Anakin asking Obi-Wan how parents can give up their children to the Jedi?

“…How can parents give their babies to the Jedi? Don’t they
love them?”

Obi-Wan closed his eyes at the question. He had been expecting it for
quite some time now but he knew to give Anakin his own time to ask
them. It still didn’t make answering the twelve year old easy.

“I mean I get why mom wanted me to go with Qui-Gon, we were slaves.
If I became a Jedi I could do so much more, be so much more. But
others…Talum says he was given to the order at the age of two and
Jo’bia says she’s always been here.” The blond frowned down at
his data pad and then looked at his master who was standing stock
still. “…Master?”

Obi-Wan took a slow breath through his nose and let it out through
his mouth before turning the stove of and moving to sit down in front
of Anakin at the table. “Anakin, I ask you to have patience with me
on this since its…not an easy subject.”

Force above knew it was a very sensitive subject for some.

Obi-Wan ran his hand through his hair as the blond slowly nodded.

“…Its not that they don’t love their children. Most of them
absolutely adore their children Anakin. But most of them also
recognize that…with a child…with powers like ours-” He floated
a pear in the fruit bowl, letting it linger for a few moments before
putting it down. “Need training.”

“So they…give their babies over?” Anakin blinked.

“Not always. Some find other ways to have their children trained.
There are other Force welders out there. But not all are as well
known.” Obi-Wan tapped his fingers on the table. “Jedi however
are known in all Republic worlds and beyond. Some like us, some hate
us. But they all know what we can do. And sometimes…they don’t
understand the power their children can weld. If a child screams
because its hungry and the light goes out…how is someone untrained
suppose to handle that?”

He sighed and ran his hand over his hair again. “We don’t take
the babies. Not unless there’s suspicion about abuse Anakin. No
child is stolen to be a Jedi. And sometimes the children who don’t
become knights…go home.” He shrugged.

“They go…oh.”

“Yes. If we know the parents would want them back, we offer them
that choice.” Obi-Wan nodded. He had been surprised about it but it
made sense that some would want to go back if they didn’t become
Jedi. “The rest become members of the cores. Looked after and taken
care of. Looking back…the idea of becoming a farmer isn’t so
scary to me anymore” He chuckled quietly.

Anakin blinked at him with wide blue eyes.

“Does that answer your question?”

“I…I think so? Its not that they don’t love their kids. Its
that they want their kids to have the best chances?”

Obi-Wan smiled. “A simple explanation but a right one. Yes Anakin.
Not everyone agrees of course. But once again…if a child only has
to scream because its hungry and the light goes out, what is a parent
to do?”

Imagine after the Rako Hardeen arc, obi wan dies (for reals) and Anakin refuses to believe it. He thinks it’s another one of the councils tricks, and despite Anakin watching obi die, he still refuses to believe his master is gone

Anakin
couldn’t believe it.

Obi-Wan
had done it again.

Dying
his kriffing ass. So what if he had seen the body, he’d seen
Obi-Wan’s body once before during the whole Hardeen mess and Obi-Wan
had come back from that. He wondered what kind of osik reason the
Council and Obi-Wan would feed him this time about it.

Ahsoka
had been looking more and more worried for him.

But
why shouldn’t he be angry.

Obi-Wan
had promised never to repeat it again.

He was
going to yell at him when he came back.

So
what if Cody and the 212 had been reassigned to another Jedi. That
happened and Anakin was looking forward to seeing Cody give the other
Jedi a long cold shoulder.

It had
been three months already. He’d be due back anytime now from whatever
mission he had to die for…right?

Mace/Obi-wan? They’ve been «dating» for a while and everyone knows except Obi-wan who is just finding out

“Master?” Anakin slid into
Obi-Wan’s room, finding his master sitting on his own bed and staring
at the closet. “Master? You missed out on meditation and Master
Windu keeps calling the coms, he says yours is turned off.” The
blond noted a twitch going through the others shoulders at Windu’s
name

“I…oh.”

“Are you alright master?” Anakin
frowned in concern, hoping Windu hadn’t fucked up.

“I…Mace called earlier, he was
asking if I had any of his robes…” Obi-Wan hesitantly offered and
Anakin blinked, glancing at the closet. Several pair of robes hung
there that were slightly to big for his master and a pair of boot in
a dark rich brown compared to his master’s preference for red hide.

“I…see? You do.” He pretended to
understand and Obi-Wan tilted his head.

“And then I noticed that the bathroom
is full of Mace things and that eight out of the twelve things I have
planned this week is with Mace…I…how long have I been dating
Mace?” He looked up in bewilderment at Anakin, green eyes wide and
confused. And dared Anakin think, a bit scared?

Anakin knelt down in front of the other
and held onto his hands. “You didn’t notice?”

Obi-Wan shrugged awkwardly, biting his
lips. “I just…sex is nice?”

Anakin sat back o his heels in
surprise, staring at his master. “Oh…Oh Obi-Wan.” He reached
out and pulled him into his arms, holding his slightly smaller Master
tightly, age having given the blond the advantage of growing very
tall.

“…When did I start dating him?”

“About eight months ago. And everyone
noticed except you I think.” Anakin rubbed the others back, cursing
Qui-Gon in the back of his mind for not weeding out the self doubt
and self loathing from the redhead when he was still a padawan.

“Everyone?”

“Yeah, that’s why Dex always has a
small table for you two when you show up you know. And why Master
Bant tends to call Mace and me if you’re in the medical wing.”

“…Oh…”

Wing!Obi-Wan. How about Obi-Wan, adrenaline junkie that he is, jumping from a gunship and Anakin having attacks. ;)

His
wings were rustling.

Obi-Wan’s
wings were rustling.

Anakin
eyed his master and then focused back on Rex, talking quietly to him
about the planet they were about to land on, sharing what kind of
fauna they were bound to encounter, the civilian population and of
course the chances of enemy encounter.

But
his master’s wings were rustling, still clearly heard (at least by
Anakin) in the cargo hold of the gunship.

Since
the brown mottled appendages had burst from his master’s back, the
man had become even more difficult to keep track of, often opting to
taking a flying leap of buildings or even ships. Anakin had almost
had a few heart attacks from the pure shock of seeing his reverent
master jumping of a tall building to swoop down on their enemies.

And
then there were the actual battlefields where his master had swooped
down on actual dangerous enemies to fight them like some kind of
avenging angel from legends. Though Ventress face the first time it
had happened when Obi-Wan burst from a cloudy sky, with his
lightsaber out was still engraved in Anakin’s mind.

His
master went to the front to talk to Odd Ball, leaning in to speak to
the clone with a warm smile on his face. His wings were still
rustling.

It had
taken Obi-Wan less then a week to train his muscles to accommodate
flying, though in the start the redhead had only managed short
distances on gliding. The Negotiator had hit the holonet harder then
anything too, Anakin honestly wondered if the other had more fans now
then even he.

Obi-Wan
was moving back to his position, eyes on the hatch. Anakin felt a
warning tingle up his spine.

“Odd
Ball if you please?” His master’s voice was full of excitement.

“Oh
no, mas-” The hatch opened and Anakin lunged for the redhead only
for him to slip away in his own jump, falling out the hatch with a
woot, wings folded against his back to get a sharp drop before he
opened them, the wind carrying his delighted cry.

“…Okay,
the next time my master asks anyone to open the hatch before we’re
landed, I’m THROWING them out after him.”

More obikin, with suitless Vader please?

The
bells around his ankles chimed with every step he took with his bare
feet and as much as he wanted to wince from the sound alone, the
former Jedi managed to keep his face blank. If only because he didn’t
want to give more fodder to the Empire’s cronies tales.

Instead
he made his way to the top of the table and stopped at Vader’s side.
“You summoned me?” He asked quietly.

“You’re
late.” Lazy eyes peered up at him, silvers of amusement in them,
recognizing his former masters dislike of the bells at his ankles.

“I
was with the twins.” Obi-Wan crossed his arms over his chest and
felt a twinge of discomfort as yellow eyes traced the v of his tunic
that showed part of his collarbone and neck.

“Of
course. I’m starting to regret giving you permission to come and go
to them as you wish, since its depriving me of your company.” Vader
drawled before standing, peering down at his former master. Obi-Wan
hated how his shoulders hunched in on themselves on instinct, trying
to make himself seem smaller in front of the man that had once been
his padawan.

Vader
however seemed to enjoy it as he smirked and nodded to the rest of
his entourage before slipping his arm around Obi-Wan’s waist and
leading him away. “The Emperor has been kind enough to give me
control of Naboo and a few weeks of leave from my position.” He
drawled.

“How
magnanimous of him.” The former Jedi murmured before yelping as he
was pushed against the wall, the back of his head cracking
unpleasantly against the durasteel wall, pinned between it and
Anakin’s warm body as the robotic hand rested against his throat,
cold and heavy.

“Considering
the pardon he extended to you at my behest, very.” Vader growled at
him, a warning that Obi-Wan was overstepping himself once again.

The
copper haired man flinched when a softer human hand caressed his
cheek.

“You
shouldn’t fear me, I wouldn’t harm you Obi-Wan.” Vader lost the
growl.

“Not
sure I believe that Va-” The hand at his throat tightened slightly
in warning. “…Anakin, you have proven yourself quite capable of
many things I did not believe of you.” Obi-Wan offered and Vader
hummed at him, leaning in to gently nose at his neck. “I know the
transition from honored Jedi Master to pampered war prisoner has been
a rough transition for you, but aren’t you happy I let you see the
twins at least. I don’t want to harm you former master of mine, I
only want you safe, cared for, with me.” He slipped his arms around
Obi-Wan’s waist, dominating hands settling on his narrow hips and
pulling the redhead from the wall and against his own body.

He
nudged the others head to the left with his nose, exposing more of
the others throat to his lips. “We are leaving for Naboo, today.
The twins will visit Padme’s grave, we’ll stay at one of the summer
palaces and we will enjoy ourselves. I hope this is agreeable?” He
murmured against the pale freckled skin.

He
felt the other hesitate before Obi-Wan sighed and gave a slight nod.

“Good.”

I’m not usually for Mpreg but I do like what you’ve written, it’s so fluffy and cute and I like it. Maybe a bit more, please ? Overprotective Anakin and clones on the battlefield ? (Or what if the baby is, you know, babiES.)

“No.”

“Anakin
be reso-”

“No.
Ashoka, sit on him. Make sure he doesn’t try to leave the tent.”
Anakin glared at his master and Obi-Wan glared back.

“Ashoka,
tell your master he’s being a very unreasonable.”

“Actually
Master Obi-Wan…I agree with him, you really shouldn’t be leading
this charge.” The togruta offered.

“Not
you too! I am n-”

“You’re
pregnant!”

“I’m
just in my third month!”

“You
were throwing up all last day! You can barely eat the rations as it
is and living on tea is not good for the babies!”

“I
kno-wait, babies!?” Obi-Wan yelped, sitting up more.

Anakin
crossed his arms over his chest and nodded. “Babies. Two, I can
tell, feel them. You didn’t know?” He raised his eyebrows at the
others stunned face.

“…Sweet
Force. One sounded difficult enough.” Obi-Wan scrubbed his face
with his hands. “Look, Anakin, how about a compromise? I will not
lead the charge but I can follow behind with the secondary team?”
He looked up at his former padawan, raising his eyebrows.

“…Both
Cody and Rex are staying with you. And Waxer and Boil…and Kix.”
Anakin pressed his lips togheter.

“You
just named five of the most protective clones you could that’s on
planet didn’t you.”

“Oh
big time. And if something happened both Cody and Rex would want to
be there and Kix would know what to do while Waxer and Boil protected
everyone. And we are going right to Coruscant after this mess is done
and you are going in front of the council.”

“I
told Cody and Rex that I would when I started showing!”

“You
are showing! A lot, you can’t get most of your armor on anymore
eve-Obi-Wan, why are your eyes growing watery? Master?”

“I’m
not that big yet!”

“Ah!
Don’t start crying!”
