Do Ani and Obi ever get unsupervised visitation in the Light Through the Cracks?

Stepping out of the steamed up fresher as the door opened for him, Obi-Wan continued rubbing his hair dry with the towel. He honestly preferred this to a hair blower as it generally tended to leave his hair feeling a weird texture.

And the noise had always made him feel antsy for some reason.

And air drying took too long now that his hair had grown out this muc- “Ack!”

The eep broke through Obi-Wan’s thoughts and he ripped the towel away to blink into the room, finding Anakin shielding his eyes as he sat cross legged on Obi-Wan’s bed. “Anakin?!” Obi-Wan squeaked before hurriedly closing the bathrobe, flushing darkly. ‘Please tell me he didn’t see anything.’ Obi-Wan couldn’t help but anxiously think, cursing the Force shielding of the room for the first time as he hadn’t sensed Anakin enter at all.

He still wasn’t quite healthy, still needed to put on some more weight and honestly, he’d rather not expose himself to his padawan just yet.

It would come eventually on their future missions, it was unavoidable honestly but for Force sake, could Obi-Wan please not just have exposed himself to his ten year old padawan?

“H-Hi Obi-Wan,” Anakin squeaked, hands still over his eyes. “Um, can I look?” He questioned nervously.

Tying the robe instead of just nervously closing it, Obi-Wan cleared his throat. “Yes, yes you can. I um, tied the robe,” He quickly picked up the towel he dropped, peering at Anakin. “I-how are you here? And um, how much did you see?” He inquired, flushing darkly as the tanned child peeked between his fingers before lowering his hands.

Flushing equally as hard as Obi-Wan, Anakin shook his head. “Not much, I was looking up, so I mostly just saw your chest and head,” He stated shyly, twisting his hands together in his lap. “And Master Mace said I could visit you, that the council is going to allow unmonitored visitations now.” Despite clearly still being embarrassed, he beamed as he added the second part.

Oh, Obi-Wan could have melted at that.

At both answers honestly.

He was grateful he hadn’t just scarred his young padawan but unmonitored visits!

It was evidence that Obi-Wan was recovering, that the council and healers were allowing him to see Anakin without someone to keep an eye.

He couldn’t help but drop the towel as he moved forward to the bed and dropped to his knees on it, wrapping his arms around Anakin to hug him.

And tactile as he’d always been and thoughtlessly affectionate, Anakin reached back, giggling happily as he wrapped his small arms around Obi-Wan, patting at his back with his small hands when Obi-Wan sniffled. “Its okay master. I’m here. I’m here.” He cheerfully stated.

‘Oh Anakin, what did I do to deserve you?’ Obi-Wan tightened his grip on his young apprentice. ‘I’m so broken and yet here you are, trying to take care of me when I’m the adult… the council should take you away from me but I’m glad they haven’t. I’m glad you’re still my padawan.’ He couldn’t wait until he was better, until he was cleared by the healers.

Until he could properly teach Anakin and see just how much he had grown in the time Obi-Wan had been confined to the healers and in need of care.

Brushing his fingers through the short hair, Obi-Wan let out a shuddering breath and caught Anakin’s now grown braid. ‘Just a little longer Anakin, just wait for me a little longer my nova.’

So Obi totally asks Ani to com Fox so he can tell him what is happening. Ani and Fox come to an understanding in Sightless Bird. Maybe Fox starts to notice weird things about the Chancellor’s new interest in Obi as Ani’s padawan?

There were times when Fox hated the armor helmet, wearing it constantly could be a drain and it could be stuffy even though they were used to wearing it.

And yet other times, it was a blessing.

It left Fox alone to smile to himself, apparently standing at attention to anyone looking and yet able to let his mind wander as he seemingly stood at attention at the Chancellor’s door, the inane ramblings of the politicians washing over him that were arguing once more about the damn Senate parking budgets of all things.

Thankfully Fox could let his thoughts wander, mentally sighing joyfully to himself as no one spared him even a look, unlike when they had entered the office.

Obi-Wan had finally called him, beaming with his master right behind him, Skywalker reading over some reports with a furrow in his brow, though he’d glance at Obi-Wan and smile sometimes, apparently not aware that Fox could also see him.

()()()Flashback()()()

“Fox!” Obi-Wan chirped the moment the commander answered and Fox could have fallen over in relief, ignoring the rest of the guards chuckling to themselves as he entered his office to take the call in private.

“Obi-Commander, I’m so relieved to hear from you.” He stated, pulling off his helmet so he could look over Obi-Wan properly without the helmet visor.

He looked good.

His hair was the same, though now a braid swung beneath one ear with the rest in his usual nerf tail. Obi-Wan had told him that having his hair grown out made it easier to groom since he had no idea how it looked when short.

Obi-Wan prided himself on looking presentable, it amused Fox to no end that a child of that age thought like that as he had come to learn that even Jedi children were exactly that, children.

His clothes were proper too as always, though thankfully Fox could spot a few armor pieces, gauntlets at the very least though if there were anything further down, he wouldn’t be able to tell since Obi-Wan’s holo was only from the waist up with Skywalker showing up from the shoulders up.

‘The holo recorder must be angled wrong and Skywalker hasn’t realized it.’ Fox thought, almost snorting when the General lifted a pad almost to his nose to look at something before pouting and lowering the pad.

“You can still call me Obi-Wan!” Obi-Wan pouted at him, his cry summoning Skywalker’s attention though he only glanced at Obi-Wan with a small smile before returning to his pad. Well, at least Fox had to give him that, it didn’t look like the man was slacking off. “You’re still my Fox right?” Obi-Wan blinked his big doe eyes at him.

Sighing, Fox pinched the bridge of his nose. “One day, someone is going to misunderstand that phrase but yes, I am,” He peered over his own hand and let out a small chuckle. “Fine, how are you doing Obi’ika? I heard about your… is it promotion?” He blinked.

Obi-Wan tapped his chin, blinking too. “I guess becoming a padawan could be looked at that way?” He puzzled, wiggling a bit in front of the holo before beaming, “But yes, I’m a padawan now!” He bounced happily, chattering excitedly about being deployed, about what ‘Master Anakin’ was teaching him and about meeting the 501st.

He looked so happy, blind eyes practically sparkling.

Settling down on the edge of his desk, content to listen, Fox couldn’t help the overwhelming relief sinking into his bones at the sight and he would bet, if Obi-Wan was in front of him, his cheeks would be flushing from his excitement.

‘…Okay. Okay, I’ll accept this. He’s so happy, he’s being taught like he feared he wouldn’t be, feared that he’d be sent away from the only home he knows. Obi-Wan is now vibrant with happiness instead of pale with worry… He’s a commander now… we just have to look out for him.’ Fox settled on despite his anxiousness, watching the wide smile on Obi-Wan’s face as he gave appropriate answers to Obi-Wan’s happy ramblings.

()()()End()()()

‘If I wasn’t in here, I could give him a call right now… see how he was or at least bother Rex about him…’ Fox almost sighed.

“So he has a new padawan…” The comment broke through the inane chattering, Fox looking up to blink at the Chancellor as the man slowly rubbed his chin with his index finger, sun shining in from behind and through the mans grey hair.

The natborn’s eyes were faintly narrowed and for some reason, a chill passed through Fox, cold sweat gathering on the back of his neck. ‘What… why am I…’ He continued staring at the Chancellor, even as the man’s attention was drawn away by the Senators. ‘…What was that?’ Fox swallowed, wondering why he felt so unsettled by those simple words from the man.

Ok, so the latest MajorStars have me melting from the gooey warm happy love everywhere from Ani, can we maybe see Obi and/or Qui’s perspective on what’s happening/Ani’ s behavior? As always, your writing is fantastic, no pressure, and I hope you’re doing well!!!

Stroking through Anakin’s hair slowly as he peered down at the sleeping child, Obi-Wan couldn’t help but smile. Clearly the day had been too much for the eleven year old but he had tried so much to keep awake and speak with Obi-Wan and it had been…

‘Adorable,’ Obi-Wan watched Anakin burrow more into his lap, sighing softly as his chest rose and fell steadily. ‘My son is adorable and sweet.’ Anakin had asked so many questions, from Obi-Wan’s missions to what Obi-Wan liked and even if Obi-Wan had a favorite color.

But he was just eleven.

And every eleven year old’s eventually got tired, slowly slumping against Obi-Wan until the knight had slowly and carefully slid the boy until he was laying on the couch with his head in Obi-Wan’s lap, stroking his hair slowly as Anakin blinked large, blue eyes at him until sleep claimed him.

“Better get him into bed,” Qui-Gon murmured quietly, settling his hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder when the other made to stand. “No, I’ll do it.” He smiled, Obi-Wan’s stomach fluttering at the sight as Qui-Gon stood and carefully lifted their son.

It was a sweet image and Obi-Wan’s hands itched to take a picture.

He resisted though, maybe he’d have the opportunity in the future.

For now he let Qui-Gon bring Anakin to bed, sitting back on the couch with a little sigh.

‘I didn’t know Anakin was so affectionate. I thought he might bow to me but…’ His mind flashed back to earlier, Anakin standing in the doorway, staring up at Obi-Wan with his wide eyes. ‘He came right over and hugged me.’

Honestly, it had taken all Obi-Wan had not to blush at the act.

Having had Anakin, regardless how much he trained, his stomach kept a slightly plush girdle and while he was as strong or maybe even stronger than the next Jedi, he knew that that little girdle of fat made it look like Obi-Wan was less in shape than for say Qui-Gon.

It was one of the reasons he tried to avoid communal showers of the salles.

That and the stretchmarks that was.

Anakin however didn’t seem to mind it.

No honestly, the child seemed to like that even more, burying himself into Obi-Wan’s stomach, pressing his face to it.

“I’d offer a credit for your thoughts but I imagine I could guess where they were.” Obi-Wan looked up quickly, finding Qui-Gon settling back down beside him.

Smiling wryly, Obi-Wan shrugged slightly. “If you’re thinking its about Anakin, you’d be right.” He murmured, leaning forward to press the back of his hand to the teapot.

Lukewarm.

Oh well, it was better than cold and it be a shame to waste good tea so Obi-Wan poured himself a full cup of the lukewarm tea and took a large sip.

“He’s a very affectionate child.” Qui-Gon suddenly stated and Obi-Wan paused, glancing at the other man as Qui-Gon rubbed his beard slowly, looking thoughtful.

“…I noticed too. Is… isn’t that how he’s always been?” Obi-Wan slowly settled back against the couch again, turning mostly to the other Jedi.

A low hum escaped Qui-Gon. “…Not until recently,” Qui-Gon stated quietly, glancing at Obi-Wan and then away to the caff table. “Until now, he’s been a regular creche child, as affectionate as another but after I took him on as a padawan…”

The room went silent except for the chrono quietly ticking away and Obi-Wan slowly sipping at his tea.

“You… think he knows?” Obi-Wan whispered, unsure what to think about that.

Or what to feel.

They had been planning to tell Anakin of course but not for years and years, when he wouldn’t let emotions rule him. He was just a young boy after all and Obi-Wan didn’t want to burden him more than he had to.

“There is a possibility, yes,” Qui-Gon stated, sighing quietly before smiling at Obi-Wan and shrugging. “Nothing we can do about it if he does, we can only continue forward and teach him well.” He settled on.

Nodding slowly, Obi-Wan finished off the cup only to jump when large fingers caught the tresses of his hair. “Ah?” He flustered a bit as Qui-Gon gave his hair a gentle tug.

“Your hair has gone quite long Obi-Wan,” Qui-Gon was smiling more softly at him. “When you left, it was still so short but now…” He leaned in and carefully tucked the hair behind Obi-Wan’s ear. “It suits you.” Qui-Gon voice was a deep rumble, his fingers lingering for a moment.

Obi-Wan had to fight the urge to squirm and flush, staring at his former master. “…Thank you Qui-Gon.” He whispered, his insides fluttering as he swore he could still feel the warmth of the others touch.

He had known for a long time how he felt about Qui-Gon but his time away had given Obi-Wan some time to cool emotions down… yet now… his return and visitation only reaffirmed those emotions once more, his heart racing in his chest at the lingering warmth of his master’s hand. ‘…Could he return those feelings?’

#MajorStars: Ani meets his bearer officially as padawan brothers. Ani loves his bearer’s presence.

Stumbling out of the fresher only to freeze when he heard another voice in the quarters, Anakin held his breath for a moment before shaking himself and sneaking towards the kitchenette, peeking in around the wall.

Obi-Wan!

It was Obi-Wan!

His suspicions were right, his bearer had come to visit and was standing with Qui-Gon at the counter, teasing him lightly, gently hip bumping the other man with a joking smile on his lips. Qui-Gon himself gave a low, chuckling laugh, clearly used to the action as he picked up the boiled kettle to pour into the teapot on the counter, sending the younger man a warm look.

And simultaneously catching sight of Anakin, his smile spreading even as Anakin gave a little squeak. “Ah, there you are padawan. We have a guest today.” Qui-Gon stated even as Obi-Wan was turning quickly.

Green eyes were sparkling with subdued excitement and nervousness, Anakin catching sight of it before Obi-Wan covered it up by smiling widely at him. “Well, hello there, you must be Anakin. I’m Obi-Wan Kenobi, Qui-Gon’s former padawan before you.” He stated warmly, his eyes clearly taking in the sight of Anakin.

This was his parent, this was Obi-Wan and he was smiling at Anakin, standing right in front of him and-and… and Anakin didn’t have to hold back this time.

Moving around the wall, Anakin let out a soft noise and moved forward before his brain could tell him to stop, rushing at Obi-Wan and wrapping his arms around the others waist, pressing his face to Obi-Wan’s stomach.

He could feel what was almost a soft pudge or maybe that was the layers of tunic the other was wearing but regardless, it was warm.

Obi-Wan was warm.

It felt good and Obi-Wan’s hands came up to hug him in return, one hand running through his short shorn hair slowly.

‘…Mom… This is how my mom feels and he’s warm and soft and… and I don’t want to let go ever.’ He shook a bit, fighting to reign in his emotions so he could look up at the other, smiling up at the redhead peering down at him with concern. “Hi. Thank you for the ship.” Anakin whispered, unsure what else to say.

Instantly Obi-Wan’s smile turned wide again, his hand petting through Anakin’s spikes. “You liked it then? I heard from the temple grapevine that you liked ships…” He stated, almost sounding shy to Anakin’s surprise.

But then again, he only knew Obi-Wan from reputation.

The Sith slayer, a diplomat with a silver tongue, someone that was the ideal Jedi.

Or that was what everyone said.

But… Obi-Wan cared for Anakin clearly, Anakin knew that as he pressed into the warmth of the others body, feeling the warm hands petting him.

Another, larger hand, equally warm, rested on Anakin’s back and he peered up to find Qui-Gon looking over Obi-Wan’s shoulder as he reached around his former padawan. “The tea is done steeping.” He announced softly.

Grasping Obi-Wan’s hand, Anakin gave the man an excited smile. “Tell me about your missions?” He questioned hopefully as Qui-Gon set the teapot on the carry tray along with teacups.

And thankfully a large pot of honey.

Obi-Wan laughed softly, following Anakin out to caff table as Qui-Gon carried the tray with tea, Anakin’s chest glowing with warmth and happiness. ‘My parents. These are my parents!’

Hi hope you are a having a good weekend. Thanks again for writing such wonderful stories that make us fall in love with the characters that you write. If you have some time coming can you continue Hoarder Seer…I want to see those babies and hope that Cody is going to be perfectly fine.

To add insult to injury after the poisoning of his love, the stress finally tipped over for Obi-Wan’s body as a trickle of water ran down Obi-Wan’s thighs, followed soon after by a slow contraction of pain even as Cody’s color was improving with the antidote spreading through his system, fighting the poison.

The babies were going to be born, regardless if Obi-Wan was ready or not though how long the labor would take was uncertain.

It could take everything from a full day to maybe half a day since Obi-Wan was still in the early stages of labor with his water breaking, the occasional contraction hitting along with his backache.

And Force did Obi-Wan have to go to the bathroom occasionally, a female togruta medic quickly explaining that one of the children were most likely laying against his bladder as she helped him out of his normal clothes and into a long medcenter gown that thankfully reached his knees, leaving him easily exposed for the time to come when he would be dilating.

She had also assured him that should an accident occur, that would also be completely natural even as Obi-Wan turned bright red at the suggestion of wetting himself and the bed.

‘Thank Force its been eight months, the kids are fully developed.’ Obi-Wan thought shakily even as he was being settled into bed, his hips hurting severely enough that the doctor wanted him in bed, the medic theorizing that as a male birth, his hips were preparing for the birth and they might need to set them after.

The nurses scuttled about quickly after helping him into bed, sending wary looks towards the troopers now stationed in his room as they moved around them as they kept a close eye with them in return.

After the poison attempt, Wooley had enough and had set up guards directly in the room as he and Qui-Gon dealt with the poisoning attempt, crowding it a bit with the nurses trying to get Obi-Wan comfortable with Cody settled on a second bed in the room, watching closely with worried eyes.

Helix was at Cody’s side, taking care of him since the poisoning had left the commander exhausted and numb. “Its just a temporary side effect for now,” Helix explained to both, eyeing one of the nurses before looking back to Cody. “You just need rest and fluids, though you have to take it carefully for a few days since the poison strained your organs, but I’m pretty sure you aren’t going far right now.” He looked to Obi-Wan.

Obi-Wan gave a breathless laugh at that before grunting slightly as one of the babies kicked him. “If he leaves this room for anything but food or the fresher, I’m gonna get up and kick him.” He huffed slightly.

That got a laugh from Cody, the trooper relaxing into the bed. “If you got enough energy to be sassy, you got a while to go still.” He stated softly.

Warmth spread through Obi-Wan at that, smiling slightly at his lover as one of the nurses covered him up with a blanket to keep him warm.

Cody had taken the pregnancy seriously, reading almost every article of relevance to a multiple pregnancy and childcare.

Hell, Obi-Wan suspected that Cody had also tried some hands-on experience down in the creche a few days when he and Cody weren’t together but he hadn’t asked.

But it made him feel loved, that Cody invested that much time into their future, into his care and their children care.

Huffing faintly as a contraction took him by surprise, Obi-Wan rubbed his belly slightly. “Has anyone called Anakin?” He questioned, snorting when he got a round of surprised looks first and then sheepish ones. “I suspect by the looks on everyone’s faces that he has not been informed of any of this?” He stated a tad dryly.

“I’ll inform him.” Helix offered, giving his vod a pat on the shoulder and then heading for the door, stepping out so he could take the call without the constant buzz of noises in the room being an issue.

Turning his head to look at Cody again, Obi-Wan smiled slightly. “So… our kids will be coming soon, you ready?” He teased gently, even as a thrum of nervousness went through him.

Because what if Cody wasn’t?

What if Obi-Wan wasn’t?

Cody however gave him a tranquil smile. “Cyare, after everything this war had to throw at us and the weird Force osik I had to put up with, I’m ready for anything. Just as long as I’m doing it with you.” He informed almost cheerfully, melting Obi-Wan’s nerves away.

As long as they were doing it together.

Smiling, Obi-Wan gave a nod at that as he rubbed his stomach in slow, uneven circles.

So, after the last time in Snow white purity, do Obi and Ani share bed again?

Letting out a surprised yelp while knocking his heels against the wall in an attempt to get away from the others feet, Anakin gave a wide eyed stare at Obi-Wan in the dimmed down cabin as the Jedi master smiled sheepishly back at him, giving a small shrug. “I told you my feet were cold.” He stated guiltily.

When the two had entered the cabin they’d be bunking in for their return back to Coruscant, Anakin’s nerves had almost shot through the roof when he noticed there was only one bunk, the only available cabin being a couples cabin and therefore it was a double ‘bed’ instead of two singles.

They would have to share and while they had done so before, Anakin had never shared with Obi-Wan while in his new, silky attire.

Obi-Wan too had seemed a bit uncertain but had smiled at him, patting him gently on the shoulder as they set their bags down and dug out his toiletries to prepare for bed.

And Anakin, much to his own horror, found that he had left behind his sleep pants in the castle in his haste to get away from the darn princess and prince that kept frigging hitting on Obi-Wan. That meant he would have to sleep in his boxers and only those.

He could of course put on his leggings but he was suppose to walk around in those in the day time and did not need more sweat and dried skin in them!

He didn’t need to reek!

So, that left him to sleep in his boxers with Obi-Wan in his cute pink sleep wear.

If Anakin had popped a boner before from simply sharing the bed, it was nothing against what would happen now and he was terrified of making Obi-Wan uncomfortable around him again. Because Anakin was totally aware that Obi-Wan became uncomfortable after he had an orgasm against Anakin’s thigh.

And if that happened again now due to Anakin not being able to control his hormones…

Well, at least he wasn’t about to do it now, because despite being warned when Obi-Wan saw he didn’t have pj pants, he had no idea Obi-Wan’s legs would be that cold.

Shame on him, considering he was warned prior to Obi-Wan crawling into the bunk, the two facing each other since the bunk was thankfully big enough for it, Anakin laying on his left while watching Obi-Wan nervously as he came under the large blanket.

“Force master, what is wrong with your feet?” Anakin surprise turned to concern, reaching down automatically to rub at the others knee, using the Force to heat up the others feet a bit quicker.

Obi-Wan let out a soft noise, giving him a stern look before sighing in relief when Anakin was clearly warming his feet, stifling any scolding the older man was about to give him. “Remember when I mentioned how my hands were always cold?” He stated softly, his minty breath washing over Anakin’s face.

Anakin scrunched up his face, slowly rubbing his thumb over Obi-Wan’s knee still. “Um, faintly, you told me this years ago…” He mumbled, thinking back before pausing, staring at Obi-Wan. “Wait, didn’t you say you had circulation issues?”

Nodding slightly, shuffling closer to Anakin unconsciously, Obi-Wan sighed. “Yeah, its mostly due to surgeries I’ve had, my circulatory system isn’t as good as it should be, so my utmost extremities are quicker to become cold, so my hands, my feet and the tip of my nose for example easily become cold.” He shrugged slightly, trying to fib it off.

Grunting unhappily however, Anakin mumbled then reached out with the Force, tucking the blankets fully around them to avoid letting in any cold air. Then he ordered the cabin to go five degrees warmer. “I’m not having you cold master.” He huffed at Obi-Wan before quite firmly ordering the lights out, his right arm coming around the other to rest around his waist, hand settled on the others mid back.

After a moment, Obi-Wan let out a soft sigh, a mix of exasperation and pleasure as he pressed his forehead to Anakin’s collarbone. “Alright padawan, we do it your way.” He stated softly and much to Anakin’s surprise, yet pleasure, he slowly felt Obi-Wan sneak an arm around him in return, settling in a mimicking pose to what Anakin.

It was comfortable and Anakin let out a soft hum, closing his eyes.

He could get used to this, he could very much get used to this every night.

Obi-Wan warm and pliant in his arms as the man held Anakin in return, despite the cold fingers touching along his spine. And yet they were quickly heating up, soaking in Anakin’s warmth most likely.

‘I’d warm you any time you’d need Obi-Wan, any time you want. You just have to ask.’ He nuzzled slowly against soft, copper hair, resisting the temptation to drop a kiss to the top of the others head.

Not yet.

But soon.

Soon he could cross that barrier too.

#MerSong- Ani, Obi, and Jango talk. Ani gets to feel reassured that Obi will not leave him.

Curled into the other mer’s side, Obi-Wan couldn’t stop grinning at Jango. Ocean waves, his face hurt from how much he was smiling!

Finding Jango again felt like a damn dream, he’d never expected to find a familiar, friendly face again.

Not only had Obi-Wan managed to find an alpha that suited his taste, that he was maybe going to form a proper mating bond with but he had also found his old pod mate and friend. Even if things fell through with him and Anakin, he was guaranteed a home with Jango and his brood, because there was no way Jango would leave him to fend for himself.

Jango had always been a protective person and Obi-Wan couldn’t imagine parenthood had changed him

And speaking of parenthood… “I still can’t believe you managed to parthenogenesis, and so many of them!” Obi-Wan glanced around the cave, feeling Anakin’s arm latch around him as if he was an octopus instead of a mer.

He didn’t notice Jango’s amused stare at the blond’s needy action, absently patting Anakin’s hand on his waist instead.

“Yeah, I have no idea how I managed that either. And not all of them look exactly like me either,” Jango shrugged, reaching out to pull on Rex’s dark blue tail, the blond yelping and whacking his father with his tail before giving a burst of speed to get behind Anakin and Obi-Wan, avoiding retaliation. “Though, they’re all little shits.” Jango smirked, scratching at his chin.

Laughing, Obi-Wan shook his head and fluttered his fins at Jango. “As if you weren’t one at their age? We were in the same pod, I know what you were up to at their age.” He teased back, humming happily when Anakin nuzzled at his hair.

“Still can’t believe you’re here,” Jango mused, resting back against the cave wall, tucking his hands behind his head. “I was sure you’d already be mated ages ago to… oh hell.” Jango sighed suddenly, eyeing Obi-Wan with sharp, knowing eyes. “Satine choose another, didn’t she?” He asked grimly.

Flickering his tail, Obi-Wan glanced warily at Anakin.

It felt disingenuous to talk about Satine with Anakin there.

As if admitting the reason he left his former pod was because he wasn’t picked.

“Obi-Wan.” Jango stated sternly, frowning at him.

Sighing, Obi-Wan pressed into Anakin’s side. “No. She didn’t. I don’t know why and I didn’t have a place in the pod anymore, you know how many omegas there were in the pod, if I’d stayed, then there be no one I was compatible with.” Obi-Wan admitted quietly, fiddling with Anakin’s fingers on his waist.

Of course, mating wasn’t all there was to life, you didn’t have to have a partner or pups…

But Obi-Wan had wanted.

And he had thought Satine wanted the same with him.

‘Doesn’t matter. It doesn’t matter, the ocean is bit a there are other chances.’ He turned his head, smiling up at the confused looking Anakin, the blond tightening his hug when Obi-Wan smiled at him.

“Whose Satine?” Cody, one of Jango’s older sons, asked.

Honestly, Obi-Wan could see himself getting quite well along with Cody and it seemed that between Rex and Cody, one of the two would be the leader after Jango, both powerful and commanding but Cody a bit more rigid than Rex.

“Someone that Anakin is very lucky is a moron,” Jango stated dryly, accepting one of his sons into his arms to cuddle, Obi-Wan taking notice that this one was an omega of all things and seemed to be damaged, scars stretching over their body and their tail not moving correctly. “But to answer you better, Satine is the clan head of my former pod, her father was when I was still in the pod.” He shrugged.

Cody frowned slightly, blinking before looking at Obi-Wan, putting two and two together.

Letting out a deep snort, Jango continued cuddling his son, another with a five of all things tattooed on his forehead coming closer to rub at the others back. “She was always a moron. Guess that’s to our boon though, you were always the cleverest of the podlings in group hunting. Never saw anyone take down a shark as easily as you did” He gave a toothy grin, laughing when Obi-Wan flushed at the impressed gazes he was getting from Jango’s brood.

“My boon, that’s for sure.” Anakin agreed quietly, the words only meant for Obi-Wan as the mer smiled shyly at his old friend, settled into Anakin’s side on the sand.

‘Yeah… this is my new pod. My new home.’ Obi-Wan nuzzled Anakin, chirping faintly at him.

He was home.

#thesnailsarefree: how are the boys holding up? Is Anakin going to be knighted soon? Is Palpatine scheming behind the scenes? Are we close to the clone wars? Has Ani’s monster side claimed Obi as his?

Peering sleepily down at his waist, Obi-Wan mentally wondered when this had become the norm as the shimmery white tentacle tightened its grip around him, the warmth of the person sharing the same bunk as him comforting along with the surprisingly reassuring presence of the tentacles wrapped around him.

‘Oh, right about the time Anakin developed more other features. Right.’ Obi-Wan yawned sleepily, the amused thought reminding him of the initial reaction to the additions.

That had been one hell of a morning when Anakin had come running out of his bedroom in the temple, yelling for Obi-Wan in a high pitched, frightened voice that had Obi-Wan almost running into the door of his own bedroom in his haste to get to the other.

It had taken Obi-Wan hours to get Anakin to properly calm down after, his own heart beating a mile a second as the sight of Anakin having tentacles coming from his armpits as if they were additional arms. They were just as thick as Anakin’s arm at the forearms closest at the torso in the same shimmery white color as Anakin’s head tail but with shimmery gray circle markings over them on the top and he had suckers in a darker gray color on the underside like an octopus would.

Which was strange, considering Anakin’s headtail seemed to be more related to the slugs around the temple but Obi-Wan wasn’t about to make comments about that when Anakin was having a panic attacked mixed in with body dysmorphia due to having gained tentacles.

Pinky had also been distressed by both Anakin and Obi-Wan, the little critter chirping and whimpering in Obi-Wan’s neck as Anakin cried and flailed his tentacles around.

But, as with everything else from Obi-Wan’s third eye to Anakin’s own headtail, they got used to them and Anakin adapted to them quite remarkably Obi-Wan would say, using the additional appendages on the sly when anyone was watching and more obvious when it was just the two of them.

One of the things they had early learned was that, when sharing a bed with Obi-Wan as they often had to do during missions, the tentacles would wrap themselves around Obi-Wan.

Latching on tightly, as if he would disappear in the night.

The first time it had happened, Anakin refused to look Obi-Wan in the eyes and had tried to tie his own tentacles to his body come night.

Which Obi-Wan had promptly scolded him for of course.

He didn’t mind the experience, it was odd yes but frankly, he’d rather have Anakin wrap them around him in his sleep than the other doing something that could potentially damage him. And the tentacles had required bacta after Anakin’s little stunt, the skin red and irritated from the material and harshness Anakin had treated them with.

The skin was shockingly delicate if Obi-Wan was honest.

Not something he was used to thinking with Anakin but well, a little adjustment period.

Still, it was strange just how comfortable he now was with the tentacle.

Petting the white appendages around his waist and stomach, Obi-Wan glanced at the chrono, grunting when he noted it was the middle of the night still.

He could feel the rumbling of the hypermotor that was still in use, which meant that they were in a hyperlane and still far from their destination.

In the hollow of his neck, Pinky gave a sleepy chirp, nuzzling slowly into him in a comforting motion. “I know, I know.” Obi-Wan mumbled, reaching up with his other hand to carefully rub at the slug’s head with a gentle rubbing motion.

The action had displaced him a bit as Anakin’s coils tugged him back into his body, the blond letting out a soft mumble as he spooned more up against the warmth of the Obi-Wan’s body, an arm coming up to flop over Obi-Wan’s chest.

‘I’m going to miss this when he’s knighted…’ Obi-Wan paused, letting out a shaking breath as he let the thought linger a bit. Then he let it go into the Force.

He wouldn’t loose Anakin just because he became a knight, they’d still be former master and padawan and they would become equals and hopefully friends at that point but…

He’d miss this, this comforting feeling of being together, because he doubted they’d get as many missions together and Anakin would be going for solo missions as all fresh knights were to.

Which meant that Obi-Wan would have to enjoy this for as long as it lasted, slowly rubbing at the tentacles wrapped around him until he fell asleep once more.

Sightlessbird, How do the troopers react to having a new blind commander in the wake of Ahsoka’s departure? I’ve never sent anything to you so I’m letting you know now that I’m a big fan of yours! Your dedication to write multiple fics at a time is amazing- I couldn’t do it. I hope you have a good day!

There was a baby on the bridge.

A baby commander, but a baby nonetheless.

Rex couldn’t stop staring at him as the General introduced their new Commander with the cane twirling lightly in his small hands, wearing almost the same clothes as Commader Grey’s little baby commander, only this one was wearing red leather boots and his tabards weren’t as dark brown.

Large, sightless green eyes were trailing around, as if the boy could actually see and was taking in the bridge though maybe he was using the Force to get an impression?

The boy had a short copper braid tucked into a nerftail and chubby cheeks that had freckles and wore no armor and…and had Ahsoka ever looked that small?

The boy looked so small, like some of the tubies back at Kamino and Rex had the urge to vehemently insist that the boy not come with them on the employment. All of the 501st ended up becoming violent at some point and he didn’t want this wide eyed child to come with them.

And he was already injured, his sight taken away quite obviously by whatever had put that scar across the eyes of the boy.

What if they lost this one to the galaxy too, what if this one was taken from them by the battles instead?

“Captain Rex?” Jerking too at the call, Rex almost mechanically moved forward, shamefully grateful the boy couldn’t see him at that moment as Skywalker raised a confused brow at him. “Obi-Wan, this is Rex, he’s the captain of the 501st.” The man introduced the two.

The boy, smiling up at Rex, held out hand. “Pirusti urcir alor’ad Rex.” Obi-Wan chirped at him.

Rex jaw dropped even as Anakin, that bastard, gave a laugh and clapped his new baby padawan on the shoulders. “Obi-Wan! I didn’t know you spoke Mando’a! And it even sounds correct!” He smiled adoringly down at the boy.

“Oh, um, I learned it from Duchess Satine when she was in the temple a few years ago, she was visiting the Jedi that helped her back when Mandalore was thrown into civil war.” Obi-Wan stated shyly, his cheeks pinkening at the praise.

How had the boy wormed his way so quickly into the General’s heart?

Rex had seen the other after Ahsoka’s trial, how bitter and upset he was, angry at the world. Hell, Rex had held the other man and assured him that they’d do what they could if Ahsoka ever came for help!

So how had this boy…

His lips reluctantly twitched into a small smile, watching the flush on the pale cheeks, Obi-Wan squirming slightly. “Pirusti urcir al’verde Kenobi.” Rex greeted in return, voice low and soft as he grasped the boy’s hand before he could turn uncertain.

The others hand felt tiny in his but his grip was strong and Obi-Wan was beaming back up at him. ‘I won’t loose this one. I’m not going to loose this one. Mother of moons, please don’t let me loose this one.’ Rex didn’t know who he was pleading with, what power he was trying to call upon but he hoped they were listening.

Gods, goddesses, the Force, whatever power had given the clones to the Jedi that cared for them but he hoped it was listening.

“I think we’ll get along great.” He tacked on softly as he let go of Obi-Wan’s small hand.

Obi-Wan continued beaming up at him before turning to Anakin when the General ruffled at his hair, squeaking as he wildly batted at the adult’s hand. “Master! My hair!” He cried out in dismay, pouting as he scooted away from Anakin, the blond laughing happily as he watched him.

“Alright munchkin, lets go, you need to settle into our room,” He teased, reaching out to pull on the others shoulder. “We’ll be back in an hour or so Captain.” Anakin announced, Obi-Wan snapping his cane out to run across the floor even as he let his master guide him out the doors.

‘…Can’t loose this one too.’

I»m really glad that anon brought up MajorStars – I was able to read up on both it and LittleStars! So good! I can’t help but wonder how Anakin will react to being approached by Qui-Gon, especially because if he accepts (and considering he’s smart enough to have deduced who his parents are, I imagine he might indeed accept), it will put him in the middle of the Council’s scrutiny and Anakin may be unnerved by it!

Looking around the room with wide eyes, Anakin hands twitched with the urge to rub against every surface to see if he could pick up anything from the one that had owned it before. If any of the furniture had soaked in the presence of the person that had used them.

Of Obi-Wan.

His bearer.

Of course, Anakin wasn’t suppose to know that and he knew that while the council had been reluctant, they had allowed Qui-Gon to take him on. After all, if they had rejected it, everyone would wonder why.

Anakin would wonder why, would be curious as they had to give a reason.

They clearly couldn’t find a good enough reason to deny the apprenticeship outside of the fact that Qui-Gon was his father and once more, they didn’t want to advertise that.

Which meant that Anakin was now officially Qui-Gon Jinn’s padawan, brother padawan to Obi-Wan Kenobi.

‘So wizard!’ Anakin gave into his urges and rubbed his hands on the dresser, squeaking happily when what he could only describe as warmth echoed back at him, Obi-Wan’s signature resonating in the old furniture.

It could only be Obi-Wan’s, this was his old room after all, everything in this room had been touched and lived in with this person and now this room was Anakin’s space.

Anakin got to live where his bearer had once been, could soak in his signature.

If there was ever a moment Anakin envied Jedi like knight Vos for having psychometry, it was right now.

The walls could literally talk to them and would tell him stories if only Anakin had the ability. ‘But at least I can feel him…’ Anakin turned his attention on the desk, approaching it slowly as something on it caught his attention.

There was a ship about the size of Anakin’s hand on the desk, resting on a little black platform.

Hand carved from some kind of substance.

Duraplast maybe?

Anakin recognized it as a eta-2 actis-class interceptor, his favorite ship.

Picking it up from its platform with ease, Anakin almost whined as he felt Obi-Wan once more, his signature soaked into every piece of the ship. His bearer had spent time on this, carefully wielding it, carving it and painting it with meticulous care to details and Anakin couldn’t spot a single error or a miss painted paint line.

Just a beautifully carved toy in yellow, gray and black, covered in a glossy finish to protect its paints and detail.

Obi-Wan had left it behind.

Everything but the furniture had been cleared out.

The furniture…and this.

That meant that Obi-Wan had left it on purpose for Anakin.

Swallowing thickly at that, Anakin pressed the ship to his chest, holding it tightly. This had been made for him, by his bearer, Obi-Wan knew Anakin enough to guess his favorite ship or at least knew that Anakin was a mech-head.

He had spent time making what could be a toy or a decoration for Anakin with his own hands, to the point his own Force signature had sunk into the very foundation of the toy.

Carefully, Anakin placed it back down, rubbing furiously at his face with his hands, wiping away the tears, being overwhelmed from the shock of what he found.

Evidence beyond his parents showing up at lessons and sparring tournament, evidence that they cared and knew him as best they could even while not trying to be obvious.

“Are you alright padawan?” Qui-Gon called out, his tone low and Anakin had to take a deep breath before he could answer.

Turning around, he gave a bright smile to the concerned master standing in the doorway of his room. “Better than ever master. I just found this wizard interceptor!” He chirped, gesturing to it.

If Qui-Gon noticed that his eyes were slightly red and his voice was slightly squeaky, the man didn’t say anything, his face shifting into a softer smile. “Obi-Wan made it, a welcome to the lineage present. You like it then?” He inquired warmly.

“I love it.” Anakin beamed as he took a step forward and threw his arms around Qui-Gon’s waist in a tight hug, hoping he’d see Obi-Wan soon to hug him too. Qui-Gon’s large, warm hands came up, gently patting Anakin’s head as the man gave a soft, rumbling laugh.
