Pssst, Everdark/blinded Obi… they missed a bug egg. And now Obi, who is reacting to so much, can feeeeel something, and it’s wiggling. What do you think? Massive psychiatric trauma for everybody!!

It sounded like scratching, like
something was twitching in his head.

Obi-Wan struggled to move along, cane
on the floor as he hesitantly made his way around the temple as
everyone’s thoughts and emotions brushed out against him before
they noticed him and shored up their own shields to help him.

He knew that everyone could feel him in
return.

His shielding were shoddy and ruined
since Maul’s attack and the loss of his eyes. Sometimes Obi-Wan
woke up swearing he could feel the bugs and smell the honey still, a
silent cry on his lips, his mind feeling raw from the day where he
had no barriers to protect him anymore.

And it was getting worse.

He couldn’t shield worth shavit
anymore.

He was broadcasting worse than an
initiate and so far he’d been taken aside by no less then four
fellow council members in an attempt to help him.

And yet…

Obi-Wan was getting worse, it was
getting so bad that even borrowed shields were degrading too quickly
to justifies the power use and he swore he could feel something
moving inside of his head.

There was something wrong, Obi-Wan was
sure of it and at this point of his paranoia he was almost willing to
go to the healers to check but…

He knew, from feeling others emotions
and thoughts, that they thought he was being paranoid and having
flashback.

But…

Stopping against the wall so he
wouldn’t be in anyone’s way, Obi-Wan reached up to touch the
bandages wrapped around his empty eye sockets, brushing it as gently
as he could to feel where it would dent in. His fingers came away wet
and after a moment of shock, Obi-Wan lowered his fingers to sniff it.

It smelled like infection and with that
Obi-Wan turned around and headed back the hall he had come with his
heart beating rapidly.

He was going to the healers.

()()()

“Well it seems like there might be an
infection master Kenobi.” Healer Querno said cheerfully as he
continued unwrapping his bandages.

Obi-Wan forced himself not to think or
say anything as he knew that he had no shielding, because remaining
on a healers good side was important and Obi-Wan was going to think
something very bad if Querno continued to be so cheerful about the
damn situation and heard Anakin laugh quietly at that thought,
imagining the other leaning against the wall as he watched Obi-Wan.

Right, broadcasting. Stupid Anakin
catching him on the way to the healers.

“Now now Master Kenobi, I know the
situation is less than ideal but I’m sure we can handle it.”
Querno laughed with Anakin, removing the last of the bandage off
Obi-Wan’s face to expose the empty sockets. “Now le-” Whatever
Querno was going to say was broken off by a loud SQUEAK and Obi-Wan’s
hands clenched down on the bed in shock as Anakin gave a loud and
vulgar huttese curse.

Shaking, Obi-Wan could feel something
crawling out of his right socket, wiggling slowly inside the cavity
as it did with the brush of what must be wings touching the edges,
something with tiny sticky legs and if his tear ducts still worked he
would have been crying at that moment he was pretty sure.

Anakin’s hands, something Obi-Wan was
able to tell from the way it was a mech and flesh arm, clamped down
on his upper arms to keep him still as the healer jerked into motion,
Obi-Wan feeling the brief touch of metal against his cheek before
there was a jerk and then a stamping of a foot on the floor and a
crunching noise.

Silence.

Trembling as he listened to the healer
panting with both his and Anakin’s shock battered against his mind,
Obi-Wan finally gave into a whimper. “Please… put me under. Put
me under right now.” He whispered out.

Blessed darkness greeted him as Anakin
instantly followed the request without hesitation.

Well, this is me going full evil. Everdark/blinded Obi, Maul hurts Obi and his friends with the torture, but what about a mental torture? This Force inhibitor is maybe a non-standard one? Maybe Sith? Maybe designed to oh, say, DESTROY THE ABILITY TO SHIELD?? So as Obi wakes up from the seriously strong sleeping drug he/they find out he can no longer block ANYTHING/ANYONE. OWWW

Breathing slow, Obi-Wan laid on his side with his hands near his
head. He tried not to move, tried not to give the indication that he
was awake because he knew the moment he moved, he knew that Kix would
call for Anakin.

And Obi-Wan needed…

Force he needed just a few moments.

Just…

Everything hurt.

Everything hurt because his eyes… the bugs… the sand filling the
gaps, the gnawing of little mouths…

The memory made him shudder and a breath harsher then the rest escape
him.

“General?” Kix voice, a gentle touch to his shoulder but Obi-Wan
remained still beneath the touch even as Kix pressed his fingers to
his neck to test his pulse.

Slowly, hesitantly retreating, Kix left him alone again.

Obi-Wan wasn’t honestly sure he had tricked the medic but after ten
minutes, he figured he might have when Anakin did not suddenly
appeared.

There was another part to being blind too though.

The Force suppressor Maul had used had been of Sith design, the
effect of it on his mind becoming clear when he woke up to feel the
entire ship and its living inhabitants like stabbing needles, unable
to bring up a shield to guard his battered mind until Anakin provided
help, holding the blinded man until Obi-Wan could bring battered
shields into existence that was slowly corroding until Anakin had
provided him with a steady shield created by the younger Jedi under
stuttered instructions from Obi-Wan.

There was a sound of a door opening, a soft swish with quiet steps
leaving.

Obi-Wan took a deeper breath then slowly sat up on the bed, arms
trembling a bit before he lifted them and reached around, trying to
navigate a bit towards the end of the bed. Slowly he found his way to
the base and sat there for what felt like an hour but must have been
a minute before Obi-Wan slowly pushed himself up on trembling legs.

As he did, he felt Anakin’s alarm as the younger Jedi finally
noticed he was awake and on the move.

Kark.

Blindly, Obi-Wan made his trembling way towards the fresher, stubbing
his toes the entire way and bumping his hands into other beds.

But he still reached the fresher before Anakin reached the medbay.

Slowly Obi-Wan shed his clothes and stepped into the fresher, keeping
the bandages around his head on as he turned on the faucet, needing…

He swore he could still feel sand despite being assured he had been
cleaned up but he needed water, needed it to just…he could still
feel the bugs.

He shuddered a bit, feeling the spray of lukewarm water roll down his
body, soaking the bandages.

There was a knock on the door. “Obi-Wan? Can I come in?”

Obi-Wan waited for a few moments before answering. “Yes Anakin.
Come in.”

There was a cool sensation of air for a few seconds as the door
opened and then closed quickly. “Hey… you’re awake again.”
The blond greeted.

“Mmmn…” Obi-Wan remained under the spray, morbidly wondering if
he was getting water in his eye sockets. He could feel Anakin watch
him quietly and was about to say something because it felt like he
should when the other spoke up.

“Want me to wash your hair and back? I imagine you feel like you
got sand all over.” Anakin questioned.

“…Please?” Obi-Wan whispered. He kept still as Anakin
approached him, half wondering if the other had removed his tunic
before just settling as gentle hands started to rub soap into his
hair under the spray. “… Thank you Anakin.” He whispered,
barely heard over the spray.

Gentle hands didn’t stop their task. “I got your back Obi-Wan.”
The blond quietly assured.

The blond quietly assured.

I… I… may have a thing for your blind!Obi works? Could we maaaaaaybe see Obi purposefully blinded by someone and the Clones and Anakin just going from like… 75 to 200?

Watching the other for a long moment, Obi-Wan raised his eyebrow
finally. “I was expecting more gloating then this but so far you’ve
been surprisingly quiet about it all, considering how you and your
brother managed to catch me on your lonesome.” He drawled as Maul
continued to examine a jar of something amber like in his hand.

At his words however, Maul looked down at the Jedi buried to his neck
in the sand where he had buried the once unconscious Jedi Master.
Slowly a smirk spread over his lips as he tilted his head. “I had
so much time to think about revenge against you, I thought about
killing the people you cared for, I thought about just killing you
and then… I thought about what you took from me, now I want to
return the favor.” He drawled before moving closer to him, kneeling
down as he held out the jar to Obi-Wan. “Do you know what this is?”

Eyeing the jar warily, Obi-Wan hummed as he tried to avoid getting
sand in his eyes. “Looks like honey.”

“Honey mixed with bug pheromones. The burrow beetle to be precise.”
The two stared at each other.

Slowly Obi-Wan took a deep breath. “…You’re going to pour that
on my head aren’t you.” He said, catching on to why he was buried
to his neck in sand.

“I’m going to pour this on your head and particularly on and
around your eyes.” Maul murmured, eyes lighting up in unholy glee.
“Then I’m going to step back and watch until I get bored. Once I
get bored I will leave behind the droid to film everything that
happens Kenobi.” He laughed wickedly. “I hope I get to personally
watch them eat your eyes.” He cackled a bit louder,
attracting Savage’s attention from where the other zabrak was
setting up the droid.

Obi-Wan swallowed heavily at that.

In the warm sand, his body trembled as he tried to control his fear.

This was going to hurt and thanks to the Force inhibitor in his body,
curtsy of Maul, he wouldn’t be able to siphon off the pain or
defend himself against the incoming bugs.

As Maul uncorked the jar and turned it over his head, Obi-Wan let out
a sharp breath of panic.

()()()

“We managed to remove the live and dead beetles with some ease but
the larva had… burrowed in quite deeply and we needed to use
tweezers to remove them quite far out of the eye sockets. He…
twitched while we were doing it.” Kix managed to get out, Anakin
staring at him with his arms crossed over his chest.

As Anakin remembered, the burrow beetle would have gone for the
softest flesh first, that would have been Obi-Wan’s eyes and after
that…

He nodded for Kix to continue when the medic hesitated, watching how
the man took a deep breath before continuing on. “There was some
infection to wash out but we managed that quite easily too though
General Kenobi had quite a few different types of insects that were
tempted by the honey he was coated with, which was the purpose of it
in the start I would assume. But… the General now is blind. There
is no nerves left even for cybernetic implants thanks to the larva.”
He confessed.

Anakin nodded slowly before patting Kix heavily on the shoulder and
moving to the bed where Obi-Wan rested with bandages wrapped around
his head.

Heavily sedated, cleaned up and dressed in a generic gown, Obi-Wan
continued steadily breathing. His face was sunburned and insect
bitten and Anakin settled quietly down on the end of the bed to take
his hand in his, rubbing the sand raw flesh gently in his.

He was going to karking kill Maul.

He was going to tear him limb from limb and he knew the vode of 212th
would join him in that particular endeavor. “My poor Master…”
He whispered, rubbing his hand gently as he took in the chapped lips
with tiny sores covering them.

I… I… may have a thing for your blind!Obi works? Could we maaaaaaybe see Obi purposefully blinded by someone and the Clones and Anakin just going from like… 75 to 200?

Can we have a follow up on Wolffe Obi soulmates ? They were so good! Perhaps Wolffe getting transfered to be with his blind lover?

Obi-Wan does not have a seeing eye dog.

He has a seeing eye clone.

More specifically, he has Wolffe. Cane in one hand and other on the
elbow of Wolffe’s arm as he’s still learning how to function
blind. It was a slow learning curve.

Obi-Wan first had to admit that he was blind and that had taken…
well a few days for Obi-Wan to admit he would never be able to see
again and that he required help at least initially to start his days
and learn how to function again.

His poor soul mate was so stubbornly self sufficient that it was
driving Wolffe up the walls in the two first weeks, had nicked
himself several times when shaving once already and had tripped over
more stray items then ever from carpets to tables to random bits
having been forgotten on the floor by others to even a chair leg.

His poor legs were bruised and bleeding most of those days and the
inside of his palms had little scabs from catching himself and Wolffe
was sure that had he been able to feel the Force, Obi-Wan’s aura or
whatever Jedi called it would have been full of frustration and
perhaps a little bit of unacknowledged fear.

Wolffe had put his foot down when Obi-Wan had managed to slam his
head on a doorway and give himself a head wound that actually
required stitches and bacta!

He’d firmly sat his soulmate down after they had been to the Halls
and spoken to him in serious and harsh tones until Obi-Wan started
crying, finally admitting that he would never see again and that he
needed help.

He hadn’t stopped crying for twenty straight minutes as Wolffe held
him tightly and offered comfort in the most tactile of ways he knew
by stroking his hair and cheeks gently.

But it had been a step in the right way to recovery, making Obi-Wan
admit that he did need help, that he wasn’t just magically going to
get better and that he needed aids to recover and get back his
autonomy over himself.

And aids like Wolffe being transferred to helping Obi-Wan and the
cane that was used to tell him when something inorganic was right in
front of him were also a start in the right direction.

It had cut down on the number of accidents at least and the bruises
were turning from violent blue and purple to mottled shades of
yellow.

There had been some talk of getting Obi-Wan a seeing eye anooba but
Plo had gently cut that idea down by saying that Wolffe would be more
then enough to help out Obi-Wan while simultaneously providing both
company and support until Obi-Wan could once again return to field.

Wolffe half hoped his lover and soulmate wouldn’t return to active
field again but knew that wish was hopeless.

Eventually Obi-Wan would find his footing again and put himself in
danger on the field like always but… well you couldn’t blame
Wolffe for being protective.

“I can hear you think.” Obi-Wan whispered softly.

Wolffe looked up from the bruised but well shaped legs he had gently
been stroking to look up the couch where his lover had been laying,
legs in the commander’s lap. “Mmmn.” He hummed.

“What are you thinking?” He murmured curiously and Wolffe
couldn’t help a small laugh.

“Thought you could hear me think.” He teased, squeezing his toes
lightly which caused Obi-Wan to snort.

“Just that you were thinking, not what.” He smiled sleepily.

Wolffe hummed then reached up until he could stroke the soulmark on
the others hip. “Just… how gorgeous you are and how kriffing
lucky I am to have you in my life, that’s all.” He murmured,
knowing that Obi-Wan needed reassurance.

There was that hesitant look on Obi-Wan’s sleep doped face before
it broke out into a shy and grateful smile. “And I’m lucky for
having you Wol.”

“Don’t you forget it riduur.” Wolffe chuckled, grasping the
others hand and squeezing it gently.

Now that you have made Obi-Wan and Wolffe a pairing. I can imagine a version of a blind Obi-Wan and Wolffe together. And Wolffe being very very protective his little blind fox. (This is just a thought and not a prompt idea unless you like it). You da best Moddy!!

Everyone was avoiding his eyes as Wolffe practically ran from the
hanger of the Negotiator towards its medbay, he didn’t even wait on
General Skywalker or Koon to give permission. Only one thought was
clear in his mind.

Obi-Wan.

Only Obi-Wan.

Several shinies he didn’t know the name of jumped out of his way as
the wolf pack leader actually broke into a run to the end of the
hallway where he slammed into an elevator, slamming the button that
would bring him to the star destroyer level that held the medbay.

He was already agitated, the lift much too slow in his mind as it
finally came to a halt and opened the door to the right floor and off
again Wolffe shot.

“Wolf-” Cody tried to stop him right outside the medbay but the
commander ignored the marshal commander and moved right into the
medbay, finding the only occupied bed with ease.

Obi-Wan laid in it, pale and asleep, his face clean shaven which made
him look so much younger and his hair shorter then Wolffe ever
remembered seeing it, practically only spikes. He was covered in a
thick duvet that was clearly not medbay standard and propped up by
several pillows as he breathed slowly and steadily.

“Wolffe wait.” Cody caught him by the elbow before he could move
to the bed and the vod snarled at him, looking at Cody with narrowed
eyes. “Wolffe, please…” Cody amended.

Forcing himself to calm down, Wolffe took a deep breath. “…What?”
He growled out.

“You need to be careful. The flashbang, he was way to close to it,
its why he’s currently clean shaven and short haired, it singed him
but…” Cody took a deep breath. “Vod, it ruined his retinas,
Helix says he’s blind.” He murmured quietly. “The General
doesn’t know yet. He hasn’t woken up yet to be informed.” Cody
swallowed hard, his face wracked with guilt and a bit of shame,
obviously blaming himself.

Wolffe stared at his vod, blinking a bit before looking back to where
Obi-Wan was curled up on the bed among pillows, looking fragile and
pale in the harsh light of the medbay.

Carefully he shook the others arm off his elbow and moved to the bed,
reaching to the others face and cupping it with care, taking note of
how pink some of the skin of his face was. ‘Singed… bacta must
have healed the external wounds and the damaged skin.’ Wolffe’s
mind supplied even as he carefully lifted one of Obi-Wan’s eye
lids.

To his gaze, the eye looked undamaged but… if Helix said he was
blind, then that was it.

Obi-Wan was blind, his riduur.

‘Oh you stupid Jedi…’ Wolffe sat down heavily on the edge and
took one of Obi-Wan’s hand, intent on waiting for him to wake for
however long it took.

Skywalker and Koon had managed to catch up by the time Obi-Wan was
slowly surfacing, the redhead making quiet, confused noises. “Wol?”
He croaked, blinking his eyes and flickering them around.

“Here.” Wolffe lifted the others hand to his lips.

Carefully, Obi-Wan cupped the others face, blinking a few times.
“…Wollfe, its dark, I can’t see.” He whispered out, licking
his lips.

“I know.” Wolffe pressed the others hand to his cheek.

Blinking a bit more, the two words seemed to alert Obi-Wan to the
situation. “…Oh.” The Jedi sighed. “…The flash grenade…”
He closed his eyes tightly.

“Its going to be okay riduur, I’m here for you.” Wolffe
murmured quietly, glancing over to where Skywalker was standing,
speaking in low tones with Helix. “Its going to be okay.” He
squeezed down on the others hand.
