#UncertainBeginnings pls Obi wan’s reaction when he first saw Kamino and the clones? Did Dooku leave the order?

The
galaxy continues on, the worlds spin and the Jedi continue wandering
out into the galaxy to do their duty as requested by the Senate
though honestly, Obi-Wan has never heard the any missions being
rejected frankly.

Even
when they should have.

The
galaxy grows darker but there is a spark of light.

Anakin.

Anakin
continues to grow and prosper and become a beacon that Obi-Wan can’t
help but adore and maybe spoil a bit under Qui-Gon’s giant nose as
he gives the boy treats and trinkets when he returns from long
missions.

And
Anakin is quite good at fixing up his arm too though Obi-Wan still
mourns the lack of tactile sensation from the fingers even though
Anakin has tried to experiment with sensors.

It’s
just not the same as proper fingers even though it works slightly.

But
the galaxy continues onward and the years roll by and Obi-Wan has no
idea how it came to this but he’s staring at rows and rows of
identical men in white armor with Yan at his side and he can feel the
heat below his skin.

Palpatine’s
been working hard in the shadows.

Obi-Wan
knew the other had been up to something but this was beyond anything
he had expected and he feels nauseous and obviously Yan notices how
sick Obi-Wan is feeling as he places a hand in the low of his back to
support the young knight out of view from the Minister.

And
meeting Jango is…

Well,
Jango hates them and the way he stares at Yan…

Obi-Wan
has to send Yan away before giving Jango his attention again.

The
Mando’a crosses his arms over his chest, muscles flexing slightly
through the blue shirt. “So, what do you want Master Jedi?” He
questioned, clearly struggling to keep a polite tone.

Pausing
a bit, Obi-Wan tasted the words he wanted to say on his tongue before
sighing tiredly and sitting down slowly on the closest chair, staring
at Jango. “…He’s going to betray you.” He stated frankly,
revealing
for the first time what he had found out much to his own horror and
still uncertain how to deal with it, revealing to Jango that he knew
exactly who had hired the bounty hunter.

And
instantly he
got
a tense bounty hunter on his hands, amber
eyes
narrowed at Obi-Wan.

Great.

‘In
for a dip, in for a dive.’ Obi-Wan rolled his shoulders before
shrugging. “Palpatine is not a man one can trust, he may have given
you what you wanted for as long as you were useful but your
usefulness is clearly coming to an end and he can’t have people out
there knowing the truth.” He stated calmly.

Amber
eyes were still narrowed at him and a hand dropped down to the man’s
belt.

If
Obi-Wan was to take a guess, he’d say there was a blaster there but
he didn’t make a move to defend himself, only stared mutely at
Jango.

The
man who held his life currently in his hands before he slowly sat
down across from Obi-Wan. “…I’m listening.” He murmured.

Reaching
up, Obi-Wan ran his mech fingers through his hair, letting out a
huffing breath while ignoring the way Jango’s eyes flickered to the
metal. “Most people in the galaxy has forgotten what a Sith is, but
you’re both Mandalorian and smart, so yo-”

“I
know what a Sith is,” Jango snapped in. “The
darjetti were never forgotten by the Mandalorian-wait, are you
telling me that Palpatine…” He trailed off, staring at Obi-Wan.

Quirking
his lips humorlessly, Obi-Wan wiggled his mech fingers at the man,
the
derma only covering to his wrist at the moment.
“His apprentice took my arm off, it was one of the sacrifices I
made to figure things out and keep those I cared for safe…
something I imagine you can understand.”

They
both glanced towards what was likely Boba’s room, Jango’s jaw and
knuckles white with tension.

He
looked like he wanted to slug Obi-Wan and escape.

“Palpatine
won’t care about Boba, Boba doesn’t know about him, but you do,”
Obi-Wan stated quietly and calmly. “If I were you, I’d run but
he’d chase you. You’re a clever man however and your reputation
is quite strong. If anyone could stay under a Sith’s radar without
being Force sensitive, you would be one of them.” He shrugged
before sitting back in the chair.

Jango’s
jaw muscle was jumping, his eyes flickering between the door, Obi-Wan
and the window where the rain was pounding.

Now
the dice was in Jango’s hand and Obi-Wan would have to act
accordingly.

‘Just
maybe… I can prevent a war before it even breaks out.’ He
wondered shakily as he thought of all those armored men for what
other purpose did an army have than war and Obi-Wan sent a prayer to
the Force for leniency and mercy.

So in the last AliveButLost you said: «The next time Obi-Wan went missing». Are… can the Jedi try to get him back and succeed? Is there some accident in the Sith temple that leaves Obi-Wan falling down to the lower levels where no one goes? Protective rage and obsession from his line now that they’ve gotten him back once sounds interesting! Thanks for all the fantastic writing!

“I’d ask where
in hellspawn’s name you came from but I don’t think I want to
know,” Obi-Wan blinked down at the limpet currently attached to his
waist, the blond grinning up at him wildly as he rubbed his cheek
against Obi-Wan’s hip. “I was suppose to spar you know.”
Obi-Wan offered with some bemusement.

“I’ll let go
once Feemor arrives!” Anakin chirruped, the boy coming barreling
out of nowhere when Obi-Wan had entered the room.

Hearing a muffled
cough of laugh, Obi-Wan looked up at Qui-Gon with wide eyes, the long
haired Sith giving a shrug with a smile. “I tend to just let him do
his own thing. Apparently he’s under the impression you need hugs…
not that I really disagree.” Qui-Gon smirked before settling his
hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder to lead him through the throng of Sith
on sparring mats.

Noting that some of
them paused a bit when they walked past, Obi-Wan tried not to be too
self conscious even as he felt Sith around send out little greetings
towards them in the Force that Qui-Gon responded to because of
Obi-Wan’s uncertainty.

Most were slowly
reintroducing themselves to Obi-Wan and understood that a certain
distance was required temporarily but it was clear that most were
either awed or curious by his reappearance in the temple.

But that didn’t
mean they weren’t gossiping behind his back and Obi-Wan tried not
to feel too conscious of that.

Then he rolled his
eyes when Feemor made a straight beeline for them and instantly
manhandled Obi-Wan, lifting him off his feet while hugging him which
dislodged Anakin and had the boy whining up at Feemor.

Giving the laughing
Qui-Gon a long suffering look, Obi-Wan made his peace with being
hugged as he saw Xanatos glide into the room with another Sith,
giving the woman a word before he changed his direction and headed
towards Obi-Wan too.

Obviously intent on
getting his own touches in.

It made a warm glow
appear in Obi-Wan’s stomach that he tried not to identify too
deeply.

There’s a clammy,
giant hand on the back of his neck and Obi-Wan breath wheezes between
his clenched teeth as he is pinned to the wall with another hand
holding his wrists painfully at the small of his back, eyes water and
narrow with pain as another two giant hands are patting him down,
taking his lightsaber and belt off him.

His head is dizzy
and he’s bleeding from his head but he can still see the blurry
besalisk from the corner of his eyes as Pong Krell keeps him pinned.

He hadn’t
actually been worried when he saw the man.

Yes the besalisk
made him uneasy though Obi-Wan wasn’t sure why. Yet he had thought
anyone who would dare to attack him would certainly be a fool to risk
Qui-Gon and his linage brothers rage when Qui-Gon had made it quite
clear that he would rip limb from limb if anyone touched Obi-Wan.

So he had been
taken off guard when the Sith had suddenly shoved him against the
wall, smashing his head to the dark stone tiles and grasping his
hands, Obi-Wan caught off guard as he had only been walking the empty
hallway to get more quickly back to the quarters where Qui-Gon and
Anakin would have dinner ready after leaving behind Feemor in the
salle.

“I didn’t think
you’d actually come back worm,” Krell suddenly snarled. “My
deal with Palpatine was clear, you weren’t to return alive. My luck
you haven’t your memories though,” He crooned, his throat sack
bloating with pride. “And now you will never expose me.”

Obi-Wan had a
moment to recognize the name, Palpatine, before he was dragged down
the hall.

He heard a shift
and squinted before going wide eyed at an open shaft door and tried
to struggle out of the grasp of the besalisk but disoriented and in
pain from what was likely a concussion he did not get far before the
Sith once more slammed him into the wall, dazing him.

And then Obi-Wan
was thrown into the blackness of the open elevator shaft, falling
fast and hard towards the inky blackness below.

Father Sheev- when and why does Anakin turn? And how does Obi react to Sheev’s plots?

Sitting up suddenly
in bed, Obi-Wan stared out into his empty bedroom with his heart in
his throat before he scrambled out of his bed and ordered the light
on as he threw on one of his silky nightrobes while scrambling out
the door to reach his holo transmitter.

“Call father!”
He snapped out, his heart still hammering as his ears reverberated
with the scream still echoing in the Force. Something had happened,
something had happened to Anakin because it was his scream
that was still echoing faintly in the Force, his pain.

As expected, Sheev
appeared moments later but to Obi-Wan’s surprise, the other was
still in his nightwear too and looked as puzzled as Obi-Wan. “You
heard that?” He asked without preamble.

Nodding, Obi-Wan
tightened the robe around him. “It was Anakin, I’m sure of that.”
He said, his heart finally calming down even as his anxiety came
knocking.

The Chancellor
frowned, the furrow of his brow shown even in the holo before he
shook his head. “I do not know what has happened to your husband
but something has clearly.” He said slowly, rubbing his chin.

“So this is not
one of your plans then?” Obi-Wan couldn’t help but ask.

Oh he knew very
well that his father didn’t tell him everything but if this was one
of the plans that had gone awry…

Sheev sent him an
annoyed glance and shook his head. “I have nothing planned that
could have caused this now Obi-Wan. If that boy Falls now he
will blow all my careful plans apart for him,” He grunted in
annoyance before sighing. “Apologies son, I have not slept well and
to be suddenly awakened in such a rude fashion…” He let it trail
off.

Bowing a bit,
Obi-Wan shook his head. “No father, I am sorry. I was too quick to
accuse.” He said quietly.

That gained him an
amused glance before Sheev rolled his shoulders and shook his head.
“We won’t know anything until Skywalker contacts you or the news
breaks, all we can do is wait Obi-Wan, if you can I suggest you try
to get some more sleep.” He said though it was clear he didn’t
expect it. “So will I at least. I will see you in the morning son.”
Sheev finished before hanging up.

Breathing out
heavily, Obi-Wan ran his hand over his braided hair, stopping at the
edge near his waist before making his way out of his holo-comm room
to his lounge instead, opening his liquor cabinet.

He choose a deep
amber bottle, snorting as he noted it was one of his bottles of
expensive Breath of Heaven that had been gifted to him and then sat
down on a couch to drink.

And so Obi-Wan
passed the night, slowly getting sloshed as he nervously waited for
Anakin to contact him in some manner with his eyes glued to the tv in
case the news offered insight first.

For hours nothing
happened, leaving Obi-Wan to become drunker by the moment as he
savored the alcohol burning its way to his stomach.

As the gray light
of dawn broke out and Obi-Wan was contemplating some food, his holo
finally chimed, leaving him to scramble to his feet and stumble to
it, lighting it up to find a worn out Anakin standing there with a
lost expression on his face.

It reminded Obi-Wan
about the time Shmi had died…

“Ani?” He
slurred out. “Wha’ happened?”

There was a hitched
breath and Anakin collapsed to his knees, staring at Obi-Wan with
wide eyes. “Qui-Gon is dead. Obi-Wan my master is DEAD!” He cried
out, a faint shockwave traveling through the Force from the emotions
of the chosen ones pain.

The two stared at
each other before Obi-Wan started to croon in sympathy, trying and
failing to provide comfort from afar while desperately wondering what
had happened for Obi-Wan knew that Sheev still had plans for
Jinn.

So what had
