I would love to know your actual opinion on Anakin turning to the dark side. There was that episode in The Clone Wars where the Father told Anakin there would be grave consequences for his selfishness to not stay on Mortis. Therefore, was becoming Darth Vader imminent?Or would there just be another thing incoming had he not turned?Did the Father really have a hand in him turning or was that just a warning? Btw Obi Wan is my absolute favourite character and my blood boils anytime Anakin hurts him

Oh man like I really consider it
just a thing of free will.

Cause
the dark side is a choice one makes unless one is twisted by someone
else or injected with that weird poison from that dragon in the EU
legends and Anakin had choices and he had options. He had free will
and yes Palpatine manipulated the situations and pushed him and
outright groomed
him from a young age.

But
in the end he chose.

I
feel like if someone paid attention, if Anakin reached out to someone
(aka Obi-Wan) and told what was going on or even just let go of his
anger about things then he wouldn’t have fallen.

Like
letting go of the Jedi to ‘just’ be Padme’s husband.

Let
go of Padme to be a Jedi he so craved.

Let
go of his rage about his mothers murder and torture, awful as that
was, normal grief can make people insane too without the Force powers
tacked on and a light and dark side.

So
in the end I think Anakin choose and he chose badly with so many
things conspiring against him.

I
won’t say he alone
was to blame.

I
mean fuck the Jedi did a lot of wrong (or more like the council with
their heads shoved up their asses really) and then there was
Palpatine and the war making everything worse but Anakin is in the
end the one who knelt before Palpatine, marched on the Jedi temple
and killed kids.

Its
a bit like our world, you can chose to behave like a civilized person
or you can go murder someone.

Anakin
chose, based on fear, anger and darkness and it killed almost all the
Jedi, doomed the galaxy into Palpatine’s tyrannical rule where he
instated slavery and made the world bleaker.

Are there any characters in Star wars that Moddy dislikes or hates yet respects at the same time? We all know you love ObiWan haha but I’m wondering if there are popular character on the good side so to say that you dislike.

(I am SO sorry for not seeing this before! I just saw it while going through all the prompts!)

Mmm
to be honest yes, Satine comes to mind very quickly and sharply.

I
don’t like her on a personal level yet
I don’t hate her either as she’s a very well put together
character and person and yet
the choices she’s made for Mandalore seems wrong to me and to
banish people just because they wont fall in line to your ideas…
well it just seems wrong to me for someone who takes pacifism to an
extreme level to the point of exerting your will out over
Mandalorians who seems to have fire in their veins and Satine is in a
way battling too, she’s just chosen to use words as her weapons.

Bluntly
she’s honestly stifling a lot of traditions that seem innate to
Mandalorians and I understand she saw enough of bloodshed during the
Mandalorian civil war but there seems to me that there should have
been a different way to go about it with her idealisme than ‘get off the planet if you can’t follow these new rules’.

Yet
I can’t help but respect her as a strong and capable character and
maybe also as a
ruler though she went wrong. She has an iron will I’ll give her and  the amount of salty sass hidden in her dress could poison a planet
I swear haha.

But
yeah, Satine comes strongly to mind as a character I don’t really
like but strongly respect for her abilities.

I’m
uncertain on her death though, I feel like that was just a ploy for
man pain for Obi-Wan by the creators.

Btw,
before someone comments on this post, you can dislike a character yet
utterly respect them at the same time. This is just a personal thing
to Moddy just like I utterly dislike Owen Lars. Just personal
opinions that I don’t expect anyone else to mirror.

What are your favorite and less favorite rare pair ?

Huh,
favorite rare pair… I would think that RexObi counts as a rare
pair? I also enjoy RexObiCody which is kind of rare.

To
be honest I don’t really read pairings I don’t enjoy?

I
mean yes, I don’t love all parings equally but I don’t have any I
dislike really. Maybe CadObi is on the lower range of my rare pair liking? I got other pairings I don’t like but that’s not rare.

In a lot of Qui/Obi fic, there’s a convention of Qui-Gon referring to Obi-Wan as «Imp» for «impertinent» or «impish»…. I was wondering where this came from. Is it fanon and/or is there legend or canon material on which it is based? Thanks!

I’m honestly not sure myself. I’ve seen it in fandom too a lot and I do believe its a referance to his impish nature since he can be a bit mischivious but I’m not certain if it comes from the Jedi apprentice novels.

Maybe someone who has read them can answer here?
