I don’t know if this is meaningful or stress-relieving for anyone, but it feels like the kind of thing that fandom writing communities don’t talk about much. And I just want to put it out there:

It’s okay if I love your writing and you don’t love mine.

We all have different tastes and different writing styles. Mine might not work for you. That doesn’t mean my writing is bad or your taste is suspect. It means we’re different people with our own preferences and boundaries. You can be welcome here, regardless of how you feel about what I write. And if I gush about your writing, it’s because I want to. Don’t feel awkward about not returning the sentiment. I don’t take that personally. And I never will.

So, it’s canon now that Yarael Poof and Oppo Rancisis are at least several centuries old, because they appear in the High Republic stories, which makes me really happy that Yoda and Yaddle have other people in the Jedi Order who are as long-lived as they are, the kind of bittersweetness that creates at seeing so much of this amazing galaxy but also having to see so many grandbabies passing away BUT ALSO

Just imagining the sheer chaos of their little circle of old grannies and grandpas who probably get together for tea every Space Sunday and play space pinochle and gossip about which grandkid isn’t eating enough and they need to fatten them up or which grandkid’s outfit is a little too plain and they think it would be adorable to put a cute bedazzled obi around their tabards or which grandkid suddenly needs a very noisy temporary training saber because their Master wasn’t listening when Yaddle gave them some good advice last week.

It’s not just Frog Grandpa, NO YOU GET FROG GRANDPA AND SNAKE GRANDPA AND LONG NECK GRANDPA AND THEY ARE A SINGLE UNITED MEDDLING GRANDPARENT FORCE.

Oh, I thought Plo Koon was also pretty old, I read somewhere he was like 300?

But yay! Long lived snake and long neck grandpa! And Yarael Poof likes PRANKS, so its a long necked prank grandpa!
