It’s funny to think about relationship of Anakin and Qui-Gon. If Qui-Gon was alive, what was different? In my opinion, Anakin must have liked Qui-Gon like a dad !
At 3, Qui-Gon gets to know that his way worked to his padawan in the past. (Dooku is still a jedi, of course)
