Qui-Gon held tight to Obi-Wan’s gifted braid, separate now from the man before him. Although still weak from Naboo the Master summoned the strength to straighten his spine as Obi-Wan bowed deeply.
This is a commission by the amazingly talented @orientalld , for my Vaderwan series to have and to hold. The scene in particular is from the second part of the series, an anatomy of want. I literally couldn’t love it more!

You know, I sometimes or rather often when I write fics, think about
how different Anakin and Obi-Wan are and yet so alike.
Not in the sense of
physical of course but more emotionally and mentally.
Both Anakin and
Obi-Wan are extremely loving and loyal.
But I think an
issue in their communications is how they express it.
Anakin it seems
needs to be told, needs words all the time and often expresses
himself that way.
Obi-Wan however
seems to show his care and his emotions in the way he acts, from how
he touches someone to how he does things for them or around them.
And its such a sad
thing because we all know Obi-Wan loves, but Anakin doesn’t seem to
be able to understand him, because of how they express themselves so
differently.
I am not WHOLLY sure on the search function honestly. Sometimes it seems broken, other times it seems fine.
