In VisionsISee what do other people (ie Dooku, Yoda, etc) about Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan getting together?

“So
I bought you chocolate.” Obi-Wan looked up at the voice, raising
his brow at Qui-Gon as the man wandered over to him and perched his
ass on the edge of the table without a care in the world as if Master
Nu wouldn’t smack him over the back of the head with how close his
butt was to some of the pads on the table beside Obi-Wan’s
terminal.

On the
other side of the table, Yan raised his own brow at his padawan and
his young linage brother, all too aware of listening ears and
watchful eyes though he
nodded in return when Qui-Gon gave him a little greeting wave and
smile before he focused back on Obi-Wan.

“Uhu,
you did? I do hope you haven’t brought them to the Library because
I don’t think even Yan could get you out of trouble with Jocasta if
you did.” Obi-Wan sat back in
his chair, crossing his flesh
and mech arms over his chest with an amused smirk on his face.

That
just gained him a shrug and a smug
grin. “I said I bought you
chocolate, I never said I had them on me. I’d would give you the
chocolates but I ate them all… would you settle for having me
instead?” The long haired man leered at him.

Staring
at the tall man in shock, Obi-Wan let out a little squeaky noise
before pressing his head back into the chair and breaking out in a
loud, happy laugh that had Qui-Gon’s leer turning into a soft smile
as his true goal
was achieved.

Now Yan would be
one of the first to say he was wary about his former padawan’s
relation with Obi-Wan… but he would also be the first to admit that
he hadn’t seen Obi-Wan this light and happy in many years, the
years of foresight that Obi-Wan was both blessed and cursed with
heaping age onto the mans shoulders when he was still just a boy.

So he was watchful,
just like everyone else.

It wasn’t like
either tried to hide it.

And yet both were
dutiful despite the disapproval of the Council and the more
traditional Jedi.

Obi-Wan had quietly
argued that compassion and love were part of the Order and if the
Council truly saw the relationship between Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan as a
danger then he would end it at their request.

Qui-Gon had looked
like he’d have a damn heart attack when Obi-Wan said it and
Skywalker had looked like he’d start bawling.

In the end… the
council had allowed it.

But they would be
watched and if even a sign of darkness or if they failed in their
duties as Jedi, they would end it by sending each to separate temples
in the galaxy. Of course it did not mean that they couldn’t fail
missions, that was to be expected despite trying their best.

That was not what
the Council meant by failing in Jedi duties.

A Jedi’s duty was
to follow the light, follow the law and stay loyal to the Order and
the Republic.

Both Qui-Gon and
Obi-Wan had agreed to that with ease.

‘We are Jedi
first, friends seconds and lovers third.’ Qui-Gon had rumbled in
front of the council, a small smile on his face. ‘We know our place
and we follow the Force.’

Yan could still
remember the groan the entire council let out at that but well,
seeing Obi-Wan laughing so carefree and happy…

He was delighted to
see his linage brother so happy.

Finally slowing
down to a chuckle, Obi-Wan reached up and took Qui-Gon’s large hand
in his, pressing a soft kiss to the back of it with a smile up at
him. “Oh Qui-Gon, you are… just a marvel.” He settled on.

“That
is why you adore me.” Qui-Gon chuckled, lacing their fingers
together as neither were shy
about affection in public though they had a limit as no one had seen
them truly kiss among others.
“Now, I did come to ask if you’d have dinner with me. I heard
from
Anakin that he would
be out with Tru, Aayla and Dara for some kind of joined project they
had for class and I kind of assumed that means you have free time?”
He asked curiously.

“He
does indeed and I have time.
I have a meeting with Yoda at four though so I may be a bit late if
you intend dinner to normal hour.” Obi-Wan noted, a smile still on
his lips as they were quite
familiar with each others routines.

“Then I’ll wait
until six for dinner and have some fruit while I wait.” Qui-Gon
hummed with a warm smile, ignoring everyone else in the world but
Obi-Wan, the Force filling with their joy and infusing it with warm
contentment.

And their love.

‘Maybe
its time the Jedi Order reevaluates its stance on love?’ Yan
pondered, leaning his elbows on the table as he continued to observe,
unknowingly smiling a bit to himself as
he soaked in the warmth from the two younger men.
