinks, mostly fruit related ones, to ensure Obi-Wan drank something beyond tea as too much caffeine wasn’t great on a growing body.

It was the healers that had suggested the flavored concentrates and frankly, Qui-Gon didn’t mind.

He sometimes indulged in them too but generally stuck to clear water or tea.

Obi-Wan however was different and Qui-Gon had understood that, therefore stocked appropriately, be it the foods Obi-Wan favored on special days or be it the liquids required to ensure his hydration along with the fidget toys to keep him occupied.

Finally the cup was empty and Qui-Gon set it aside, gently running his hand over his padawan’s short hair with a small smile. “Well done Obi-Wan, I know that wasn’t the best but I’m proud of you.” He murmured, knowing how important positive reinforcement was for the other.

Pushing into the touch, Obi-Wan preened slightly, smiling shyly up at him. “Now can I get a soda?” He asked quietly.

Reaching into his robes, pulling out Obi-Wan’s fidget cube and pressing it into his hands, Qui-Gon nodded. “Of course, just give me a few minutes. The drinks machine is down the hall and rather busy, so it will take me a few minutes. Do you have a preference?” He questioned.

Pausing, flickering the button on his fidget cube, Obi-Wan furrowed his brows before looking up, shaking his head. “Not really but something fruity would be best.” The boy stated, curled up in the medbed, looking so much smaller for it.

Nodding, stroking his hand over the short spikes once more, Qui-Gon turned and headed out of the room, breathing deeply.

He was so relieved that despite the injuries he received, Obi-Wan didn’t seem worse for wear. Simply tired, somewhat antsy and a bit bored, as anyone would be in a medical facility.

Qui-Gon was doing his best to filter and block the normal miasma of pain and discomfort echoing in the Force in the medical center and so far, it seemed to be working as Obi-Wan rested properly.

It could also be the painkillers he guessed but many Jedi, Obi-Wan among them, never rested well in medical facilities, the general state of people in search of healing, of people dying and despair often echoing in the Force around them.

Even the Halls in the temple had remains of it, despite the Healers doing their best to purify the Force there.

With Obi-Wan’s sensitivity, coupled with his ADHD, Qui-Gon had worried…

Well, they were getting out of the facility tomorrow and back at the temple, Yan would be waiting for them.

He was actually nervous about that, he wasn’t sure what Yan would say about Obi-Wan once he meet him and it had been such a long time since he himself had seen his old master… but, well, Yan had been briefed about Obi-Wan’s condition.

For all their sakes, Qui-Gon hoped it would go well.

so i am 100% just making my way through your aphorisint masterlist right now and valiantly resisting asking for more of like, a million different things?? but if you had any more of Theheelytrick , then that would be… absolutely lovely 👁 it gave me some real good giggles, ngl

Trying not to crack up laughing as people were giving themselves whiplashes as he walked by peacefully, Obi-Wan had to give it to Anakin. He was right that taking a day of from his wheels and walking around instead was making everyone even more confused than before even if the reason the other had suggested it was for Obi-Wan’s ankle to get a rest.

Instead of laughing as he desired, he simply gave people a peaceful smile and nod as he walked by them to the refractory to meet his former padawan and their shared padawan.

Ahsoka gave him a long look as he came towards them, looking like someone had forcibly feed her a lemon with how her lips puckered.

Anakin’s eyes however glittered in obvious joy as he beamed at him. “Obi-Wan! Right on time, we need to eat and then get going.” He stated cheerfully, pulling both of them to the queue behind a staring twi’lek.

The lady jumped a bit when Obi-Wan smiled at her and quickly gave an awkward smile back before turning back around to the front but even as she did, Obi-Wan could read her expression going, ‘what the hell, what the hell, what the HELL!?’.

After weeks and weeks of Obi-Wan gliding everyone, seeing him walk around normally for prolonged minutes was apparently disturbing them now and he wanted to so badly to crack up and fess up to what he was doing.

He was going to soon of course but… honestly, just a bit more.

Just a few more weeks of delightfully fucking around with people until he told them it was just wheels in his damn boots.

Well, not these particular ones.

Since he had karked his ankle up the day before, Anakin had carefully wrapped his ankle for him and dug out an older but low cut pair of boots that belonged to Obi-Wan, the small ankle boots not as tight with the bandage due to their wear and tear.

Thankfully, despite aching a bit as he put his weight on his ankle, it didn’t outright hurt enough for him to be limping around.

Grabbing a tray and lifting a spiced dish onto his tray quickly, Obi-Wan gave a happy noise. “Stewjoni spiced vegetable stew, the new supplies must have come in.” He beamed happily, quickly grabbing another small roll of traditional bread roll, the scored x in the top along with the telling blue tinge informing it was made with the proper grains.

Beside him, Ahsoka made a low noise of realization. “That’s right, your home planet don’t trade much with outsiders, do they?” She peered up at him.

Absently noting that she would soon be able to look him straight in the eyes with how she was growing like a weed, Obi-Wan nodded. “Stewjon is controlled space, they are isolationist by nature. Its a miracle they’re willing to trade with the Jedi temple really but that may be because we have a few members originally from Stewjon,” He stated warmly, grabbing another offering of traditional food. “A few members leave on their own but… yeah, outside of the Senator and her aide and a few scattered restaurants on Coruscant, Stewjoni don’t leave their space.” He hummed, thinking about to the one time he had visited his home planet.

He missed Ahsoka giving him a long, considering look as she swiped a meat forward plate of food. “Do Stewjon have Force organizations of their own?” She ventured, seemingly holding her breath as Anakin gave her a bemused look.

“Hmm? Oh, yes. Quite a few actually. They’re minor but powerful in their own right but some parents tend to give their children to the Jedi.” Obi-Wan answered absently, missing once more as Ahsoka gave Obi-Wan’s feet a considering look, as if she was trying to connect pieces of out information that weren’t there.

She wasn’t the only one, several Jedi whispering to each other.

Was Stewjon where Obi-Wan’s newfound powers came from?

Would you consider publishing a frank talk on here too? You can take this as a prompt if you want but I’d like to find it on tumblr too, its actually easier for me to get on tumblr than AO3 due to my family.

Setting the systems into autopilot now that their location was set, Boba glanced at Shand in the co-pilot seat, giving her slight head tilt, a signal to make herself scarce.

She gave him a look in return but still got up, heading down the ladder.

With her gone, Boba took a deep but silent breath and turned his chair fully, tilting his back to look up at the still as a statue mando standing behind him, visor locked on the beams of hyperlights outside the cockpit view.

Boba quietly observed him for a moment, mentally cataloging what he could see without the other moving.

Shoulders held high but chin tilted down, arms hanging down his sides but leather covered hands bunched into fists, a slump to his spine…

From the short moments they had interacted, Boba was pretty certain he already had a read on the other man but this could go possibly, horribly wrong. Still, he sat up in his chair, on purpose making more noises than he normally would, just to watch the man twitch, attention drawn away from the view to Boba.

If he wasn’t so used to reading helmets, he wouldn’t have been able to tell the other was looking at him. “You took a few nasty shots back on Tython,” Boba stated, ignoring how the other tensed. “I got a medical case up here. I’m gonna turn this chair around and when I turn back, you’re going to have undressed enough for me to take care of it, ru’suvari?” He tacked on the mando as sternly as he could, watched how the other suddenly grew taunt as a wire threatening to snap.

For a moment, Boba wondered if the other was going to punch him.

Might even have deserved it, Boba was gambling as he kept his face stern, peering up at the beroya.

It worked though, the other went lax, even his hands dropping open as he nodded quietly.

“Jate.” Boba pretended not to see how the other jerked to attention at the mando’a but put it to mind as he turned his chair, staring at the lights streaming outside, waiting.

He heard the soft shifts of the other moving, the clack of his spear being placed to the wall, the light clicks of armor latching being undone and the clear clang of beskar being set down along with soft hisses when the beroya shifted in a way that pained him.

Boba had to clench his hands down on the arms of his chair to avoid turning, taking deep, measured breaths through his nose to keep calm.

As a young man, he hadn’t been soft, hadn’t been kind.

Compassionate.

The galaxy had made him a hard man, the death of his father and his stint in prison and later on working for the Imperials and Vader in particular had sealed the deal on that hardness. It was what had allowed him to survive as long as he had.

Even when he had broken out of the prison and wiped the terminal for his record, when he had found the deep voice of Mace Windu on his folder, advocating for Boba, advocating for the child to be sent rehabilitation at a youth facility, advocating for leniency.

It had been denied.

The Jedi had tried to advocate for Boba, only to be denied.

It was such a strange thought and Boba had remembered just standing there, staring at the screen for a long few moments before finally wiping every trace of Boba Fett from the Republic’s systems.

Don’t get him wrong, he still hated Mace Windu with a passion that rivaled suns for the death of his father.

But… hearing an enemy, a man that he had earnestly tried to murder even at a young age, plead for leniency for Boba…

It had struck a cord, a cord he carried with him but buried during the age of the Empire. Sympathizing with Jedi only brought danger at the worst and trouble at the best in those days.

After the sarlacc…

The kindness of the tuskens had been what saved Boba, the Black Krayt clan taking him in and caring for him. Apparently surviving a karking sarlacc earned him respect enough for them to help him and later on him being actually willing to learn from them, not just their language but their ways.

Without them, Boba would have died under the suns of Tatooine.

Escaping the sarlacc had been one thing, the acid and the time inside it leaving him weak, his mind broken and rattled and his body wasted, the suns and the heat would have been another matter.

Boba knew he wasn’t the same person regardless, coming out of there.

Compassion and kindness had saved him, had resonated with that old voice that had tried to give Boba leniency.

It resonated now, with this bounty hunter that had given him back his father’s armor. With this man, who had lost his Force sensitive son, who had been ready to fight and defend the armor only to give it back when proof of its ownership had been shown.

And even more so, the other man was a mandalorian.

Something old and almost forgotten by Boba, something associated with his father, shiny beskar so bright and noticeable that Boba had no choice but to remember his buir and the words the man had taught him.

Had the other had blue on his armor with the silver, Boba might have had a small heart attack.

“You can look.” The gravelly, modulated voice came.

Boba turned his chair and couldn’t help the hiss of sympathy that escaped between his teeth as he got a good look, the other having removed his chest piece, pauldrons and cape, his upper kute opened and pulled down, the arms and chest hanging down the back of his arse and legs.

The mandalorian was covered in dark red bruises, the edges already turning purple and some of blaster shots had hit hard enough for there to be bloody edges. They looked vicious and Boba got to his feet, his spurs making a methodical sound on the durasteel as he moved around the other man, quietly cursing himself as he had to stand on his toes to get to the medical pack in the upper cabinet. ‘I’m moving this kark to the bottom.’ He thought with annoyance.

If he was injured himself, reaching for this kark would be a bitch and a half.

He glanced back to the man, finding that the other bounty hunter had turned with him, keeping him in view. Most likely unwilling to give Boba his back just yet.

‘Tough shit, he’s gonna have to at some point.’ Boba snarked internally.

He knew the other had taken a few hits to the back. “Sit. It will make things easier on both of us.” He motioned to the pilot seat, watching as the other sat down gingerly after a moment of hesitation.

Boba didn’t take it personally.

Clearly, this man was used to being hunted, vigilant and untrusting of those around him.

Not a healthy way of living.

Cracking open the case, Boba stationed it on the ledge of the dashboard so he could rifle through it easier as he removed his gloves first.

Then he bought out the cleaning antibacterial wipes, a bacta tube and the bruising cream.

Quietly he set to work, ignoring how the other was pressing back into seat, the tense muscles trembling under his fingers as he worked. ‘Touch starvation…’ Boba mused, even as he tried to ignore it.

What he couldn’t ignore was how slim the other really was under the armor, the cauterized scars he could see, the trim waist…

Hell, whoever called this man for cyare was a lucky shabuir.

A snatched waist like that, coupled with the muscles that proved his profession and proved him as an ambush predator more than a power tank… well, it was something Boba would have pursued doggedly back at Jabba’s palace.

Someone to blow the stress and pressure away with.

Made him curious about what was under the helmet if he was very honest.

But right now, Boba mind was on providing relief for a lost man, a man that hadn’t asked for help.

Maybe the other didn’t expect aid, maybe he was so used to the galaxy turning on him that he didn’t think any would be offered without a price.

It was a depressing thought for someone as honorable as this man and Boba couldn’t help but let his fingers linger on the edge of a pink cauterized scar with rich dark skin around it, wondering mentally about it.

Self punishment or lack of bacta?

As reckless as this man had behaved, flying into the mouth of a damn krayt dragon, letting the shots of blasters hit him…

Boba would guess the latter unfortunately. “…Risking yourself needlessly is a dangerous business,” He stated quietly, feeling the man tense up. “Your foundling needs you, leaving him without anyone if you were to march ahead of him.” He stated intently.

The other said nothing for long minutes as Boba put bacta then bruise cream to injured areas. “…I know…I just…” The other tilted his head back against the pilot chair, looking at the ceiling. It gave Boba the curious view of a long line of throat with dark stubble, the bobbing of an adam’s apple as the other man swallowed.

Boba continued working as the other continued staring at the ceiling. “I won’t tell you to stop. But for the future, when we get him back,” When, not if and Boba could feel the other stare at him at the choice of words, at the coinfidence in them. Boba just couldn’t imagine this man doing anything but succeeding. “You will need to be more careful beroya.” Boba reached for the gauze in the case.

“…Djarin,” He almost dropped the gauze, head snapping back to the other bounty hunter, his own body tense. The other cleared his throat slightly, almost nervous like, his hands tapping at the arms of the seat. “My name, its… Djarin.”

Staring at the other, understanding what he was given as the other was a Child of the Watch, Boba slowly nodded. “Su cuy’gar Djarin, ni cuy’ Fett.” He stated quietly, watching as Djarin slowly relaxed his hands on the arms of the seat.

Carefully, telegraphing his movements, he reached up to take the others shoulder, pulling Djarin forward slowly. “…I’m going to take a look at your back now, check if it needs salve to. Tayli’bac?” Boba stated softly, waiting until he got a small nod.

With that permission, granted easier than he thought possible, Boba moved until he was beside the chair, looking down at the dark expanse of the other’s back, breath catching at the display of muscles.

He was damn lucky the other couldn’t see his face right now.

There were bruises there, not as many or as dark as the ones in the front though.

It seemed Djarin’s chest had taken most of the punishment.

Nodding to himself, Boba moved to in front of him again and bent slightly down, carefully wrapping the gauze around the other bounty hunters chest and the top of his stomach, to prevent the salve and bacta from smearing everywhere.

This also brought him closer to the other, his breath washing over Djarin’s bare shoulder as he worked.

He noted goosebumps rising as he worked, the others hands once more digging into the arms of the chair.

Touch starvation could be a hell of a thing unfortunately.

Boba had to fight the urge to linger, instead straightening and patting the other lightly on the shoulder. “Jate, that should be better. Got some analgesic patch you could use.” He stated quietly.

Djarin slowly got this feet, hesitated then nodded, accepting a patch that he put on himself, Boba watching the other apply it to his upper arm.

Maybe after the child was rescued, maybe something could be done about that touch starvation.

Maybe.

I was wondering about AWOL Jedi and if there will be any AniRex.

Stroking the blond curls slowly, Rex wondered if he had ever felt happier than in this very moment, a sleeping Anakin with his head in Rex lap, still on the couch of the 501st’s break house with everyone having skedaddled… somewhere.

Rex wasn’t sure where.

He just knew that they had promised to look after the twins, enthusiastically telling Anakin that the twins deserved some ‘uncle and auntie’ time before disappearing with the baby bags of items for the kids, leaving Rex and Anakin.

Initially nervous, clearly a tad overwhelmed despite leaving the twins with others before, Anakin had stared at the door they had disappeared at for a while before Rex had gently drawn the other into a conversation about speeders.

Easiest way to distract Anakin Skywalker?

Talk about tech.

Seeing as at the current moment they were having a minor issue of there not being enough speeders, it had been the right choice as Anakin was enthusiastically telling Rex all about the speeders and motors he was currently fixing.

The Jedi council had managed to find the other a job he would like, mechanic, as Anakin didn’t have an interest in rejoining the Jedi order seemingly, Ahsoka certainly did not, she spent her time generally helping out. But maybe Anakin had already joined?

Just not as a Jedi Knight?

Rex wasn’t sure and he hadn’t had time to ask before Anakin had winded down, becoming tired. Noticing, Rex had guided the other to his lap and told him to rest with a quiet voice despite Anakin apologizing.

Babies were demanding, being a single parent, even with so many people willing to babysit and help, was exhausting and Anakin deserved the rest.

Stars, he had missed his General and sitting here, playing with the man’s hair as he slept was soothing.

Seeing him safe, seemingly content and here, with them.

Though it hurt to consider just how lonely the other must have been on Coruscant. But there was nothing Rex could have done about that or about his General.

Honestly, he was rather sure that back then, had they approached Anakin, he would have blown the plan wide open and informed the Senate in a fit of thoughtlessness. He adored his General, loved him but… Anakin could sometimes be too impulsive.

It could be a boon on the battlefield, against droids that adapted to tactics and battles, it kept them from realizing what was going on and giving the GAR the upperhand. But in normal life… well, sometimes not so good.

Now they didn’t have to think of that, now Anakin was here and… single.

Rex flushed at the thought, looking away as he swallowed thickly.

Kark, just because the other was single didn’t mean he had any interest in males and certainly didn’t mean any interest in Rex.

‘Its enough to just be his friend, enough to be there for him, to hear his voice, to know he’s here… I won’t ask for more. I don’t want to loose what we have.’ Rex thought shakily. He could love the other without that kind of relationship.

As long as Anakin and his kids were happy… that was all Rex needed, to see the other blond smile.

The thought had his lips twitching, a slightly wry smile coming to life. ‘When did I get that sappy?’ He couldn’t help but wonder as he looked back down at Anakin, stroking a fingertip gently along the other’s jaw. ‘How are you able to make me turn so sappy?’ Rex thought was exasperated and yet… also fond.

Settling in, Rex simply watched Anakin sleep, content in the moment with what he had and the life he was trying to build.

For Lupinecopper can we see more of maul adjusting to the temple more?

Sitting down gingerly on the dry land, Maul looked around the water garden with quiet awe, unable to keep his attention on the Jedi master in front of him. Not that he was concerned, Obi-Wan wasn’t far away from them, showing Anakin how to swim as the desert child hadn’t learned that particular skill.

However, if anything was to happen, Obi-Wan would come and intervene, of that Maul was sure. Obi-Wan took his job as alpha of their little pack seriously and had already intervened twice when knights had gotten too rowdy with Maul in the hall.

The human had even growled, bared his fangs in human form before informing the knights that if they had an issue, Obi-Wan would be happy to inform the council of the knights trepidation to Maul’s presence among them.

A lot of Jedi had gone silent after that, though quiet hostility and resentment still lingered even if no one did anything too obviously.

The kel dor didn’t feel hostile though, not like many other Jedi were.

He didn’t even seem frightened, though that could be his shields in place.

So Maul could continue to marvel at the water garden from Mon Cala.

Maul had traveled the galaxy on Sidious orders, done many horrific things and many common things but he never just got the chance to… stop.

Sit down and enjoy the scenery.

In the Jedi temple, between following Obi-Wan around, working out, doing chores… there wasn’t much else to do, though Obi-Wan had been encouraging Maul to find a hobby or two to do. But to sit and just enjoy the peace…

It wasn’t something Maul had gotten to do and to do it now, especially in a water garden, rivers, ponds and even waterfalls all around him with little ‘islands’ of dry places to sit. Most of the vegetation was of course underwater, since this was a garden based on Mon Cala fauna but here and there, plants grew up on top of the surfaces.

Large lily pad like flowers, bowl shaped leaves, the floating what looked like kelp, lotuses, something that looked like cattails at the edges of the water and so on and forth.

For all the blue, the splashes of green, pink, white and golden yellow broke the scheme of blue apart, and it was beautiful.

Maul liked it.

“Its very peaceful here, isn’t it.” The kel dor stated.

Maul hummed in agreement, tilting his head to look across the water to watch the two humans for a bit, Obi-Wan carefully hold around Anakin’s midsection, gently instructing him to kick with his legs.

“The flowing water always reminds me that everything is in motion.” The man continued and Maul glanced at him, blinking slightly as he took in that the other was settled with his feet tucked under him instead of sitting in lotus position like Maul was.

‘Won’t his legs grow numb quicker like that?’ He couldn’t help but wonder. “…Is that a reference to me?” Maul questioned a tad tiredly, settling his hands in his lap. Coming to the temple, Maul had realized that one thing the rest of the galaxy had correct… was that the Jedi often spoke in fucking metaphors.

His question had the kel dor chuckling. “You, the future, me, everything my boy,” The Jedi turned his head to look at Obi-Wan and Anakin. “There was a time that many thought Obi-Wan would not become a Jedi due to his nature. Even now there are discrimination towards him, even in the temple. And yet here he is, one of our best, it reminds me that there is always things in motion, that for all the rocks thrown in a river, the water will flow.” He hummed.

Glancing back at the humans, Maul frowned. He hadn’t noticed anyone being obviously ill mannered towards Obi-Wan, but maybe that was just it, as an outsider, Maul just couldn’t see it?

Maybe that was it.

At least this kel dor was friendly. ‘His name is… Plo Koon, right?’ He glanced back at him. He was pretty sure the man was a council master and it was clear he had favorable opinions on Maul’s alpha.

That was good, it was clear that even among Jedi, werewolves weren’t an easy subject. So having someone in power as support could make things easier.

‘…Maybe I’ll tell them about Sidious… or he’ll make it difficult for us all…’ Maul mused quietly, looking at the flows of water around them, his eyes drawn back to the humans when Anakin’s Force aura suddenly spiked with mischievousness as he stood up in a shallow of the water, still up to his waist.

Suddenly the boy jerked, sending a spray of water up at the alpha, Obi-Wan spluttering loudly and Maul felt himself hold his breath, waiting.

Waiting for this to be it.

For Obi-Wan to show his true nature… and then the his alpha laughed, splashing Anakin in return with gentle hand waves.

The sound of Anakin laughing suddenly as he splashed Obi-Wan blotted out the sounds of the waterfalls for a long minute or two and Maul felt his lips reluctantly twitch into a smile as Obi-Wan laughed and played along.

He could feel the kel dor, Koon, watching both him and his humans but couldn’t bring himself to take his eyes of Obi-Wan and Anakin. ‘My… my pack. My little pack.’

Could we see more AWOL Jedi please? Maybe Anakin reconnecting with his men / Rex, and them realizing how lonely / how bad things became on Coruscant. Thank you for sharing so many wonderful stories with us! 💜

Nodding his thanks to Jinx as the vod put down a basket of fruit, Rex turned his eyes to Anakin, frowning slightly at a sudden thought that hit him. “I’m rather surprised that Senator Amidala hasn’t kicked up a bigger fuss about her kids being here.” Rex stated thoughtfully as he watched Anakin finish of the last of his water.

It had been the topic of some late bunk conversations for a few days actually and Rex knew, coming over a few gossip circles, that the Jedi too were a bit bemused by it. Everyone knew Senator Amidala after all, she was a determined and powerful woman, one you didn’t easily dismiss.

Rex had a lot of respect for her, she had always been a voice for good.

His words quieted some of the conversation of the other 501st in the house, his voice carrying enough.

Anakin however didn’t seem to realize, he only let out a bitter snort. “Maybe she would have, if she had a leg to stand on.” He stated wryly, kicking his legs out in front of him and setting his empty glass down on the caff table.

When their former Jedi had come to visit the 501st in their… well, Rex wasn’t sure what to call it but every battalion had their own headquarters or barracks so to speak now. It was generally a house, a few floors depending on how big the battalion was, a place to stretch their legs, talk, do their hobbies and have fun.

Technically a ‘break room’ situation so to speak, only it was a house instead, with rooms dedicated to rest, eating if they wanted and didn’t go to the larger cantinas to eat with other battalions or Jedi, hobby rooms and so on.

Often though, others visited them at the headquarters, trading food stuffs and so on.

It was nice, a place for the battalions to stretch their wings so to say, their own space for… well, whatever they wanted, just like the homes they had.

Anakin was the first Jedi, because he’d always be a Jedi to them, to visit the 501st and Rex couldn’t help a proud kernel in his stomach at the admiring look their Jedi threw around the first break room that meet them, filled with couches, caff table, a few fridges and lots of beanbags.

He had been even more impressed with the selection of drinks and snack foods he had been offered.

Now though, Rex regretted not offering the other something stronger as the blond gave his glass a bitter look. “…What do you mean sir?” Rex ventured carefully.

When the other just mutely stared at the glass, Rex shifted of the couch and moved around the table to sit down with Anakin instead, peering at the other man with a small frown on his face. “…Told you to call me Anakin… quite a few times actually.” He finally sighed, glancing at Rex.

Peering back steadily, Rex reached out slowly at Anakin’s slumped shape, settling his hand on the others shoulder. “Then… what did you mean Anakin?” He prompted carefully.

Settling back against the couch, Anakin tilted his head to peer up at the ceiling. “…When the Jedi left Coruscant…” He started slowly, frowning as if in pain. “I figured out just what was most important to Padme… and it wasn’t me or the kids…” He answered lowly, hands clenched into the fabric of his pants.

Slowly, with careful prompting, Rex got the story out of Anakin.

The days of isolation, of the Senator disappearing to the Senate for so long that not even Anakin saw her for days, of only the staff being around, of Anakin discovering that without the Jedi around, he was isolated to only his wife and the few friends he had managed to make among her fellow Senators.

Even then, that weren’t many, due to how Anakin had no interest for politics for one and due to the difference in life.

Anakin had been a slave and then he was a Jedi and a soldier, his life wasn’t pampered like many Senators. His life had been brutal, steady and hard, which made it difficult for him to connect to people like the soft handed senators with only a few exceptions.

It stunned Rex to the core, to realize that after they left, Anakin had been virtually friendless and he couldn’t help but reach out and pull his Jedi into a hug, clinging to the man, realizing that just like the 501st had missed Anakin… Anakin had missed them just as much.

Long arms wrapped around him in turn, the grip tight, as if Anakin couldn’t get enough of the hug and was terrified Rex was going to pull away.

He wouldn’t and Rex simply pressed his hand to the others back. “Its alright. You’re here now. We’re here. You can’t get rid of us that easily.” He whispered, looking up to find Echo and Jesse standing at their side, their hands joining Rex on Anakin’s back to gently rub, faces drawn in worry.

Their Jedi let out a soft, hiccuping noise and simply buried his head in Rex shoulder, hands fisting the back of his shirt.

“You can’t get rid of us.” Rex repeated quietly into curly blond hairs.

I just finished the most recent update to dangerous galaxy (I’m late, I know) and wow. The Jedi are finally safe, no one is going to hurt them again. But there’s probably still so much that they’re dealing with. The commanders and Rex still have to make sure their commanders are safe, and they may have taken out the worst of the senators, but there’s still the rest of the senate to handle and the new dynamic that exists between the Jedi and the clones. How are the Jedi and their now, I guess former, commanders handling all that aftermath and cody’s injuries/new status

Grumbling tiredly as he surveyed the administration work, Cody rubbed at his temples gingerly even as Helix gave him a warning look. The medic, Helix in particular, had been on him like a burr on a bantha since the conquering of Coruscant, due to him becoming as injured as he did.

Nothing too straining or physical, which meant that Cody was left with a lot of paperwork.

So much.

He could delegate it of course, there were lots of troopers around, Fox was always willing to lend a hand and the mix of vode on Coruscant kept everything running and everyone at ease.

Seeing as outside of the Senators, no one got targeted and after Cody had literally gone on holo tv to show the proof of the Senate’s corruption and especially their Chancellor… well, people were quiet.

There were a few riots of course, a few less than flattering news reports and grumblings but Cody would take that.

The Coruscant Guards knew how to handle the people here and right now they also had the help of 212th and 501st, keeping everything at ease and orderly.

No major burning fires.

There were of course a few natborn officers that didn’t… listen, but those had also been taken care of.

The Venator had a brig for a reason after all, for those that didn’t get shoved out airlocks after a blast in the head.

Not all the natborns were terrible, they were just against clones and didn’t see them as people. ‘…Maybe I should just tell them to release them into the airlocks anyhow.’ Cody mentally grumbled to himself.

Thankfully, the vode outnumbered any natborn officers on any ship and the Jedi always sided with the troopers. Or that was the reports Cody had gotten from various factions keeping their foothold to keep the CIS from taking over.

So far, things were… well, not easy but going according to plan.

An unexpected thing had been a message directly from Dooku, a request to talk.

Cody was leery about that but he was also interested.

Now that the truth of Palpatine had come out and the fact that the entire war had been engineered by the man…

Well, Cody wasn’t the Senate, mid-rims and outer-rims planet would have a better chance with the vode than with the Senate as it was before. But they’d have to see where that went, if the planets reached out at all.

So much work to do and Cody was bored out of his mind by all of it.

Damn, if he could just get one of those giant iced latte things that Skywalker occasionally had…

“Sir, there’s a guest for you here.” Cody looked up from the terminal, blinking blearily at a smiling Waxer as the trooper stood in the door of the office they had picked out for work, one perfectly suited close to the Coruscant Guards but still in the Senate.

“A guest, who the kar-” Cody felt the words die in his mouth as a brown robed man stepped past Waxer and into the temporary office of the head of the Republic.

It was Obi-Wan, Obi-Wan had come to see him.

A smiling Obi-Wan, a happy Obi-Wan, an Obi-Wan without bruises and dark circles beneath his eyes. Hell, Obi-Wan was almost glowing in the apricot colored light coming in through the window, the sinking sun coloring the sky with its rays.

He was beautiful, standing there and Cody felt himself stand automatically, despite his loss for words. He hadn’t expected to see any Jedi, seeing as he was in the Senate.

He had thought, now that they were free, that they’d avoid this place like it was hell on earth as it had been to many of the Jedi.

But here Obi-Wan was, looking healthy for once in the three years they had been at all this and he was right in front of Cody. “Commander Cody,” Obi-Wan greeted fondly, smiling playfully as bowed lightly in greeting. “Or is it Vod’alor Kote now?” He teased gently as he straightened.

“For you,” Cody rasped, limping slightly towards Obi-Wan, noting those green eyes turn worried as the Jedi quickly moved towards him to meet him in the middle. “For you General Kenobi, its always Cody.” He stated, clearing his throat slightly as Obi-Wan gingerly touched his elbow.

He still smiled. “Then I’m Obi-Wan for you. Are you better? Your eye doesn’t seem to have retained damage…” Obi-Wan glanced worriedly over him.

“Healer Che is a damn miracle worker,” Helix spoke up from the couch he was sitting at, Obi-Wan turning to him instantly to pay attention. “Our Vod’alor is gonna need rest, his leg will most likely hurt on bad days and he’ll most likely have tinnitus his life out, but he can see and hear properly. Something I was sure he wouldn’t be able to.” Helix shook his head.

The answer had Obi-Wan’s shoulder sinking, relaxing as he turned back to Cody with a relieved smile on his lips. “Oh, that’s good to hear. I wasn’t certain when I asked the Halls to send a healer for you but… I’m glad it worked out.” He stated softly.

Cody swallowed thickly, staring at how the sun shone in Obi-Wan’s hair.

Kark, why did his General have to be so good.

Compassionate and kind.

If it was just simple lust, then at least Cody could shove it where the light didn’t shine but this emotion… deep and profound…

He mentally shook it of and instead smiled. “I’m glad to see you Gen-Obi-Wan,” He amended at the others quick look. “But something tells me that you’re not here just to see me.” He limped back to the desk, settling down heavily with Obi-Wan sitting down on the office desk edge.

There were no additional chairs in this office, so Cody made no mention of him sitting on the desk. “Actually, for the most part, I just wanted to see you. But you are also right,” Obi-Wan confessed quietly, hands in his lap. “The council has requested I ask you for a meeting, Vod’alor Kote. The Jedi Order is a bit… uncertain, in the face of new leadership and would like some… clarity. Coming from you, it would be the most assuring.” He stated softly.

Cody peered up at the other before reaching out and resting his hand on Obi-Wan’s wrist, squeezing it carefully. He could read between the lines.

Not all Jedi were used to the vode, not everyone had been in their care and some of them… well, not everyone was Obi-Wan, who trusted the vode with all he was.

They needed reassurance.

Cody was willing to provide that. “Of course, what time would be best?” He stated quietly, swallowing thickly when Obi-Wan turned his hand to hold Cody’s.

“Any time at your leisure, Vod’alor Kote, the council will see you at any time today.” Obi-Wan stated, voice low and gentle, his eyes full of warmth as he peered at Cody.

Sweetheart hungry was great. When they get to the Negotiator, Obi is going to find himself in the middle of a clone cuddle pile. I wonder how they would respond if someone tried to take advantage of Obi, thinking that some of the rumors were true.

Letting out a happy little grumble as he shifted between the mass of warmth and hardness, Obi-Wan let out a bone cracking yawn before reaching down to scratch his stomach as an itch presented itself. As his hand encountered bare skin, his memories returned to him of the last night and he smiled sleepily.

They had finally gotten back to the Negotiator, Cody barking orders left and right with Boil following behind the Commander with Obi-Wan in his arms, Helix hot on their trails with Potion dragging any injured vode with him to the medbay.

The CMO however was focused on the Jedi and since he was the one that had best…ah, control so to speak, of him, the other medics were content to leave Obi-Wan to Helix tender mercy.

Not that Obi-Wan needed much care in regards to medical attention, not this time.

What Obi-Wan had really needed was attention.

Which was why Helix had sent of a message to some of the troopers on ship prior to them docking and by the time the stolen ship finally landed, a break room had been transformed into a cuddle puddle room.

The original furniture was nowhere in sight, meanwhile mattresses from several beds were laid out over the floor along with blankets, pillows and duvets, some Obi-Wan recognized as having been unused due to the fact that they didn’t smell like any of the troopers and only of the standard issue cleaning detergent used on the GAR supplies.

But it was the content of those mattresses that had piped Obi-Wan’s attention as Boil finally set him down onto the soft surface. Troopers either dressed in only boxers or their blacks, those not on duty, all of them happy to see him and happy to help him out of his own clothes.

Helix had of course shooed them away once Obi-Wan was only in his boxers, giving him a general checkup and taken a blood test.

But then Obi-Wan had been released from medical attention with the strict order to eat.

Obi-Wan had been pulled into the middle of the pile the moment he was released, Gregor becoming an octopus as he wrapped himself up around Obi-Wan with a happy noise. Hands, warm and callused, found his skin to gently rub or pet, the sensation of affection and care in the Force almost overwhelming along with the additional skin touches.

Obi-Wan might honestly have become a tad drunk on the touches if he was honest.

Sex of course was very good to fill him up but…

So many years of empty sex had taught Obi-Wan how hollow that kind of feeding was, how the view of the person he slept with effected the way he feed. The affection the troopers held for him, the care and love…

It meant that he didn’t need sex at all really and while Obi-Wan certainly wasn’t asexual, there was relief to not having to work up someone to have sex for him to eat, to make them passionate enough that Obi-Wan wouldn’t go hungry.

Nor to pretend the sex was great when Obi-Wan didn’t get much else out of it, it was why he often had resorted to going with Quinlan before if possible.

Sex was nice but it was better with genuine emotions and Obi-Wan just… well he didn’t really have much sexual desire when the person was unfamiliar.

Bant had once stated to him that it sounded like he was pansexual, that his attraction wasn’t in looks but in personalities and emotions, that he needed a connection to feed of a person properly.

Maybe.

All Obi-Wan knew was that he felt better when it was a person he cared for and who cared for him in return, the sensation of a stranger leaving him strangely cold occasionally and the friendly touches of people like Anakin having a bitter edge to them at times.

But a trooper…a vode…

A warm hand traced down his side, prompting Obi-Wan to open his eyes in the dark of the rec room, blinking sleepily at the ceiling before turning his head to squint in the dark, meeting Waxer’s eyes, the bald clone smiling at him before reaching out to gently tug Obi-Wan against his chest.

Going willingly, he let out a content him as another hand stroked along his spine, a trooper at his back following when Obi-Wan moved.

Boil, of that Obi-Wan was certain and when he felt a soft kiss pressed to a bare shoulder with the telltale tickle of a mustache, he was sure.

The sensation made him smile against Waxer’s brown shoulder.

Clearly, it was still night time schedule on the ship, if Waxer and Boil were with him and stretching out his senses, Obi-Wan could feel the rest of the troopers that had come with him, Gregor somehow having moved to the outskirts without alerting Obi-Wan.

The boys were good at rotating, those who wanted to cuddle with Obi-Wan, got to cuddle and Obi-Wan couldn’t be more thrilled at it, feeding from several people left him sated.

And not just in the hunger of his body way but a hunger of his mind and skin too.

Oh, Obi-Wan wasn’t stupid, for all his incubus nature, he knew he was a tad touch starved.

The lack of friendly touch outside of sex had ensured a slight isolation when Obi-Wan wasn’t sure who to trust with his secrets as an incubus and his uncertainty to who might try to take advantage of his nature.

But the troopers…

Obi-Wan was blessed for having them and he pressed his face to the junction of Waxer’s neck, pressing a soft kiss to it, getting a soft hum in return. Yes, Obi-Wan considered himself blessed by the troopers he had in his life.

All of them gems in their own ways.

‘What would I do without them.’ Obi-Wan mused contently, letting out a soft, sleepy noise of happiness.
