I don’t know if you’re still doing the tiny!Obi series but if you are could you do a story where they find the lab were obi was made short and there’s a some medicine that can make him tall but only for a period of time? And is there any side effects like he becomes deathly ill? It’s fine if you don’t want to continue this series or if you’d rather not right this I’m just here to make a suggestion

TinyObi is honestly among the abandoned story lines, its one of my earliest stories and its rather full of crack haha. THAT however said I would be willing to reboot it should people want it.

Oh please tell me we’re getting garandpa dooku in life in music?

Now, Obi-Wan had meet a lot of Jedi lately.

A lot of masters and knights that wanted to be his masters and had tried to impress him as much as possible.

Some were the spacer kinds, some were rough around the edges so to speak, some were refined, graceful, polite, Shadows, undercover agents, hunters and so on and so forth.

Every brand and race the Jedi had to boast of in their numbers.

And yet, Obi-Wan could safely say that he had never seen one like Yan Dooku.

He wasn’t unique because he was a master.

He was certainly not unique because he was a human, there were a thousand humans in the order, some baseline and some not.

He was not unique in his slightly darkened Force aura, there were members like Mace Windu and others who had that.

And there were others again that carried the same refinement and grace that Yan Dooku had.

No, what made Yan Dooku unique…

Was the way he looked at Obi-Wan and meant it.

The way he actually welcomed Obi-Wan to his lineage, wasn’t upset that he hadn’t been picked and was quite willing to kick his own former padawan’s arse if he didn’t treat Obi-Wan well.

Obi-Wan could safely say that he might actually be able to trust Yan Dooku, even should he displease him.

And that was a new thing.

Outside of a very few selective crechemasters, Obi-Wan would not say he trusted adults all that much.

And even Qui-Gon was someone he was a bit leery of at times.

He was quite aware of his master’s past and reputation thank you very much and he was worried the other would suddenly decide that having a padawan was not for him.

Another point in the master’s favor was that he had not once during the meal he had invited both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan to, asked about Obi-Wan’s peculiar ability.

He had asked about Obi-Wan’s skills in general, had asked for Obi-Wan’s grades, his studies and so on and forth.

But never once about his ability within music.

Or well, he had asked what instruments Obi-Wan could play and if he had ever played the Horizons of Kabal, a demanding violin based song that featured in a musical from Mon Cala.

But that hadn’t been about the ability Obi-Wan had discovered and more about his prowess as a musician.

He couldn’t, just so that was known, which was why Yan had offered to take him see the musical and hear it for himself.

Well, Qui-Gon needed to know Obi-Wan’s ability, as his master, he needed to know so how to help him train for the future, he got a pass on asking about Obi-Wan’s skills and understanding of his own ability.

It was different with the older man.

Yan Dooku didn’t want to know because he was going to train him or wanted to, he wanted to know Obi-Wan’s skill with violin for normal music reasons.

It made Obi-Wan feel oddly touched and he was looking forward to the musical master Yan wanted to take him to.

Clearly, Qui-Gon knew that, considering he spent most of the conversation lightly smiling over the table at Obi-Wan while rolling his eyes as Yan bemoaned his padawan lack of refinement, Qui-Gon preferring to run of with the locals, get shitting drunk and have a hoedown apparently.

The image of the two made Obi-Wan grin as Qui-Gon lightly ribbed his old master and Yan ribbed him right back in their own way.

He wanted what Qui-Gon and Yan had, he hoped he could have this kind of master and padawan experience.

Hi Moody, hope you’re doing alright with lock down and everything. What’s going on in light through the cracks? How’s Obi-Wan progressing and please tell me that someone has realised/prevented palatine from interacting with anakin or something?

“Obi-Wan!”

Head snapping up from the text he had been reading, Obi-Wan’s eyes widened in surprise as his padawan was standing in the doorway one moment and the next moment he was on his feet, Anakin crashing into his him.

The two tumbled back onto the bed, Anakin’s arm wrapped tightly around his waist and Obi-Wan’s wrapped around the small body as he hefted him up to hold on.

He barely noticed Plo entering and closing the door, simply held onto his boy.

His padawan.

Force he had missed his padawan so much, he hadn’t realized just how much he missed him.

Shuddering, Obi-Wan nuzzled into the short spikes of the others hair, ignoring how the pad was now trapped beneath his body as he focused on the feel, scent and sensation in the Force of Anakin, of his padawan in his arms.

‘I’m not going to cry, I’m not going to cry…’ Obi-Wan clenched his eyes shut, feeling how his eyes were watering as he clung to the blond in his arms.

He failed when Anakin let out a small hiccuping sob, starting to cry into the others hair as he levered Anakin up until the boy was resting his face in the crook of Obi-Wan’s neck, feeling the wet, warm tears soaking into his neck.

It opened up his own waterworks as he cried. “Its okay Anakin, its okay padawan, I’m here, I’m here Anakin.” He choked out, rocking the boy slowly as he held him, feeling the small fists holding onto Obi-Wan’s soft tunic.

He could feel Plo, monitoring the two and yet he couldn’t bring himself to care.

“I missed you so much Obi-Wan.” Anakin hiccuped into his skin.

Rubbing the others spine in uneven circles, Obi-Wan gave a wet laugh. “I missed you too kiddo. I didn’t know how much I missed you but oh, did I ever miss you.” He confessed. A burst of joy echoed in the Force, Obi-Wan unable to feel it in their bond and yet he could feel it in the Force.

That was enough and Obi-Wan pushed back from him enough to give him a watery smile, gently drying Anakin’s face with his hands.

Anakin gave his own giant smile back, despite crying. “You look better. You’re not as pale or gaunt.” He sniffled, snot beneath his nose.

Huffing faintly, drying Anakin’s face tenderly, Obi-Wan gave a small shrug. “The council has been looking after me as best they can. And… and I’m trying.” He added.

Trying for his friends, trying for Anakin.

Trying to better, trying to recover.

And having Anakin here in front of him, in his Force muted room, the literal sun Anakin was…

Looking away from Anakin for a bit, Obi-Wan nodded to Plo. “Thank you…” He stated quietly.

Nodding, Plo settled down in the armchair of the room, his mask echoing slightly as he took a deep breath. “Of course, your recovery is coming along well and you’ve been having a good period. Anakin visiting would only be good for you.” The kel dor smiled at the two humans.

It was good for Anakin too Obi-Wan would guess.

Smiling back, the redhead turned back to Anakin, stroking his flushed, tanned cheek. “How about you tell me what you’ve been up to, what you’re learning?” He encouraged quietly, settling in with the boy on his lap to hear.

He wanted to know everything.

And Anakin wanted to tell him everything.

By the time Anakin had run out of things to tell him, three hours, evening meal had come and four bottles of water had been consumed, the two eating together for the first time in weeks.

It was only once Anakin’s eyes were starting to droop that Plo softly stated it was time to leave, Anakin clinging to Obi-Wan.

“Could…” Obi-Wan hesitated, Plo pausing to listen. “Could I walk Anakin to where he is sleeping?” He finally whispered, staring up at the man with Anakin in his arms still, holding around him.

Plo stroked his chin, slowly, clearly eyeing Obi-Wan.

It would be the first time in two months that Obi-Wan had left the Halls.

So far he had only been in his room, the treatment room of the healers and the garden attached to the Halls where patients were encouraged to go for fresh air and meditation.

“…As long as you are wearing your muffling armband and are escorted back, I see no issue with that.” Plo finally decided, chuckling faintly as Obi-Wan stood with Anakin in his arms, intent on carrying the boy.

Just a few more minutes with Anakin.

Obi-Wan didn’t care if he had to walk naked back and forth, the muffling band and company to keep an eye on him were the easiest of terms to accept.

Okay, jedi, sith, both have issues, some completely fucking worse than the other. But I posit, why do either organisation really need to exist at all? Like since the Sith’s rule of 2 they’ve been better at killing the sith than the jedi, and the jedi, while they have this sort of vague role as «Peacekeeper», people, canonically, do not trust them, because they’re secretive and maybe get involved in things they shouldn’t. Like what would’ve happened if Luke didn’t bring the jedi back?

Why do schools of artistry exist, why do libraries exist, why do people gather in cults, why do LGBT people seek each other out *hands up*

I’m not sure how to explain that some people like to have others like themselves around honestly and I’m not sure why you think I can explain the star wars universe. I’m just a writer.

The two organizations exist, the early Force organizations that the Sith AND the Jedi evolved from before they split were adults that sought to understand the Force.

Like a guild of fucking wizards if you wish. You really think we wouldn’t have that in our world if we had magic or the Force or biotics from Mass effect?

As for people not trusting the Jedi, do you think they care for the most part?

They’re not only devoted to helping people but understanding the Force and finding balance in themselves. They help because they want even if most people would sell them for a cracker, some Jedi have a better nature even if you seem to think they are inherently a bad order and I can’t change your mind so I don’t see why you’re trying to pick a fight here.

I’m now gonna take anon off.

I feel like people hate the Jedi Order more than they hate the Jedi, like Plo Koon may be the best character in all of star wars hands down, but when you look into it the Jedi are, in a word, extremely suspect. They sort of do a lot of the shady shit the sith do but with a nice coat of paint over it, like taking children and stripping them of things that make life worth living in the name of their code. Also it can be questioned whether or not THEY care about ordinary people as individuals.

Yeees, the Jedi order don’t care about normal people

image

And its not like Force sensitive kids aren’t in constant danger… nooo

image

Or that the parents can say no to the Jedi and they will just TAKE the kid.. oh wait, they don’t parents can say no and the Jedi will go the fuck away

image

You wanna come here and tell me the Jedi are as shady as the Sith, you gotta come with something better hon. Jedi ain’t perfect but don’t you dare come here with that kidnapping bullshit and not caring considering the Jedi die for people who couldn’t give an effing fuck about them.

Honestly, ifs as if you WANTED me to go on a tirade. Please, keep your anti Jedi opinions to yourself. I’ve already stated they aren’t perfect, no real life organization honestly is and  I don’t expect them to be, you can go suck up to the Senate if you think they’re any better. Or the Sith since you seem to think the ‘I’m gonna torture my apprentices to the dark’ to be any better.

Ps: the whole stripping kids of what makes life worth it? You asshole. Btw, take a look at Anakin’s room with his toys and his fucking sebulba poster in the background. You think the kids are denied fucking toys and basic rights? Spirits be damned.

You are an utter tease in kyber tears Moddy, please let there be progress. All my love and sitting on the edge of my seat for things to do good.

Somehow, thankfully, Depa has not gone far and the unnatural flash of darkness suddenly swarming the halls summons her back in an a boost of Force enhanced run, the councilor more than likely breaking several unvoiced Hall rules in the process.

The chalactan stormed into the room before Cody could do more than take a few staggered, shocked steps, flashing brown eyes sweeping the room before she practically pounced on the Commander, grabbing the vial from the man with the Force and somehow stabilizing everything.

Putting the black thing in stasis.

Obi-Wan instantly flopped on the bed, like a puppet cut of its strings, his heart monitor going into a monotone beep and the healer cursed as she jumped to her feet and started restarting the Jedi master’s heart.

Struggling onto shaking feet, Anakin grasped Obi-Wan’s hand and desperately feed the redhead his energy as the healer restarted Obi-Wan’s heart, getting him breathing once more.

Fourth time since his rescue.

Fourth time Obi-Wan technically died on them.

Fourth and last time Anakin begged as the healer dragged Obi-Wan back into life.

The stuttered beat of Obi-Wan’s heart filled the room once again and Anakin shakily clung to the others hand as he blearily looked around the room. “…What happened?” He whispered, glancing at the confused Cody to the shaken Depa. “What is that?” Anakin’s eyes fell on the vial hovering in Depa’s Force stasis field.

Eyeing the vial carefully, Depa let out a deep breathe before shaking her head slowly. “I’m not sure, but it almost looks…” She trailed off, turning her head as the door opened up again to admit Adi, the tholothian looking spooked as she trailed the room before focusing on the stasis Depa was holding. “Adi?”

The fellow councilor crossed the room to peer at the vial. “I have no idea what happened in here but the entire temple felt it. I sent off a message to the rest of the council that I would investigate what had occurred and Master Che is on her way too.” She stated serenely, a slight tremble in her voice being the only tell to her true emotions.

“What is it?!” Anakin snapped, frustrated and shaking, grasping Obi-Wan’s hand in his as he continued to feed his former master energy as the healer worked on Obi-Wan.

A slight color was entering Obi-Wan’s cheeks but his blue tinged lips were terrifying Anakin despite it all.

He knew that the slight flush wouldn’t last, once the healer was done, Obi-Wan would go back to his slow heart beats and death like complexion.

He also wanted answers for Cody’s sake, the Commander standing there with a look of horror and guilt on his face, clearly feeling bad for what he had brought to them.

Adi and Depa exchanged looks before the tholothian master let out a deep sigh, levering a severe look at the tatooine native. “I am uncertain but I do believe that this,” She gestured to the vial. “Is master Kenobi’s blood.” Adi stated quietly, voice cracking on the last word.

Anakin stared at her, uncomprehending before slowly looking to the black crystal with red droplets tinting the inside of the vial.

His eyes were slowly widening up as realization set in.

Palpatine had drawn Obi-Wan’s blood, the machine steadily pumping it and Anakin hadn’t understood why the man would draw the blood from the stumps. It had seemed so random, it wasn’t really a torture technique even if it was unpleasant.

Now it made sense.

The karking monster had drawn Obi-Wan’s blood, had done something to it, twisting it.

Because Obi-Wan’s tears weren’t corruptible, Obi-Wan had only cried kyber once in his entire life and Anakin was the only one that knew of it.

So the Sith had found another way, tried another way to create red kyber from Obi-Wan only for that thing to happen.

“…Its why he won’t wake, isn’t it?” Anakin whispered, staring at the black kyber.

The Force rang with certainty at Anakin conclusion, all four Jedi stiffening even as Master Che entered, the twi’lek hurrying past the councilor’s to her fellow healer’s side to aid in Obi-Wan’s healing.

They now knew why Obi-Wan wouldn’t wake, why his body was decaying in front of them, the unnatural black kyber draining him of power, of will.

It was not meant to be and yet it existed by the power of Obi-Wan’s life.

Now the question was… could they save him?

Did knowing the how and the why help them heal Obi-Wan.

Clenching Obi-Wan’s hand between his, glancing at where the soft blue blanket fell in due to Obi-Wan’s missing legs, Anakin swallowed thickly.

He didn’t know what he would do if he lost Obi-Wan, he had promised so long ago to save him from anyone that would abuse him for his powers.

Yet he had failed.

‘Please Obi-Wan, cling just a little bit more. I’ll find a way, I’ll drag you back to life if I have to, I’ll fight the Force itself but you have to hold on a little bit more for me. Please.’ He begged the other mentally, gently caressing their silent bond in the Force as Depa and Adi contacted the rest of the council.

Quietly, Commander Cody approached Anakin however, his eyes full of despair.

It was enough to draw Anakin from his own, enough for him to loosen his mech hand from Obi-Wan’s.

He settled it on Cody’s shoulder, squeezing slightly as the man flinched, uncertainly staring at Anakin. “Thank you, Commander.” He stated seriously if a bit weakly.

“Sir?” Cody whispered quietly, tense.

Nodding towards the vial held in stasis, feeling sick simply by glancing in the direction, Anakin squeezed again. “That crystal, its draining Obi-Wan’s life energy. If we hadn’t seen it, if you hadn’t brought it here…” He trailed off.

Cody was a smart man, he could figure it out and by the way his eyes widened and then narrowed, the man clearly got it in seconds.

His jaw gritted before he nodded even as a blanket of relief crossed out the guilt, smothering it in the Force. “I understand sir…and sir?” Anakin tilted his head in question. “Thank you sir.” Cody whispered quietly.

Anakin’s lips turned into a terse smile and Anakin nodded, understanding what the other wouldn’t say.

Thank you for explaining.

Thank you for not blaming me.

Thank you.

Just thank you.

‘You got a Commander to come back to Obi-Wan…’ Anakin let his hand drop from Cody’s shoulder. ‘We all need our friend… so hold, if for nothing else than for us.’ Anakin raised the others hand and pressed it to his lips, feeling the ice cold skin against the warmth of his lips.

Hey what are your thoughts on people who hate the jedi? I’m just tired of hearing their arguments sometimes. I thought you might have more insight

Honestly, sometimes I just feel like they make them scapegoats for all that’s wrong.

Or they don’t understand how utterly fucked the Jedi are in the entire system and just how beholden they are to the Senate and how much Palpatine manipulated and boggled them down.

But a lot of people who hate honestly don’t care to see it differently.

To them the Jedi are bad, Anakin was right to pull a genocide on an entire people, Palpatine is the ‘good’ guy so to speak and hurray for the Empire. Its not like its a bad dictorial thing with slaves and death around every corner where Palpatine lapdogs brutally reinforce the rules while lining their own pockets.

Honestly, I don’t get Jedi hate. I understand dislike of them, they should have done SOMETHING, a change or maybe left but in the end they’re basically a branch of very powerful people, affiliated with the goverment…that are in the end utterly powerless to change things.

That’s the truth, the Jedi are in the end powerless to change the Senate or the Republic because if they did that, they wouldn’t BE the Jedi.

They could LEAVE of course but that in the end wouldn’t change what the Senate and the Republic is and how Palpatine used the Senate to enact many a schemes with his cohorts.

But maybe they could have saved themselves at least and brought Anakin, their eventual downfall, out of Palpatine’s influence.

Because without Palpatine’s meddling and outright grooming, I think Anakin would have turned out so much better.

The Jedi were never perfect.

But as I keep saying and will keep on saying until the day I die, they were sentient people, fuck knows I fuck up often so I don’t expect them to be so much better.

Show me someone that never fucks up and I will show you a liar…or potentially a narsissist, I hear those people don’t think they make mistakes.

Sorry to bother but I looked forever and simply cannot find the AU that I’m like, 99% sure you wrote where Obi wan wakes up in a universe where all of the jedi are instead siths. What is the name of it? (Or if I’m wrong, who did write it? 😂)

I honestly got at least two of those. One is Candle in the dark and the other Mirror Au, you will have to check them out to see if its the one though the concept is not unfamiliar, there are other writers who have written Sith Au’s
