oooh, smallsteps is soo cute! can we see more? maybe there winds up being an attack when smol Obi is helping with relief effort? more protective clones? or maybe we can see a protective Ahsoka rescuing smol Obi?

There
is something that one must never forget when one is working with
Jedi, something every trooper must
keep in mind.

Jedi
have the worst luck.

It
is as if they have been cursed since the moment they were brought
into the temple.

Cody
would like to say he did not forget but he did grow complacent,
thinking that as a regressed in age Jedi, the impact would be less
sever and that the Force or the galaxy would have some mercy on the
wobbling adult man in a toddlers body as he tries to help the rest of
the galaxy with the relief effort the high council has given them
much to Cody’s discomfort even if he understands the why.

Apparently
however, the galaxy is not that merciful to Jedi.

They
are ambushed in the early twilight as Obi-Wan tiredly rubs at his
eyes with his fists and Waxer cooes softly at how adorable their
General looks at that moment, several troopers resisting the urge to
join in on the cooing.

All
hell dropped the next moment as several droideka dropped down in the
camp, scaring everyone half to death and pretty much waking everyone
firmly up as battle suddenly ensued and to Cody’s utter horror, he
lost sight of Obi-Wan.

He
lost sight of his tiny, three year old in body General in the middle
of a battle and had no idea where the unbalanced and small Jedi was
as they fought against the droideka, troopers bringing up shields and
the chainguns and Killer got out the rocket launcher before Cody
could even yell at someone to get it.

They
needed the droideka out of the camp the moment they landed and Cody
needed to find his General because this was total mess and they
needed to alert the another battalion, most hopefully Skywalker and
the 501st,
that they were under attack and needed backup as CIS presence were
now confirmed on the planet once more.

As
the dust dies down, faintly Cody has the thought that this was
planned, that maybe, just maybe this ambush was to get Obi-Wan in his
vulnerable state before brushing the thought away. “GENERAL!?” He
yells instead with a hoarse voice. He has to find Obi-Wan.

()()()

He
looks too little, the big medbed making him seem even smaller as he’s
bundled up in the middle with wires coming out everywhere and an
oxygen mask connected to his face. Holding the little hand gingerly,
Cody wondered how the hell this had happened before cursing out the
CIS in his mind.

They
had found Obi-Wan, rather quickly Cody would like to say too, however
that hadn’t been enough when Obi-Wan had clearly gone down for the
count the moment the droideka landed.

A
ruined stone arch had come down on him, crushing several bones,
causing inner bleeding and giving him a concussion.

Cody
had seen that Obi-Wan’s eyes were bloodshot when Helix had peeled
up a lid and the image of the Jedi in a child body coughing up blood
as they moved him would haunt him as he shuddered and stroked
Obi-Wan’s hand gently.

He
had informed the High council and they would be shipping whoever was
closest to them with the utmost urgency but at this point Cody was
worried and had the camp on high alert to a second ambush and attack.

Not
that he needed to say it at all, everyone was out for blood now that
their little Jedi was injured, everyone had seen it when Obi-Wan had
spewed blood up and had cried out in pain despite being passed out.

Moving
without additional protection was dangerous and Obi-Wan was already
in a fragile condition from
before from
his bought with the cold
as Helix had explained that he had also
taken severe damage to the point he needed to be kept still for at
least a few days, quietly admitting to Cody that if he could, he
would have him in a bacta tank.

‘But
we don’t have a bacta tank down here do we,’ Cody thought
bitterly, wishing they were up in the Negotiator as he looked at
Obi-Wan’s too pale face before smiling weakly as he looked at the
flowers someone had picked and put in a small cup on Obi-Wan’s
bedside for him to see when he woke. ‘Boil if I were to take a
guess, wanting
to cheer him up with some color despite acting like a grumpy gus.’
He summarized to himself, a little cold hand held
protectively in his.

Taking
note of the constellation of freckles on the hand, Cody focused back
on the others chest rising and falling slow. “…Come on General,
we need you to wake up, please?” Cody whispered.

He
received no answer except for the steady breath and Helix quietly
coming over to check Obi-Wan’s vitals, the medic gently squeezing
the commander’s shoulder in solidarity.

Hey Moddy…… how about deaged bby obi-wan that loves to give kisses to people he senses that are upset? Thnx for the great promts you give.~♡ Kiwan

Shaking himself out
of his thoughts, Anakin glanced down in his arms with a slight smile
as two wide green eyes stared back at him. However at the smile,
Obi-Wan gave a wide grin in return which made the dimples of his
chubby cheeks appear as he caught onto the happiness of the other.
“Buh!” He giggled.

“Yeah, buh to you
too I guess.” Anakin chuckled as he stepped into Padme’s
apartment.

During a routine
mission there had been a small accident, involving an ancient Jedi
artifact, Ahsoka poking around where she shouldn’t have and Obi-Wan
walking into the room at the wrong moment, things had gone really wrong.

The conclusion was
his master becoming all of one and a few months and in need of care.

But damn was his
tiny master an incredibly cute thing despite the worry.

And incredibly
affectionate as he snuggled up in Anakin’s arms while peeking
around at the world at large.

He was especially
fond of anything that glittered with lights in different colors
Anakin had discovered.

And most of the
time Obi-Wan was a happy, bubbly baby who didn’t really get upset
unless he needed something. Though Anakin had discovered that Obi-Wan
absolutely did not like the roar of engines and had actually started
to bawl with big tears during the flight on the shuttle down to
Coruscant once they had landing permission.

He hadn’t calmed
down until they had landed and Anakin had been able to get him out of
the hanger, bouncing and cuddling him while cooing quietly at him
with worry as he bought the deaged master to the council.

It had quickly been
decided, for Obi-Wan’s dignity, to not let too many know except
those with the need to know to help him get back to his aged form.
And that meant that Anakin was going to take care of his master after
he had gotten clothes from the creche.

Officially Obi-Wan
was gone on a mission and Anakin was on some much needed
decompression time.

The truth however
was this.

And hey, Anakin
didn’t mind so much…though he was starting to miss his old master
quite a bit.

There was a
smacking noise and wetness on his cheek suddenly and Anakin blinked
in surprise as he peered at Obi-Wan who stared back with those big
eyes and quivering lips. “Aba sad.” He whined softly.

‘Gotta remember
he’s just a baby now…’ Anakin reached up and petted Obi-Wan’s
cheek with his free hand, giving him a smile. “Just a little bit
but you’re here so its all going to be better.” He cooed softly,
sitting down on his and Padme’s couch to cuddle with Obi-Wan as he
dropped the bag of packed diapers, food and general baby stuff for
Obi-Wan.

Hey he was allowed
to take Obi-Wan out after all and he could use it to visit Padme.

Honestly he was
sure she’d be thrilled to see the redhead.

Giggling a bit when
Anakin tickled at his chubby stomach, Obi-Wan flailed at his hands at
Anakin’s stronger one. “Nuuuu! Aba!” He wiggled his legs.

‘I wonder when
Obi-Wan grew so serious. He’s such a gleeful child.’ Anakin
grinned and happily grabbed the redhead, throwing him lightly up in
the air to hear the delighted squeals of a joyful boy.

For smallsteps may we please have some bonding with the clones? For example, the clones are extra protective of their tiny general, the 212th especially. Thank you so much for write and I’m so sorry you’ve had to deal with such toxic crap. You deserve to be spoken to politely. After all you done HAVE to write for us.

Coughing harshly
into the napkin he had been given, Obi-Wan’s tiny body shook
heavily in the grasp of his Commander as the man carried him about to
make traversing much easier on his General turned into a child.

Obi-Wan had
insisted to be allowed to do something, practically anything
for the Order and the war effort and eventually they had given into
the insistence and pleading eyes of the chubby cheeked child.

Oh Anakin had not
been happy about it until Windu had pulled him aside and had
whispered something quietly to him and then he had reluctantly
agreed.

Obi-Wan and the
212th had been put to refugee duty, helping people either
flee war torn planets and resettle in safer core worlds if they no
longer wanted to stay or help them rebuild building and get them
supplies after the war had ravaged their homes.

And it was
something worth while to do that Obi-Wan could supervise his men
while doing but…

Well there was an
unforeseen consequence to it all.

Obi-Wan, the adult,
had all his immunization shots.

Obi-Wan, three and
a half, did not.

So he had gotten
sick mingling with all the refugees on planets where the sewer
systems had broken apart and hygiene might have come second hand in
the desperate need to survive.

Which explained the
terrible cold Obi-Wan currently had and why he was allowing his very
protective Commander to carry him around on his hip while stroking
his back each time he started coughing.

His petite body
shook with cold spasms and fever ached his bones while the coughing
hurt his throat and lungs. Food didn’t taste right and his nose
felt like it was perpetually leaking fluids which made Obi-Wan feel
even grosser.

At least now he had
clothes that fit him.

The creche had been
quick to equip him with a full set of clothes, small robes, tunics,
socks, leggings and shoes. And when they heard he was shipping out on
missions he was also given mittens, scarves and a few beanies and it
was only a tiny bit embarrassing that they were covered in tiny
little sabers.

Honestly with all
the other stuff going on, Obi-Wan was quietly pleased about the
sabers on his mittens and scarves.

Settling his
flushed cheek on Cody’s cold chest plate, he blew his nose and
sighed heavily. “Do you think Helix has a stim he can give me for
my headache?” He questioned, tone miserable and his question alone
telling Cody that Obi-Wan was on the edge of it all.

“We can hear with
him General.” Cody said as he made his way towards their camp from
the refugee one. “I’m sure if nothing else we can make you a cup
of herbal tea and keep you warm at least. And hear if there’s
anything else we can give you.” He tucked Obi-Wan closer to his
body.

And while the
others armor covered body couldn’t warm Obi-Wan, the feeling of
protective worry washed over him in a steady stream that warmed
Obi-Wan from the inside out.

It was clear that
Cody didn’t want to leave him alone at all but the Commander
eventually handed Obi-Wan over to Gus and Longshot to care for as he
stomped back to the refugee camp to continue with the supplies.

Longshot wasted no
time in throwing a bunch of pillows and blankets into a tent and
cuddling in with Obi-Wan after the Jedi had been given cold meds by
Helix to try and ease the worst of his symptoms.

Gus had rigged a
holo to play a frankly childish cartoon movie but…

Obi-Wan was
honestly enjoying it, curled up against Longshot’s warm chest with
the clones arms around him, herbal tea in a sealed cup to sip from
and blankets covering him with pillows around. It was warm and
comfortable and from Gus and Longshot the same sensation of worried
protectiveness curled around him, once more warming the Jedi from the
inside.

Perhaps it was his
current hormones and the neurochemicals he was now in possession of
with his child body but it felt nice to be cared for and protected
and as Gus tucked the bear like beige colored plushie Ahsoka had
given him.

It had made him
embarrassed and ashamed at first but cuddling it tended to help his
anxieties and at the moment, sick as he was, Obi-Wan was just
grateful.

Perhaps his
situation wasn’t totally terrible.

For «small steps» can we have more of ani/baby obi wan bonding? maybe ano realising obi-wan DOES feel super deeply, but just is really good at pushing his feelings down as an adult. AND that palps is being manipulative when he tries to make ani think obiwan doesn’t care. idk, seeing a toddler being all pitiful would prob help their relationship

Holding on tightly
as Obi-Wan trembled in his arms, Anakin stared out the window of the
hallway as he stood outside the Chancellor’s office as he tried to
digest what had just happened.

Palpatine
suggesting that Obi-Wan was holding him back, Obi-Wan’s emotions
going high wire, the shock on Palpatine’s face when Obi-Wan had
started to cry…

Anakin picking
Obi-Wan up and into his arms and basically running out of the office
with his master while throwing a hasty goodbye over his shoulder.

Slowly Anakin held
Obi-Wan’s jerky body even tighter to him as he tried to listen to
the other babbling apologies into his tunic with the small fists
latched in Anakin’s black tabards.

Feeling like he was
in a daze, Anakin slowly made his way down the hall to where he knew
there was an alcove he and Obi-Wan could hide away in for a bit, a
place he knew off because of Padme and tiny snogging they’ve done
in the Senate.

Settling his back
against the wall, he rocked Obi-Wan while rubbing his back with his
mech hand, humming as he held the other tightly to him as the man in
child body sobbed.

It was
heartbreaking.

Heartbreaking and
unusual and Anakin wasn’t sure what to do outside of trying to calm
Obi-Wan down and Force it hurt so much to hear him cry when Anakin
was struggling to ease his pain and vulnerabilities.

Eventually the
tears ended but only because the other didn’t seem to have anymore
water in him to keep the waterworks going.

Slowly, hesitantly,
Anakin reached up and cupped the others chin with his fingers to tilt
his face up, staring at Obi-Wan’s red eyes and runny nose for a
long moment as Obi-Wan leaked both misery and shame into the Force.

“I’m sorry
Anakin… I can’t… this body.” Obi-Wan hiccuped.

“No, no its okay.
He shouldn’t have said that Obi-Wan.” Anakin assured, shifting
the other closer to him.

There was a time he
would have agreed with Palpatine though but faced with the tear
stained face of Obi-Wan and the misery just filling the Force, it was
clear that the redhead wasn’t… he felt deeply but was just good
at hiding it.

But now, with his
brain chemicals and hormones all in unbalance he no longer had that
fine control he had earned with adulthood.

Slowly Anakin dried
what he imagined was sore eyes and reddened cheeks before pressing
his master in shape of a toddler tightly to his chest, hugging him.
“Come on, lets just get home. We can watch a holo movie together
and have tea and snacks, what do you say?” He offered.

Obi-Wan gave a
little sniffle and then plucked on Anakin’s tabard where he had
rubbed tears and snot earlier. “…Can I sit in your lap? W-With
the plushie Ahsoka found for me?” He whispered quietly, sounding
ashamed even as he said it.

“Yeah, we can do
that.” Anakin assured quickly, adding a smile to the other so
Obi-Wan wouldn’t feel so self conscious about it. “We can drag
the duvet from the bedroom too and cuddle up on the couch together.”

Smiling meekly in
return, Obi-Wan settled his cheek on Anakin’s collarbone. “…Thank
you.” He whispered.
