Hi Moddy :-) If you are feeling in an A/B/O mood, may we have some more ‘onlyone’? The hunters/Council returns, and maybe finds that Anakin and ObiWan have been declining invites from the Supreme Chancellor, who is a bit annoyed by them ignoring him? And Obi admits that Palp’s gives him the same look/feel/instinctive shudder as Maul does(did)? Investigation time anyone?? Thank you!!
Not bothering to
lift his head off Anakin’s thigh at all as there was a knock,
Obi-Wan squinted at Ahsoka as the young togruta jumped to her feet to
answer the door at Anakin’s request. He figured she was only doing
it without argument because of Obi-Wan using Anakin’s lap as a
pillow but he wasn’t about to complain if it allowed him to keep
feeling comfortable.
“Oh! Master
Windu, Master Gallia. Please come in.” Ahsoka’s voice floated
over the couch and Obi-Wan shifted to sit up only for Anakin to
firmly but gently press a hand to his shoulder to keep him in place.
Grumbling faintly
but too tired to actually leave the comfort he was currently
enjoying, Obi-Wan watched as Ahsoka returned to her spot where she
had been working on her homework on the floor and then as Mace and
Adi came around the couch to sit down, greeting Anakin and Obi-Wan,
the latter with small grins at his obvious comfort.
It made Obi-Wan
whine at them then turn his face to hide in the dark leggings.
In that
distraction, Anakin quickly made a few hand signs to the other alphas
with curious and concerned eyes.
Adi responded just
as quickly with Mace letting out a frankly blood chilling smile for a
few seconds before he turned placid again.
Both the signs and
Mace expression made Anakin melt against the couch as he settled his
hand on Obi-Wan’s shoulder, rubbing it as he shielded Obi-Wan
against his relief at the information the two council members had
given him.
Maul and Savage
would never touch Obi-Wan again.
The council had
made sure that the threat against Obi-Wan had been taken care off.
“So, Kit had an
interesting message for us. He said you’ve been holed up in the
temple and every time you go to the Senate you’ve waited until
someone else could go with you.” Adi said out loud. “Something
you want to tell us Obi-Wan?” She questioned curiously.
That finally had
Obi-Wan turn his face away from the dark cloth to blink at her before
he gave a tired shrug. “The chancellor has been… inviting us to
speak lately. He’s…” Obi-Wan started to frown as Anakin peered
down at him curiously.
He hadn’t gotten
a proper answer out of him why Obi-Wan didn’t want to be around the
chancellor if he could help it. Perhaps he would now?
Shifting a bit,
Obi-Wan sighed quietly. “Look, this is just the impressions I get,
alright? They might not mean anything.” He glanced up at Anakin,
frowning.
The knight blinked
at that, suspicion creeping along his spine. Obi-Wan was worried what
he was about to say would upset Anakin, which meant it was something
bad about Palpatine.
“Just tell us
Obi-Wan.” Mace rumbled quietly, Ahsoka peering up from her work at
the adults.
Sitting up, the
omega ran a hand over the nap of his neck wit ha small frown. “He…
creeps me out. There’s something creepy about him that makes me
feel… tense and antsy.” He mumbled out, a small shudder going
through his frame.
Anakin blinked at
that, staring at it.
He’d seen Obi-Wan
do that shudder before in response to Maul but to see it in
connection to Chancellor Palpatine…
He shifted his arm
around him, feeling Obi-Wan flop against him a bit. “Well, best
keep you away from him then.” He offered airily, trying not to let
on his worries.
But it was
worrying.
Because Obi-Wan’s
omega instincts were usually right.
Which meant that
Palpatine was pinging it in a bad manner.
