Because someone might as well!? And look at this. Look. At. This.
Does this look right to you??
These are just the last three fics I wrote. I appreciate the likes, believe me I do, but you have to understand. Likes do nothing for content creators. It’s the reblogs. Because that’s how you find shit on your dashboard. Through reblogs. Not likes. This isn’t twitter or tiktok or instagram. This is a website that’s run by the reblog system.
Reblogging helps content creators put their stuff out there. Why do you think so many people stopped writing fanfic and creating beautiful fanart and edits? It’s because they put in hours of work and don’t get nearly enough notes for their masterpieces. Yes we do this because we enjoy it but like…some validation won’t hurt. A boost of confidence here and there might be all someone needs to finish whatever thing they started and left.
Anyway, I’m still going to reblog my shit…
For god’s sake, my answer to this anon and the opinions of every content creator in the comment section of this post, that has experienced and continues to experience the same fucking thing, is not trying to put the blame on readers. We are only referring to how this website works. It’s based on reblogs. That’s it. That’s the post.
We are saying, reblog our shit when you enjoy it because others will see it on their dashboards and might like it and then they will reblog it so others can see it on their own dashboards and like it and reblog it and so on.
In no way am I referring to the search option on tumblr. I am talking about how reblogs put content on more dashboards for more people to see.
And frankly, if you’re the type of individual that enjoys something, genuinely enjoys it, then you’re going to reblog and you won’t have an issue with what I’m saying, and this post is not meant for you. Obviously. You’re helping us out and we love you and you most likely agree with what we’re trying to say.
But don’t come here with ‘blaming readers will drive them away’ because you know what, we’re literally only just asking for you to click on one button. One single button. We’re not asking for payment or anything, just for you to click on a small button. If I’m driving you away by simply asking you to click on the reblog button instead of the like button, then I don’t know what to tell you other than I’m sorry that asking something so simple of you is irritating.
I’m sorry but I just can’t agree with that argument nor can I understand it. It doesn’t follow. At all.
You know when babies come up to you and gift you things, and you don’t know what to do? (At least I don’t).
Anyway, Grogu has a collection of pretty rocks/trinkets from all the places he and Din have visited, and he was playing with them on the floor when he decided to give Dad one of the pretty shiny ones. Din is mostly bemused…he doesn’t really get it.
This was the one thing I’ve finished in the last like, 4 days, and it was literally a spur of the moment idea based off the last photo. Anyways, let me know who you think would win: Jango vs Yoda beat down!! (Obnoxious Airhorn Noises™️)
the sheer offensiveness of rereading something you wrote, discovering that, hey, it’s actually pretty good, and then reaching the end, wherein you realize that if you want more you actually have to write it
fuck’s sake
writers will look at their own WIPs and be like “is anyone gonna finish that” and then close the tab
